- Q:Oke this sounds kinda dumb but i was wondering..IF i had a space suit which would make me able to ''fly'' just a few cm above jupiter, and i wouldnt fall in it. if i had a vacuum cleaner with me, HOW fast would it need to go to suck up some air of jupiter?ik gravity is terribly strong but still.. with the right speed it can be escaped right ?
- Vacuum cleaners don't suck up air. Vacuum cleaners move a stream of gas through a filter. What you want is a gas compressor of some kind. There are compressor designs for widely differing gas pressures, and there is one for the conditions you may find above Jupiter at your unspecified altitude.
- Q:I AM GETTING FED-UP! (how often do we hear ourselves yelling this mantra when that Life-long warrantee on the oven means quot;the life of the Productquot;?)I am feverishly shopping to replace the DYSON(r) vacuum cleaner that I bought and used only a few times. - Is this common for Dyson (stand-up) vacuum cleaners to clog-up the air chamber commonly with the dust, debris and whever-else I clean from my carpet?Does the Dyson vacuum technology surpass its predecesor (bags)? - If so, how / which debris SHOULD I clean with this unit so it will work without my having to totally-disassemble the entire unit to wash it out so it will work?
- I have been happy with Kenmore (Sears) canister vacuums, having bought two of them over the last 33 years. Fairly easy to get replacement parts for them.
- Q:I bought one and I have to wear earplugs to use it. It doesn't work all that well, either, just good enough. I'm thinking of taking it back. Any suggestions for a good stick vacuum? My case on my Hoover was cracked really badly (where it meets the handle) - that's why I bought the Shark.
- Don't go back to Hoover - eventhough they're good vacuums - becuase they can be just as loud....depending on the model, I guess. I hope you have better luck in finding a better one; I'm still searching for something that rids of dirt, not my eardrums.
- Q:I can't find any info on this. They all seem to be scams!!! Yes the HEPA filter would work, but when the seal isn't air tight, things get through... This is important, I got asbestos to clean up and theres no info anywhere on this.

- Q:...brooms have been replaced by vacuum cleaners??Is it that difficult to ride on a vacuum cleaner ?
- ...um...one pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small... Where's the rose ? ....and, beware of flying vacuum cleaners...it's the dangling cords that getcha every time...witches are in disguise nowadays...but their vacuums are a dead givaway
- Q:I hate vacuum cleaners and my dad vacuums all of the time. Does anybody know of a silent vacuum cleaner?
- Only a central, whole house vacuum could come close to silence and then only if the fan/motor part was in the garage, outside or very deep in the basement. Vacuums work by turning a rather high speed fan and they are quite noisy. So, you would need to isolate that noise somewhere outside the living area to have a nearly silent system. Even then, moving air makes noise so... Bert.
- Q:Why do diesel locomotives sound like loud vacuum cleaners when they are running power. Does it have to do with gas combustion?
- They're noisy because they're huge machines that have no reason to be built to be quiet.
- Q:Hi everyone, I will be buying a new vacuum cleaner soon and would like some recommendations/ testimonials from regular users of vacuums as to which ones you all feel is/are the best. It needs to be one that is good for picking up pet hair, and doing a 3 bedroom house top to bottom, (so will be on for a good while when in use), also the cost needs to be under ?200. many thanks.
- I take it if you're going to pay for your vaccuum in Pounds, then you must be posting from England or the UK? I live in the U.S., and I've owned a lot of different brands of vacuums over the years. Kirby, Electrolux, Hoover, can't think of all the brands. They all seem to give only a couple of years of service, and then they fail. And vacuum cleaner repair places are becoming as rare as Hollywood starlets who wear underwear. After my last 2 vacuums failed within a week of each other, I just went out to Walmart and bought a $45 Bissell. It's a cheap vacuum, but it actually cleans quite well. It picks up everything I need it to. And, it can be serviced by the user: there's a filter under the collection canister that clogs up with dust and grime. But you can lift out the filter, wash it out in a sink, and put it back in, and the vacuum has suction like new again. I figure it'll give me several years of service, possibly more. So far it's holding up very nicely. And when it fails for the last time, I'll just pitch it and go buy another just like it. No more expensive vacuums for me.
- Q:Okay its the commercial where the women are using these vacuum cleaners and when they are vacuuming its sqeaking. It sounds like a bunch of dog toys. I know this is confusing! I just want to know what brand and vacuum they are advertising for!
- dyson
- Q:What are the best vacuum cleaners on the market today? I've heard good things about the Dyson, how bout you?
- Yes. The Dyson is a good model. So to is the new Electrolux with the no-bag space for dust. Plus the filters that clean themselves. I think this model is a bit cheaper than the Dyson. We have 4 dogs, and our house can get really hairy at moulting time. We have had about 3 Vacuums so far. The Dyson is a bit pricy for us. The best Vacuum we have has been the cheapest. A Sanyo- $120NZ from the warehouse.Has a removable dust bag. That's the problem with many Vacuums. The paper bags are so expensive. But so long as it sucks well, it's a personal choice. Good Luck!
