Q: I am looking to become a real estate agent through college. How much does it usually cost ( ie. start-up costs, marketing, etc.)? Do the Agencies make the real estate agents pay for office space and is it possible to work from home? How much do the Agencies charge to use their name( ie. like remax, metro, etc.)?Do the Agencies provide any leads for the Agent?Any other advice would be much appreciated,Thank You so much

Q: I'm trying to scope out the local (Austin, TX) real estate market. I'm not ready to commit to speaking with a realtor yet. What's the best way to find the most recent homes listed for sale?
The okorder .
Q: what questions I should ask a real estate agent when we meet to discuss my housing options
You should ask them to tell you if they are able to answer questions for you. For example, some real estate agents can only go to houses with you and smile and nod politely. Other real estate agents can give you their opinion on what they think about the house versus the asking price, how much repairs might cost, what do they think of the neighborhood, would they buy this house, etc. I know I personally enjoyed having a real estate agent I could talk to about the house like they were a 3rd person helping me find a home instead of someone just tagging along for the ride. You do want to ask them how long they have been working, what their background is, and possibly even for some references. You want to make sure you feel comfortable with this person and not like they are a yes man who will not be of any help. You want the best team possible for the purchase of this home.
Q: I'm about to get my real estate license in ohio, but I am a little scared because of the market, what are some other things I can do with my real estate license (job wise) that pays hourly that I can do untill the market picks up??? (is it worthless to employers not in real estate?
The services of a buyer's agent are often at no cost to the buyer. The real estate agent agreement defines the compensation terms. The agreement should clearlyspell out who is compensating the buyer's agent. As a buyer, seek agreements which state compensation will be paid by the seller only. Under these circumstances, the real estate agent will serve you at no cost to you. The seller's agent (firm) is glad to compensate the buyer's agent. After all, the buyer's agent was largely responsible for the sale. Learn more about real estate agent opportunities with Proclient today!
Q: I am a stay at home mom and I would really like to do a something to earn some extra cash. I am pretty interested in real estate and would like to get my license. I know it's not the best market for that right now but I'm not doing it for a living, I'm doing it for a little something extra. What is the process? What are some good affordable online classes I can take to do this that will help me step by step in accomplishing this?
There are no good online Real Estate Schools. Most of the Real Estate Agents that I have met are not competent to represent Clients because they are very poorly trained. I have been investing in Real Estate for over 40 years. I never use Real Estate Agents because they are incompetent. I do hire Real Estate Appraisers who are Members of The Appraisal Institute to advise me on Fair MArket Value of property because Appraisers who have achieved the MAI designation (Member of The Appraisal Institute) are competent. If you are serious about Real Estate, I recommend that you start your training with The Appraisal Institute. The Appraisal Institute has an excellent training program. Even if you do not want to be a Real Estate Appraiser, you need to be competent to estimate the Fair MArket Value of Real Estate if you are going to do a competent job of representing clients. I recommend that you do a Google search for The Appraisal Institute and contact them. Get information about their training program. Once you have completed the training program then get some experience working for a Real Estate Appraiser who is a Member of the Appraisal Institute. Once you have that experience, then you will be ready to get your Real Estate License and begin representing clients.
Q: i am programmer and i want to develop a software for real estate agent. this would be for uk and australia clients. Can anyone send me a links for guidlines to develop this kind of system?
There are hundreds of software companies that try and sell products to us every year. This better do something great and be very easy to learn and use- and not cost much.
Q: Ive recently got my real estate license, now i dont know what to do? I know that I need to place my license with a broker, im just pondereing how im going to get my name out there, to get everything moving.
The first you need to do is pay your Real Estate fees and find a Broker because your not actually a Realtor until you've done both. When you begin to check out Brokers remember you're interviewing them (not the other way) and you want to look for someone who has time to train you and teach you the Real Estate in's and outs. You also want someone who offers great commission splits. Good luck and congratulations! Real Estate is great industry to be in.
Q: I am having trouble finding real estate investors to add to my buyer's list for wholesale deals I am working on. I have attended meetings of my local real estate investment club but we are lucky if five people show up. I have tried classified ads in the newspaper and on craigslist, all without responses. I have contacted we buy houses ads. I suspect I have had no luck with this method because they might consider me as their competition.I stay away from bandit signs because of strict code enforcement in my area. I have telephoned professional contractors in my area but none have returned my calls. What am I doing wrong or what else can I try?
Classified ads in newspapers generally are worthless for finding investors, or for most other purposes. CraigsList often is good, but have you tried ALL the different categories? Real Estate Services? Financial Services? Housing Wanted? Real Estate for Sale? And have you done it regularly and consistently? The We Buy Houses ads are good. While in some cases you might be competition, more likely it's just that the people aren't very good at following up. Even where I am (Northern Virginia--one real estate club meeting I go to attracts about 150 people a month), if you call 10 We Buy Houses ads or bandit signs, you'll be lucky to get two or three callbacks. Bandit Signs: They're not for everyone. But call any numbers you see on the bandit signs. They're looking for other sources of houses. Professional Contractors: I haven't found that too useful. The smaller scale operators--the handymen, and specific repair people--are more open to that. Try hard money lenders. They certainly deal with investors, and would know who they are. And the hard money lenders would love to have you feeding deals to investors who, in turn, would borrow the money from hard money lenders. Try Realtors. Some will view you as competition. But your pitch should be: I'll find properties for your investor clients. Then, when the property's fixed up and ready to sell, your investor clients will use you to sell the properties. Hope that helps.
Q: would like any advice on starting a real estate investment company in Milwaukee, Wi.
yes. they are not making any more land so buy all you can!! even the farm lands are being over developed and it is not the ex farmer getting rich!!
Q: to become a real estate sales agent do they have to own properties. like what do they work as ? and how can i become one in the future. Im 17 yrs old ! please give me as much as infromation possible. Thank You
You do have to take a real estate course and pass a state licensing exam. Then you find a broker to work for. As a real estate agent you will list properties for sale and you will show properties to potential buyers. As a Realtor you have to belong to the Board of Realtors and usually the MLS. So, be advised that there are fees involved in becoming a Realtor. First, you have to pay to take the real estate classes, then you pay to take the real estate exam, then you pay to join the Board of Realtors and MLS. Also, you will split your commission with the broker or pay a monthly fee to the broker. Then you have to take continuing education each year and renew your license each year. The Board of Realtor fees and MLS fees are also yearly fees. Depending on where you live, you might do really well as a Realtor or you might not. It is not an easy job. You have to get out there and work it. Most people don't succeed in real estate working it part time. If you want to do this as a career then you have to put forth a lot of effort, like calling people who have their houses for sale by owner and try to convince them to list it with you, calling people whose listings have expired and try to get them to list with you, calling potential buyers, contacting people you know to see who they know who is looking to buy or sell, etc. There's also quite a bit of paperwork involved. There's paperwork for when you list a house and paperwork for when you sell a house. You also attend the closing at the lawyer's office with your clients. Real estate is not a Mon - Fri 9-5 job. You have to be available evenings and weekends or whenever is convenient for your clients.
