Q: I was thinking a weekend trip to a nursery or something near springfield il or st louis but am not sure what greenhouses around here are good.
As she gardens in a yard she would probably appreciate a nice pot or some plants to grow in pots. They would have loads of ideas in any nursery for mothers day. You could get her a voucher to choose herself something or take here there. Just google it to find the good nurseries near you.
Q: We have a big garden, and we often have a few of the neighbours' cats wandering around in it at any one time. My kitten is 10 weeks old and he's had his shot for cat flu, but not for cat AIDS or leukaemia (gets those in a couple of weeks). Is he old enough to be introduced to the garden? And if so, would it be safer to wait until he's vaccinated against AIDS, or doesn't it matter- I can't see how a kitten could get AIDS, to be honest. The vet said there was a lot of cases in our area though. Also, my mum's worried that if we let him out in the garden, the older cats from the local neigbourhood might think he's invading their territory and attack him. Would they do that?I'd like him to be a mostly outdoor cat, as we have a lovely garden but a very small house (and he's trashing it :P) He's very strong and vivacious so I'm not worried about him being afraid of the grass or anything (like my dog is lol)Thanks for your help! :D
I think it should be fine, although it would probably be wise to go out there with him for the first while. Also, if you know the plants you have in your garden, to check online as to which ones might be poisonous to cats. If you're in the clear there, it should be fine with shots just a couple of weeks away, especially if you're hanging out with him there anyways. Hope that helps!
Q: i have a bill for homes and gardens and id like to pay it on line. how do i do that?
Go okorder and follow instructions for paying online. You will have to open an account with them.
Q: I am planning to get a home spa. Any tips about which one to buy?
Raji, go visit a Home Garden Show, which are plentiful in California and along the westcoast. There you find exhibits of so many spa dealers, that they literally fall over each other.
Q: can we use the water taken from the well to water the home garden..
It is better than city water, Providing there is no salt or arsenic. I would take a sample and have it analyzed to be safe. You have another alternative is to collect rain water, Just put a barrel under the down spout or eve trove and you cant get any better.
Q: My mom wants to make a vegetable garden/wild flower garden. We have a mediam sized front yard and our large backyard. Our backyard has barely any light. And our front yard is were our dogs go the bathroom. Can you please help us?! ~Thank You
Most bulbs are easy to grow. Generally, the early spring bulbs are planted in the fall, like daffodils, tulips and hyacinth. They need to spend the winter in the ground. When it warms up in the spring you can plant summer flowering bulbs like Asiatic lilies and gladiolus. Day lilies too, but they are not bulbs. Those are all very easy to grow and available everywhere. Read the packages for sun requirements and depth of planting. For spring color you can always plant pansies. They are very hardy and will survive a frost. When they become available in your area, you can put them right in the ground and they will continue to bloom until it gets hot.
Q: Like Better Homes and Gardens
Playboy and maximum others that i understand of basically censor the covers with cellophane, yet you'll tell what booklet it is. there will be an decision for discreet packaging for some, yet no longer that i understand of. i understand a few places (exceptionally toys and whatnot) are delivered and charged discreetly.
Q: for example plants, bugs, etc
I know common wisdom says pond=dragonflies, but I do not have a pond. I do have a bird bath which I try to have filled with water, but don't always. I do have LOTS of dragonflies, though. They seem to love to sit and warm themselves on the rocks I have 3 high delineating my perennial border. Big flattish rocks.
Q: I want to plant a garden in my new home! It will mainly be vegtable but I may have some other types of plants. I wanted to know if there are any plants that may be dangerous to my two yellow labs?
do not let them eat onion or grapes if you have it in the garden. everything else should be fine.
Q: Making fertilizer using home ingredients for a school project
compost, but DO NOT put meat products in the compost pile.
