- Q: For the past 6 months or so, my cat has been peeing and pooping on my throw rug (which, just so you know, was an expensive rug from Crate Barrel which I love). My rug is stained from cat pee, and I just had it cleaned deodorized this past weekend in the hopes that she would stop using it as a litter box. I used to think that she did it out of spite, but I can't figure out why she'd be mad at me or my live-in boyfriend (who she belongs to, but we've been living together for about a year and dating for a year and a half, so she knows me well and is very loving towards me). I don't know how to get her to stop using my rug as a toilet. Any suggestions? And, putting her to sleep is not a suggestion. We love her. But, if she doesn't stop pooping and peeing on my rug I don't know what II'll do!
- I hope it's not wall to wall, because I think you'll need to remove it and I know it sounds crazy but put the litter box where the rug was. It might smell another animal on it and is being territorial. If you can't pull the rug, wash it a best you can and pour vinegar on the areas the cat pees on and put the litter bos there. It must be smelling another animal on the rug, sometimes even if you visit someone elses house and then go home and walked on that carpet you could have left the scent of another animal. Good luck and the reason I said use vinegare is the acid usually will get the smell out. Good luck, and never forget a cat will give you much more joy than a rug.
- Q: How to best remove the greasy dirt on the carpet?
- Firstly, try to use cleaning agent firstly, use a brush to brush. If it not works, you only can use thinner to clean it. There are two things on the carpet can not be cleaned down: the coke and tea stain. It's easy to clean if it is greasy dirt.
- Q: My sister just spilled half a bottle of coke on our rug, does anyone have advice on how to clean it?thanks

- Q: I need to use the carpet cleaner machine, but do not want to purchase the solution. Does anyone know of a home solution that I can use with the many, many cleaning supplies I have in my home?

- Q: I'm taking on a rescue horse that my friend rescued. He has rainscald and I was wondering when turning him out should I put a rug on him? Because there so many diffrent answers also can you put louse powder on them? Also he ginger and I need a name really want it to be unqui :) thanks
- ugh rainrot as i call it sucks:( My horse got it really bad one time, i agree with the below answer i would not put a rug or blanket over him the scabs need to dry out and get air to them a rug would just keep in all the mositure in. There are types of shampoo and cleaning supplies that are ment for that. While he has the rainscald i would highly recommend keeping him in a stall or barn if it is raining out, water getting to it will only make it worse. If it is a nice sunny day let him out so the sun can get to it and dry it out, once the scabs are dried out you can try brushing him to see if any loose ones will fall off, it will just take some time and attention before they all go away. best of luck!
- Q: is there any good solution to the lots of dust on the carpet?
- not use the carpet will solve the problem.
- Q: I have a rug that is handwoven from India. I am finding it hard to keep free of debri. When I used a vaccum little fuzzy things came up on a few spots of the rug. Any other ideas?
- Handwoven rugs are not meant to be vacuumed as they are very delicate, vacuuming only tears up the fibers and eventually they will break down and the rug will just fall apart it is always best just to shake out the rug outside this is the best way to clean Good Luck !
- Q: Looking for an exposé kind of guide for buying carpets both online and at lifestyle stores. Websites should be helpful. Thanks.
- Carpet Buying Secrets by Laura Adams (also known as Insider Secrets to Buying Floor Covering) -- It's the best carpet buying guide I know and also the most current on tips and trends. I work as an Interior Designer, so buying carpets 'smartly' is part of my job. The reason I like this guide is because - (1) It addresses safe buying practices for both professionals and home owners, and (2) It tells you some little-known secrets about buying carpets that the store salesman might just forget to tell.. or may not want you to know about.

Tell the installer your problem, He will come out, if there is not any extra carpet , he will usually take a piece from a closet, Using this patch and a carpet seaming iron, and carpet tape he can fix the spot
