Q:I will be using prepaded laminate flooring on top of a concrete slab. Do I need to use an adhesive ? How does the floor stay down ?
is it a rolled sheet laminate floor? if so then yes u will need an adhesive to told it down...the direction on the glue will tell u what size V shaped notched trowel to use...must of the time you'll need a 1/8 trowel.....roll back the flooring half way and apply the glue to the floor....fold back over glue and press into place....u can rent a 100 lb. roller for this which help it stick to the floor and squeezes all the air out from underneath ...repeat for the other half of flooring....if no roller then press the floor into place with a soft towel
Q:then sea floor spreading into theory of plate tectonics
right here... i guess this might stump u... if we developed from monkeys... why do little ones come out like people... not monkeys... or why are there nevertheless monkeys... and the only resemblance is the palms and ft ( even there theirs are plenty hairier)
Q:ok my living room is about 20x20i removed the carpet now it's just sub wood floori want to use cement + polyfiber or whatever you call it and sand and really fine crushed rocks as my floor, no wiremash reforcement, and in one big piece, no breaks in the middle or anywhere, do you think it'll work?will i get cracks because it's one piece instead of many smaller piece? will it crack because i'm cheaping out on not buying wiremash screen?
I seriously doubt that your floor joists are sized to accommodate the weight of a concrete floor. I'd look for an alternative.
Q:How many square of a box of wood flooring
World friends 1.845 square meters per box, the statue of 2.25 square meters per box
Q:The kind of water used in the hospital is that it can be washed with water, and it is very thin and very light. The surface is made of stone.
Hospital floor product structure: PVC floor. PVC flooring is a very popular in the world today, a new type of lightweight ground decoration materials, also known as "light body material." "PVC floor" refers to the use of PVC material produced by the floor. Specifically, polyvinyl chloride and its copolymer resin as the main raw material, adding filler, plasticizer, stabilizer, coloring agent and other accessories, in the continuous sheet on the substrate, the coating process or by rolling, extrusion or extrusion Craft production. The main use of the place: the education system (including schools, training centers, kindergartens, etc.) medical systems (including hospitals, laboratories, pharmaceutical plants, nursing homes, etc.) business systems (including shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, entertainment and leisure center, (Factory, building, etc.) Industrial systems (factory buildings, warehouses, etc.) Transportation systems (airports, railway stations, bus stations, docks, etc.) Home system (family, Indoor living room, bedroom, kitchen, balcony, study, etc.)
Q:What is the material used to exercise the floor?
Sports flooring is the choice of PVC plant a single factory toilet cleaning 丿 dressing coupons open materials specially developed for the sports venues of a floor. With the improvement of people's quality of life, the requirements of the floor is getting higher and higher, and sports floor is the pursuit of high-quality flooring, so buy the appropriate sports floor is very important.
Q:does anyone know how to stain concrete floors and what products are needed? I am going to remove the carpet from living room, hall way and bedrooms, and I was planning to tile, but that's not in my budget anytime soon, but i'm fed up with the carpet...ideas, suggestions?
So, you're looking for some hard work, huh? Tear up all of the tile and remove all of the adhesive. Now if this is ceramic tile, you'll really have fun removing all of that thinset mortar. If it's vinyl, it'll still be plenty of hard work with floor scrapers/grinders. All the old adhesive has to come up -- all of it! Then you'll have to start with the staining and polishing process, which costs $3 per foot on a new construction job in Texas. Smaller jobs cost a whole lot more. Good luck!
Q:My church recently had our concrete floors stained and then sealed with 2 coats of urethane..I have tried cleaning and buffing with a neutral PH floor cleaner which left a film on the floor. I have a couple questions since I am in charge of caring for the floor1. How do I keep the floor clean and shiney without leaving water marks or soap film on the floor?2.How do I buff and shine the floor?3.How do I remove the scratches and scuff marks from the floor?
A floor machine is the best answer to all of those issues. You see people in hospitals and stores use them. They basically have a spinning head that you can put a pad under so that the spinning motion will clean the floor. You can use regular mop water with these, and the pads come in varieties from soft, polishing pads to rough, Brillo-style pads for serious cleaning. If you don't want to invest in a floor machine, a mop and some stiff brushes are your best bet for cleaning, and an automotive buffer (with a polisher) for polishing. To save even more money, you could make an enzyme cleaner for practically nothing. These clean well and even give your floor a shine. I'll post a link to how to make these as my second source.
Q:I just got my floors replace and I need a good product to clean them. Something that works, easy to use and not too pricey.
A new laminate floor should only need to be damp mopped with water. A bit of vinegar will keep it from streaking if you have hard water. If you have a nasty spill, use some mild cleaner & rinse well with water and vinegar.
Q:I desperately need to fix my oak floors.
You also may have to trim down the doors a bit if you raise the level of the floor too much.) Your oak floor actually looks great and just needs to be refinished. The wood looks nice and tight (no gaps or visible defects) and has a nice grain pattern. Have you considered just refinishing the floor? It would involve sanding the floor down to bare wood and applying a new finish. I would cost next to nothing compared to installing a new cherry floor (though I also really like the look of the brazilian cherry; for some reason the HGTV link you posted didn't work, I just did a search for Brazilian Cherry on HGTV and found the Classic Tuscan Kitchen episode). Sanding a floor is messy work and can be a bit tricky if you use a drum sander. A drum sander can oversand a floor quite quickly but works great in the hands of a pro. You also need to cover everything as wood dust will get everywhere. There are other types of sanders you can rent (I've used a 4 disc sander to refinish a floor) that are not as aggressive as a drum sander but they do take longer to sand. Even hiring a pro to sand and refinish the floor would most likely be much less expensive than buying new wood. But if you have the coin and are set on switching to cherry you can certainly install a new floor over the old floor provided the old floor is in sound condition (not loose and warped).
