- what you need to do is buy the book for your car at autozone. and look at the radio wiring diagram. i had a similiar porblem but with the book it shall tell you were to hook the wires

- As long as you are using a good strong gauge wire(4 gauge or lower) then No. That is also assuming your just wanting to swich amps out not add on. Just unhook the old amp and put the new one in it place long as your wires or good to go.
- Q: I recently Hooked a newer Pioneer cd player up in my 00 mustang gt!.. it will not keep memory. The only way it will come on is when the red(power) is hooked up with the Yellow wire!.. but this way it will not hold a memory.. theres a few orange wires but i have hooked them up and it still wont keep memory? any suggestions?
- When wiring the Red and Yellow together, the radio will have constant power to it at all times. Try to rewire it so they aren't wired together so it doesn't keep on at all times, and as far as the memory issue, I suggest calling Pioneer, there could be a problem with the actual head unit.
- Q: what is the yellow wire, what is the grey wire, and the black
- Depends on each stereo and the wiring in your truck. Black is probably a ground. As for the yellow and the grey, one is probably a constant 12v, the other a keyed 12v. If the wiring is on your truck, get a voltmeter and test it. If the wiring is on your stereo, get the manual for it.
- Q: why do screen filters have wires with them?
- The wire should connect to the monitor framing. Just find a screw and connect the wire to there. Google for Faraday shield - your wire drains the current from RF energy radiating from the monitor but absorbed by your screen - a concept that doesn't apply to LCD monitors, which don't radiate RF - just to the CRT models. Most CRT monitors have such a shield built-in, so you've wasted your money - IMHO - unless it also provides antiglare. Good luck.
- Q: my light stopped working ( a chandalier ). It has brown wires, blue wires, red wires, beige wires, and white wires.
- Wow, this is a first. most lights have just two wires a black<hot and a white<neutral wire and you just hook black to black using a wire-nut and the same with the white wire and the switch completes the circuit. In some ceiling fans they have blue or brown wires that are also hot to run to the lights at the bottom of the ceiling fans to power that but a chandelier should not have all of that. You might want to call in an electrician for this particular problem because if its a junction box with other wires hooked into that area it could cause a fire or worse a loss of life if you don't know what your doing and disconnect the electricity from the electrical panel by shutting off the power and checking it with a meter. Hope this helps and I would love to see a pic of that chandelier that has that many different color wires!!! wow
- Q: i just bought a 97 jeep wrangler..the soundbar isnquot;t hooked up. I pulled the carpet back and found the following: a red wire connecting the soundbar to under the dash (probably power), and a black wire connecting the soundbar to metal. there are 4 small wires unattached to anything coming from the soundbar, and a red and white sound wire coming from under the dash (actually has plugs like on a tv surround system), and a ground wire all unattached. how can i hook this mess up to make the soundbar work. i do have sound coming from the front dash speakers. thanks for help.
- i love that jeep best year hold up the best i would take the wires from the sound bar and get rid of them i would just run fresh wires to the back of my stero the tv wires are plugs are for like a sub or ipod there should be 8 wires at the back of your radio 2 to each speaker so 2 the left 2 ot the right and 2 for the left rear and 2 for the right rear the stero should have one sold color and one that has like a blak line on it same color gray with blue green are comon what stero head you got

- Q: But when I look closely (you can't see it in the picture unfortunately) there are some tiny wisps of the coiled copper wire that looks as if it could have been connected to the pulled wire. I'm not sure.How do I connect the wires to make the headsets work again?If you guys need more pictures, please tell me.Thanks in advance!
- i've worked in fine wires like this and it is very difficult, espeically if you thin kkyou wnat to solder them. also, yoj're correct, those pics are horrible, you need better ones if you want real answers here.
- Q: How do you properly wrap copper wires? We have been using electrical tape and it's melting the tape. This is in a camper, and it's in the electrical box. We're using this tape because the wires kept touching and arcing off of each other...I'm guessing :/
