- Grindcore is a bit hard to explain. Basically the name come from the fact that it was greatly influenced by hardcore punk and the grind (the intense speed and fuzzy sound) that the majority of grindcore bands have. Notable bands are; Napalm Death, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Brutal Truth, Extreme Noise Terror, and Pig Destroyer.
