Try to find out if they have a registry. That sounds so specific. Even if they don't have a registry, if you ask around to others that will be attending surely someone knows of what they need.

Q:i just bought a new house in alberta. they just did the lawn, shrubs and planted a tree. now they are telling me i need to contact a person to come inspect it to make sure it was done properly before they give me my deposit for letting them garden my yard. i forget the proper name for the job tittle the surveyor has so i dont know who to call :'( please help.
umm, the best i can come up with is either: Home inspector OR Professional Landscaper Hope that helps! lol However i don't quite understand why they would give you your deposit for letting someone landscape your yard, i have really never heard of that...
Q:We are building a new home and are acting as our own contractors. We are having cabinets, granite, wood floors and tile brought in from other stores but need faucets, sinks, toilets ect.. Home Depot used to do a 10% discount card but neither them nor Lowes does this anymore. Anybody have any ideas as far as where to go to get alot of things where they might give a dicount? How is Home Deot and Lowes quality?
I would call a plumbing supplier. Tell them you want to buy all of your fixtures and ask if they will give you a discount on buying everything for your house from them. Also, quality of fixtures is not found in the store but in the brand. Koeler is your top of the line stuff, but it is expensive! Moen is standard for faucets and has a life time guarantee. Peerless is also a good name for faucets and American Standard is a good name for your ceramic fixtures.
Q:I live in the NE USA. I have an apartment porch with another porch on top of it, so I get sun in the afternoon, into early evening. I have to have a garden on the porch because any indoor plants will get eaten by the cats. I'd like to be able to plant some seeds in planters (either the long ones or in pots) and keep them on the porch to bloom and grow. I'm not sure what kind of plants would grow well in my area and under those conditions. Anything that can be planted, kept outdoors in the winter and grow back in the spring/summer would be awesome as well (perennials).I'm looking for as much help as possible. What kind of plants would work well, when I'd need to plant them, which kind of planter, how often to water and if I can leave them outside in the fall/winter and have them grow back on me.Thank you so much!
herbs and green onions would be great...they grow relatively quickly and can be both useful and beautiful...some herbs even flower =) many popular herbs generally crave full sun, but can grow in partial full sun...mine are as far as houseplants...you may want to give your cats a treat...plant catnip! it is pretty, green and cats LOVE it =) as far as flowers, you may want to check your local home and garden store for the most appropriate plants for your area...i'm in louisiana, so i'd probably be wrong on that one
Q:Hi,I saw a tv show that had a segment featuring a website that allows allows trades people to bid on jobs that needs to be done around the house through an auction. eg gardening, building a fence etc. Does anyone know what this website is? This is a question of the Australia based community.THANKS!!!!
Look for what are called CO-Ops....
Q:i have lots of horse **** that i went and pick up at the horse farm i was wondering and start to used around my garden is it okay to used the horse **** as for ferterlizer for the flower all flowers cactus, fruits and so
Not until it is composted for a long time and then you may still have oat seeds and other seeds that will germinate and cause a headache if you know what I mean
Q:My aunt made these a while back and I asked her for the recipe.. She said it was in the Better Home Gardens cookbook. I thought I had this cookbook but it must have gotten lost when I moved. Does anyone have a copy of this recipe? Thanks!
Here it is: Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar plus additional for sprinkling 1 large egg 2 tablespoons finely grated peeled fresh gingerroot 2 tablespoons dark corn syrup 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice 3 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 1 tablespoon ground ginger In a bowl with an electric mixer beat butter with 1 1/2 cups sugar until light and fluffy and add egg, beating until combined well. Beat in fresh gingerroot, corn syrup, zest, and orange juice. Into mixture sift remaining ingredients and beat just until combined well. Halve dough and on a sheet of wax paper form each piece into a 10-inch log. Chill logs, wrapped in wax paper, at least 1 day and up to 1 week. Preheat oven to 350°F. and lightly grease baking sheets. Cut logs into 1/4-inch-thick slices and arrange 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Lightly sprinkle cookies with additional sugar and bake in batches in middle of oven 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden. Transfer cookies to racks to cool. Makes about 80 cookies.
Q:How can you grow a home garden in a drought?
Most people do not realize that you can garden with little water. I read this great article and it opened my eyes to all the things that could be done. I hope this helps you with your garden.
