- Q: I just cant figure it out i must have wasted 10 pieces of tile trying the tile that is currently laid on the floor..it hasnt been cut at all to get it to fit..and its not two pieces..its one piece of tile that has 2 circles cut into it that fit perfectly that looks like the radiator was picked up and the legs placed into the holeshow do i do this? i know you are SUPPOSED to cut the tile in half and them put it back together..but..im just curious if there is a way im not thinking about??
- The radiator was removed, and placed in the holes as the last person that tiled did not want to add a short piece of pipe to the radiator. Check out the radiator connection, and it might just be easier to install a pipe that is 1 inch longer, and put a whole piece of tile down.

- you can do either if you paint you need to prime it 1st and use 100% acrylic paint
- Q: I was using a steam mop and it started getting very hot and tripping the breaker system. electrician told me there was too many amps (?) for the small electrical cord to handle. He said most of the steam mops can be potentialy dangerous for this reason. My outlets and breaker system have been fine since I stopped using the mop.But now, it is very difficult to keep the tile floors clean. Any suggestions?
- For my tile it depends on what color tile you have. I got white tile in my kitchen and i used a little bit of Pinesol mixed with hot water it cleans it good actually you can use that for all tile just a little big but make sure its dried. never used clorax unless you have just plain white tile. uses a little of that. steam mop is good but i use also the shark steam mop it also does the trick it is a faster way to get the job done you can buy that in bed bath beyond or Walmart.

- Its not easy by any means, but its something that I feel most home owners could handle over a weekend. I would recommend that you use a large heavy blade floor scrapper and a big hammer. Basically you smack each tile in the center, which breaks the tile loose underneath then you use the scrapper to take everything off to bare wood.
- Q: When tiling a counter top, do you need to remove the existing covering? I am assuming that I would. If so, should I apply the tile directly to the plywood? Will the plywood be wide enough?
- take the original tile off. Do not tile on the plywood. You have to put backerboard on top of the plywood, then you apply the tile to the backerboard. So it goes plywood....then backerboard .....then tile. It's easy, but also make sure your tiles are properly sealed. You can get water spots and stains on your tile that won't come out if they are not sealed. Good luck, don't be intimidated as it's fairly easy, just time consuming and messy. go to one of those free homedepot classes if you are not sure. They are 10 minutes and informative

THIS IS THE BACKING THAT WILL HOLD AND SECURE THE TILE TO THE FLOOR. ALWAYS START WITH A FULL PIECE OF TILE IN THE DOORWAY OF YOUR BATHROOM. WORK YOUR WAY TO THE BACK..THATS WHERE YOU WANT ALL THE TILE THAT GETS CUT TO END. THAT WAY YOU HAVE ALL FULL PIECES WHERE IT COUNTS. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A WET SAW..IT'S FINE. LAY ALL OF YOUR FULL PIECES THE FIRST DAY.DONT WALK ON THE FLOOR FOR A DAY . THEN THE NEXT DAY IS GOING TO BE ALL THE CUT TILES U NEED TO INSTALL. YOU CAN GET A CHEAP TILE CUTTER FOR UNDER 15 DOLLARS AT HOME DEPOT FOR ALL OF YOUR STRIGHT CUTS. IF YOU HAVE A TILE THAT NEEDS TO BE NOTCHED OR A ' L ' CUT..MARK ..MARK THE TILE WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE BUT..WRITE ON THE BACK OF THE TILE WITH EITHER NUMBER OR LETTERS SO U REMEMBER WHERE IT GOES..TRANSFER THE SAME NUMBER OR LETTER TO THE FLOOR SO U DONT FORGET. TAKE ALL THE PIECES TO BE CUT TO HOME DEPOT..THEY HAVE A WET SAW THERE ANS WILL CUT THEM FOR YOU. DONT TRIL TO TILE AROUNDF THE TOILET. IT WILL LOOK LIKE CRAP. **** THE WATER VALVE OFF BEHIND THE TOILET.LIFT THE TOILET OUT AND SET IT IN THE BATHTUB ON A OLD BLANKET THAT U DONT WANT. TILE UNDER THE TOILET AND GET CLOSE TO THE FLANGE AS U CAN..U MAY HAVE TO RAISE THE FLANGE TO THE HEIGHT OF THE NEW TILE FLOOR. CHANCES ARE YOU WONT. JUST MAKE SURE THE FLANGE ISNT BELOW THE NEW TILE HEIGHT. THIS SOUNDS REALLY HARD, BUT IT REALLY ISN'T. JUST TAKES TIME. GOOD LUCK
