- Q: Three-tier parquet and multi-layer parquet What is the difference
- Three-story solid wood, relatively close to the solid wood flooring, foot feeling and the price difference is not much stability slightly improved, can be seen as pure solid wood flooring improved products; multi-layer solid wood is relatively pure wood composite floor, foot Pure solid wood slightly down, but in exchange for the high stability and low price, but also can do geothermal floor. So it has become Europe and the United States and other developed countries, ordinary residents of the first home pendant products! Is the absolute mainstream of the international market!
- Q: I am considering buying a home Illinois. Unfortunately my price range is small; however there is a home my girlfriend and I love. The floors are slanted because the foundation has sunk because it’s a 100 or more year old home. Is there a way to fix the floors by adding more plywood or something to the lower part of the floor?
- Just from the experience of selling a rental property with settling, or slanted floors, I was told the man was going to brace the existing floor and then go over the area with an entirely new floor. He said trying to move the floor upward could cause problems with the existing walls. I would talk to one or more contractor to get an idea of what your individual situation might be. If it is normal settling, it's one thing, but I knew somone that bought a house that had been on a really old area of land fill, which should have been settled long before, and they ended up with slanted floors. They sold the house because that was a real mess.
- Q: Over time I have noticed what appears to be my bathroom tiles moving out of place, as if the floor is slowing caving in. I do have an older house and there has been water leakage from the bathtub into the kitchen that has since been fixed. My question is what kind of professional do I call to take some look at my bathroom floor/kitchen ceiling for repair?
- You will most likely need to pull up the old tile, float the floor level with thinset, and then lay down 3/8 inch concrete tile backer board. This will fix it and hold up for another 75 years. Without the tile backer, water will continue to get through the grout cracks and warp the original wood floor. You can then lay Linoleum or new tile on the floor and calk it up good. They sell the toilet flange adapter rings to make up for the new floor backer board. Hopefully you have a claw foot tub, then it's easy to strip the floor and re-due it. Add; if the house is old and built out of old growth Fir, the black mold won't grow on it so it's usually structurally fine. The issue you have is with the floor boards, there will always be enough left on the old Fir joists to sister up some new joist runners with lag bolts if there is a rotten area to level up.
- Q: I have old hardwood floors throughout most of my apartment. I have been using Murphy's Wood soap, and the floors feel clean to the touch, but there's always black on the bottom of our socks and the floor look murky, like there's a gray film over them. I have small kids so I want to try to avoid anything too harsh, but I'm getting sick of these floors. I wash them at least three times a week and they still look dirty. Any ideas?
- I wish I could see it but since I can't. Do you wear shoes in the house? If you have a lot of people traffic you may want to go to a no shoes rule. Get a good doormat. Mopping is sometimes not abrasive enough but if it feels clean maybe that is not the answer. Bleach the kids socks or soak them in Oxyclean. I love Murphy's oil soap it's good stuff. Start looking around for attractive rubber backed throw rugs. If the floors don't look good cover 'em up. Kohls and Marshalls are good places to look.
- Q: i live in canada and really like tatami. only one problem. are they like mats, or soft flooring, or hard flooring. basically is tatami flooring or just mats?? thanks!
- it's recommended that you also do not wear shoes on this flooring as it wears down the tatami mats quickly. Hope this helps!
- Q: Anyone know what to use when pergo floor loses it's shine
- Don't ever use mop and go type cleaners on your laminate floor. They build up a dull residue with time. Don't use any wax on your floor -- this doesn't work for Laminate. Pergo makes a spray cleaner (hard surface cleaner) that is perfect for cleaning your floor. Mohawk and Armstrong also make comparable products. I have also had a lot of success with an Orange-Glow product in a spray bottle that I get at Target. DO NOT USE the resurfacer in this line -- it is only good for hardwood floors. The cleaner is perfect and comes with a special mop that shines the laminate really nicely.
- Q: I am putting floating laminate floors in my kitchen. Do I run them under the cabinet toe kicks or up to the and then run a bead of caulk?
- Most laminate floor manufacturers advise a 10mm clearance from all vertical surfaces. Fit beading, sometimes called scotias to cover the gap. Glueing the beading with contact adhesive to the vertical surface only, allows the flooring to expand or contract according to temperature and humidity variations. Failing to leave this clearance can cause buckling and creaking and uneven wear due to raised edges.
- Q: how to prove that floor(-x) = -ceiling(x) and that -floor(x) = ceiling(-x) show steps
- Let x= k+p where k is an integer and 0<=p<1 (obviously k is first integer less than x) floor(-x)=floor(-k-p) and since k or -k is an integer we can take it out of floor(or ceiling) floor(-x)=-k +floor(-p) floor(-p)=-1 when -1<-p<0 and floor(-p)=0 when p=0 -ceiling(x)=-ceiling(k+p)=-k - ceiling(p) ceiling(p)=1 when 0<p<1 and ceiling(p)=0 when p=0 then floor(-p)=-ceiling(p) thus we proved floor(-x)=-ceiling(x) ceiling(-x)=celing(-k-p)= -k + celing(-p) ceiling(-p)=0 when -1<-p<=0 -floor(x)=-floor(k+p)=-k - floor(p) -floor(p)=0 when 0<=p<1 then ceiling(-p)=-floor(p) thus we proved ceiling(-x)=-floor(x)
- Q: Dnf nothing in the environment how to run the floor -_- || own attack helpless can not remember the floor order, each time have to pay b -_- ||
- Very simple, now pao'ge'zi only three graphs, you can watch the picture run. Remember the first three on it!
- Q: for both ceiling and floor functions, how do you evaluate each for different values of x?also, is there a relationship between them?
- ceiling: Round up to nearest integer floor: Round down to nearest integer floor or ceiling of an integer simply gives the same integer you started out with. Examples: floor(4.5) = 4 ceil(4.5) = 5 floor(4) = 4 ceil(4) = 4 floor(4.1) = floor(4.9) = 4 ceil(4.1) = ceil(4.9) = 5 floor(x) <= ceil(x) where <= means less than or equal to For integers n, m with m 0: ceil(n/m) = floor((n+m-1)/m)
