Calcium Silicon Powder
1. Description:
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a stable compound; it is supplied in the form of solid with approximate melting point of 1245°C and boiling point 1800°C in normal atmospheric pressure.
Solubility in water reacts with moist gas and water.
Silicon Calcium Alloy is a potent deoxidizer and desulfurizer utilized in the production of high grade steels. Although Silicon itself is a powerful deoxidizer, Calcium is by far more powerful. In addition, Calcium Silicon is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility, and impact properties of the final product. Calcium Silicon can be obtained in lump or powder form. The most widely used method for intergraded steel applications is in the form of cored wire. This is mainly because calcium has a low density and high reactivity in the ladle making it difficult to introduce and retain in the melt. Cored wire eliminates these variables.

3. Application:
(1) Silicon calcium alloy is an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurizer.
(2) CaSi is generally used in manufacturing steel of high quality and low carbon, and the same as the production of stainless.
(3) CaSi is also served as a starting material for other special alloys, such as nickel base alloy and titanium base alloy.
(4) Silicon Calcium Alloy can also be used as the inoculant of cast iron and the additive in the production of nodular cast iron.

- Q: I think it's Nu-Metal or Glam Metal.
- I am a girl first of all, and my taste I prefer metal handcuffs. I think I would like that better because to me how I see it, if you like to be cuffed up then you like hot, rough s*x. So why have comfortable fluffy things. When you could have something that suites the situation a bit better. You know what I mean? :)
- Q: looking for some great nu metal bands. thankx!
- Metal is forever Emo is a trend
- Q: I would like to know if you concider MetalCore and DeathCore bands metal bands and why. Also do you concider Metal a type of Rock. Last, do you concider MetalCore and DeathCore rock?
- umm...well captain oblivious... it affects you however you let it!! duh!
- Q: 5 characteristics of alkaline metal5 characteristics of transition metal5 characteristics of alkali metal
- because most reactive metals don't last long in their unbonded state, and will dissipate or react fast, most of the elements we found were in bonded states, and we separated them, while non reactive metals are quite stable by them selves, and would last longer in the open air.
- Q: Can Blast beats be played in Thrash metal? and what is the difference between Thrash Metal and Speed metal?
- to add on to the guy above^ metals are conductive and nonmetals are insulative the bonding of the two are different different crystal structures (metals are bcc, fcc, or hcp) Also, I wouldn't say nonmetals have a lower melting point than metals. Just think about refractories in a furnace. They have to have a higher melting point than the metal so they don't melt, right?
- Q: So I want to no what people call metal to day...because some people put bands in that are striat up rock band or pop bands..
- You're an idiot.
- Q: Compare by periodic properties!Thanks
- Most elements ARE metals. The elements are classified as either metals or nonmetals. The number of metals exceeds the number of nonmetals. But not all metals exist in nature in the elemental, metallic state. The three most common are copper, silver and gold (which also turn out to be the forms of early money.)
- Q: Because I like breaking benjamin's blow me away but if alternative metal is evil, I won't like it.
- Metallic bonds occur among metal atoms. Whereas ionic bonds join metals to non-metals, metallic bonding joins a bulk of metal atoms. A sheet of aluminum foil and a copper wire are both places where you can see metallic bonding in action. The sea of electrons is free to flow about the crystal of positive metal ions. When metallic bonds form, the s and p electrons delocalize. Instead of orbiting their atoms, they form a sea of electrons surrounding the positive metal ions. The electrons are free to move throughout the resulting network
- Q: I looking to get the whole Metal Gear collection. Besides the Original one for Nintendo which Metal Gear games will work on the PS3? Also I can't rember which one it is but which Metal Gear is it were Snake meets Otocon and Rex for the first time
- Extracting a metal from a metal oxide IS reduction. Why? When it's part of an oxide, the metal has a charge (a metal oxide is an ionic compound). For instance, in MgO, Mg has a +2 charge and O has a -2 charge. In Al2O3, Al has a +3 charge and O is again -2. When the metal is extracted, it has NO charge. So if you extract Mg from MgO, Mg goes from a +2 charge to a 0 charge by gaining electrons ... that's reduction. At the same time, oxygen goes from a -2 to a 0 (the element O2 is formed) by giving up 2 electrons ... that's oxidation. In removing Al from Al2O3, Al goes from a +3 charge to a 0 charge. Again, that's reduction. Oxygen is again oxidized.
- Q: Are there any Animes about extreme metal? Like maybe K-ON, but with Black Metal or something.Thanks.
- Metals are malleable, ductile and sonorous...They have a metallic luster...and are electrically conductive.. On a chemical note metals..metals react with oxygen to form oxides..metal oxides are basic and neutral in nature..metals react with water and produce a metal oxide and hydrogen gas or metal hydroxide..metals react with dilute acids to give salt and hydrogen.. On atomic note, metals lose electrons and become positively charged ions and are called as cations..
