Q:what is the best speaker wire for some subwoofers that are rated between 500rms watts to 750rms watts
loxotox has finally conviced me that he is obviously lying about his accomplishments. There is no way in hell that 2 or 4 gauge wire will fit to wire up the coils on these subs. It is physically impossible, unless you shave down the wire. I would not recomend doing that at all, that is speaking from what I know about electronics. I would suggest using 12 or maybe 10 gauge wire. You can use lighter wire but will not get optimum performance from your sub.
Q:I purchased a wiring harness to install an aftermarket receiver in my 2000 Chevy Cavalier, also. I have lost the insert that came with the harness and as such I am at a loss as to how to wire my receiver to the harness.help

Q:how to wire a receptacle with 6 wires?
use 3 wire nuts and 3 jumpers, color to color and then connect the others together. Black wire to the dark screw, white color to the silver screw and the green to the ground connection. If this does not make sense to you contact a local qualified professional electrician to do the work.
Q:US electrical tech question from a non electrically minded fag. I have a dimmer controlling a light and a single light switch controlling a fan. There is one blue wire going to the dimmer and one blue wire going to the switch. There is one black wire going to a 2nd terminal on the switch, which is also connected to a 2nd wire leading to the 2nd terminal on the dimmer. Now tell me how to wire an outlet into this ******* mess.Inb4 op is a fag, inb4 op should post this somewhere else, inb4 turn the power on and touch the wires, inb4 op can't inb4
From the sounds of your description, you are in the UK or a country where they use UK wireing system and standards. If ythis so and by outlet you mean a receptacle, then you do not wire an outlet to the lighting circuit. Receptacles are wired on separate circuits only meant for receptacles. Take CRISDRUMCHICK's advice, hire a reputable, qualified electrician. You do not know enough to do the job safely. Inb4 op is a fag, inb4 op should post this somewhere else, inb4 turn the power on and touch the wires, inb4 op can't inb4 - What is this nonsense? It looks and is degrading and uncalled for in Yahoo Answers.
Q:sence my stock head unit has no remote wire, when I hook the amp up, will it still drain the battery? I have everything connected, but the deck does not have no remote wire, and if it does I have no idea how to locate it. I am worried it will continue to run the amp when the car is off and drain the battery. Am I worried for nothing? If it will continue to drain the battery, how do I prevent this from happening?
just run a wire from you positive battery terminal to a small 5a fuse then to a 5dollar switch from your local autoparts store and hook it to you remote screw terminal on your amp. now evertime you leave your care just turn the switch off, then when your readt to hear some jams turn it on, you really dont want to splice into any existing wires because it could interfere with the computer diagnostics when you get you inspection.
Q:i want to now which is the live wire and which is nuteral thank you
No. you are able to besides the undeniable fact that convert it to a minimum of one one hundred twenty volt circuit in case you do here: on the panel, do away with the present 2 pole breaker and replace it with a single pole. deploy a breaker sparkling in the conceal to satisfy code or yet another sg pl breaker as a spare. Or for the 2d circuit you curiously might want to have. Now then, the present twine ought to be as small as #10 (for a small A/C in basic terms unit) or as great as #4 for a great unit with strip warmth. you will ought to splice a short piece of the hot twine to the present as a manner to get it below the breaker. it somewhat is allowed by utilising Code. the different twine from the previous breaker with ought to be coloured white as much as you are able to. some jurisdictions enable as low as 6 others want the completed uncovered length. Now flow it to the impartial bar. through fact the version in value between a 15amp and 20amp circuit isn't plenty, i want to propose 20. on the a/c, if there is not a junction container present deploy one. If there's a pull-out, knife swap or breaker sort disconnect present i want to propose changing it to a 4 sq. x a million-5/8 deep steel container w/conceal. utilising twine nuts splice the present wires to the hot ones. do not forget approximately to floor the container (in line with Code). in case you're working 12/2 romex or MC you need to strap it interior of 12 of the container and each 4' there after. The suggestion to set a 30amp sub panel would not sound particularly appropriate to me purely now. yet then it somewhat is previous due and that i'm unable to make the hassle to seem it as much as be certain. Sorry. If time helps the next day i'm going to do my maximum suitable to study it an edit my answer.
Q:A potential difference of 13 V is found to produce a current of 0.37 A in a 3.1 m length of wire with a uniform radius of 0.42 cm.(a) What is the resistance of the wire? (b) What is the resistivity of the wire? Please show work.
P. D. applied = V = 13 V Current produced = I = 0.37 A (a) Resistance of the wire = R = V / I = 13/0.37 = 35.14 Ohm (b) R = ρL/A = (ρL) / π r?) = ρ = (R A) / L = R (π r?) / L ......... (1) R = Resistance of the wire = 35.14 Ohm , L = length of the wire = 3.1 m A = Area of cross-section of the wire = π r? r = radius of cross-section of the wire = 0.42 cm = 0.0042 m ρ = Resistivity of the wire in Ohm-m Substitute the values in the formula (1) and calculate. Take π = 3.14
Q:I am changing an outside light with a inside wall switch there is 2 cables going to the outside box. ( 3 wires -white w/red line wire and black wire and green ground wire ) other cable 3 wires is white wire and black wire and green ground wire.On the inside switch is 3 wires white wire a black wire a green ground wire.for some reason it is not working, can any one tell me how to wire and or test for power. thank you
Sounds like, cable #1 is coming from the Service Panel. The white ( with red line?) is the Neutral and connects to the white wire coming from the light fixture. The black is the Hot and connects to the black of the other cable set. The grounds all connect together and a pig tail should be fastened to the box if it is metal. The white wire from the other cable set should have black tape wrapped around the end to re-identify it as Hot and it should connect to the black wire coming from the light fixture. At the switch, connect the black to one terminal and wrap black tape on the white wire end and connect it to the other terminal. The ground should connect to the green ground terminal and if it has a metal box,pig tail to that.
Q:I know I am suppose to run the RCA cables and power cables on opposite sides of the car, but which side do I put the speaker wires on, ps I have an amp so I'll be running the wires from my trunk
Red white yes, shouldn't need the toggle. It will turn off with the ignition.
Q:I have a 1988 ford econoline, and I'm upgrading my radio. I need a straight up answer, I need to know what the colors for each wire stands for, function wise.
