- Q: Is it a law for a real estate agent to tell a consumer about abnormal activity (whether it's witnessed themselves or by the previous owners) within the house? If so, is it the same law or code throughout the U.S. or does it only apply to certain states?
- Nope, they don't have to tell you about any abnormal activity. Someone could have been shot in the living room and they do not to disclose this to you.
- Q: Im thinking about becoming a real estate agent but Im not entirely sure what they actually do. Can someone decscribe a working day as a real estate agent
- They pretend to be tour guides when they show a house............they're basically a salesperson for houses
- Q: In other words, not the traditional way that real estate is transacted.
- A real estate agent finds you a house or property and finds a buyer for you. A real estate investor will find a house or property that they want to buy to rent out or turn around and sell for a profit. Difference, real estate agent has no interest in the property itself, just the seller and buyer...the investor has interest in the property...makes sense?
- Q: I have been considering the military for some time now, and I have focused on going into the Navy. Now my dad seeing as though going into the military is a waste of time and I won't be making that much when I start out. The last part is true since I looked at the pay grades, they're like from $1426 to $2637.Now my dad has been trying to get me out of going into the military and says Real Estate makes more that what military offers by a substantial rate. I don't believe that, but I would like to get an answer from both sides to see which is right. I want to go into the military, but I also like making more money (hell everyone does). So please help me and thanks for taking the time to actually read this!
- I was guna say to forget about real estate but then i saw you werent in America and your economy isnt geting raped. The military will give you the experience of a lifetime. You wont be sent to a desert to fight barbarians, youll travel the world and have great stories to tell in the future. Dont jump right into real estate because once you start your job your stuck in the system till you retire.
- Q: is a life insurance product falls under category of a real estate property, please guide.
- It is personal property, an asset not Real Property.
- Q: i don't want to give up the job i have..i wanted to do real estate part time to have some extra money..is that a good idea?
- Real Estate is a great opportunity! I do Real Estate, Mortgages, Investing, and 5 home based businesses! If I can suggest a couple of opportunity's below I think are on a better up turn at this point of time! The Real Estate market is in a slight down turn! I would also suggest before spending all that time to get your license. spend a couple of weeks with a professional and do there job for them for free,.. it will give you the opportunity to see if you would like it before you spend time and money!
- Q: Ok so right now I'm 16 and i have an interest in real estate and also in a side job. I'm going to be attending college in a couple years to get some minor degrees such as building, business, mechanical, and drafting. And i was wondering if being a real estate agent would be appropriate for me right now. I know now's not the best time to sell. But if i sell one (1) small property, that would pay as much as i get in a year at my little call in part time job. I also am friends with many of the Realtors around the local area, so i know that would help. So my question is, would this be a suitable job for someone like me? Is there an age requirement? Does it take more the two semesters to get your license? And is this a full-time, hands-on, type job? Thanks!
- I must congratulate you on your strong initiative and desire to work, make money and add value to the economy!! There were already some good answers here for you, especially 'loanmaster's' comment. It's probably the case that you would need to be 'of age' to get a real estate license anyway. It sounds like earning money is the part of the equation that would best help you at this point and it sounds like knowing how to do that would be the thing that really makes a difference for you. There are ways to make in anything (real estate included) by intimately knowing the details of the market and business practices. It's never too early to begin learning those things. One thing that would be good for you to do is to figure out some type of product that you could sell to others so that you're, in effect, working for yourself while you're going to school and building continuing your education. Also, read, read, read! There are tons of books on real estate, investing and sales. One great book that I read when I was your age that has contributed to my success is THINK and GROW RICH by Napoleon Hill. Keep looking, searching and researching! Best Wishes, EricJ
- Q: is it good time to be into real estate? is it bad now and if so when do you guys think it will be come better? i am currently a freshman in junior college and really like real estate. i plan to relocate to los angeles, california. is real estate good there in california?
- It is a horrible time to get into Real Estate now, as the market is crashing in America. That being said, I would expect(and don't hold your breath for this as I'm for from an economist) that the government change will assist the economy to turn around, as well as all the interest rises, et cetera. Essentially, you should be fine by the time you get in the market. My biggest advise though, would be to take note of this: You don't need to study real estate to get into real estate - it's sales, or the entry roles are sales anyways, and if you're good at your job you'll climb up the corporate ladder very quickly. You simply need to charismatic and influential (could you persuade one of your friends that blue is the very best color int he world? Are you good at debates?). For example, if you were to do a degree in business, you could follow that career path if you decided that you enjoyed it, or if the market is still average. At any time though, you can go into real estate....just know that if you move at a later stage, you may have to take a pay cut and start back at the bottom! Best of luck!
- Q: I would like to start a real estate company in Virginia with two other people. Only one of us will be a licesed realtor. Is that OK? Are there any resources out there than can help me plan this company? Thanks!
- Depends on what type of Real Estate you plan on doing. Will you manage apartment complexes, will you manage retail properties, or commercial, will you be selling homes? If you are selling homes, one of you needs to be a broker, a Realtor only holds a real estate sales associates license someone needs to be a Broker who handles and oversees other sales people. To be on the safeside one of you should have your brokers license, being that only one holds a license then as long as they have been licensed for two years then they can get a Brokers license. Requirements to sit for the Brokers exam is that you must have held a sales associates license for no less than 2 years.
- Q: So I have to do a paper on a job that I would have interest in pursuing after graduation and if you could answer my questions, that would be great! Education requirements?Skills needed?
