- Q: A piece of paper caught on fire, fell on the carpet, I put the fire out and it burned the carpet and the paper melted into the carpet. - I had some hot coals fall out of a fireplace and onto the carpet. Vacuumed and got the stuff like you did. Then I got a really sharp pair of scissors and cut out the melted part that was discolored. Was very careful and it looked pretty good when I got done. Bleach will not work on melted plastic. You may also need to pick out the nape a bit to make the surface appear like the original carpet. The other thing I have heard of being done is to take a piece of carpet from a spot where it will not be seen and cut the exact same piece from the damaged spot. Use a little glue and swap the two pieces. The key to these is taking your time and being careful.
- Q: I have carpeting that I just got in December of 07 and in a rush yesterday, left my hair straightener turned on setting on my carpet! If you're selling the house, go with a neutral color that appeals to many buyers and goes with many wall colors they might select.

- No you can t put wall to wall carpet and have it not effect the lower carpet because on the installation needed. But small area rugs and larger rugs can be used and then taken with you as you move. - i wish your mom saved slightly the extra effective carpet so it is patched in view that she has bleached- no longer stained the colour. you would be able to ought to remodel or get a rug. maximum carpet is nylon and is stressful to dye back.
