Q: my favorite place is staying in my home garden. and you................
Well its my room always.. else if its a gud climate i wud sit in the balcony with all the windows open..
Q: My yard is sandy, and even struggles growing grass. However I am tired of the pure ugliness, I want to grow a garden, However with the poor growing conditions I need the name of flowers and plants that would grow easy, in sandy dirt, and less sunshine. Any names of plants and flowers.
I'm pretty sure that cati/cactus will grow in sandy areas and most of them bloom during the year. You can also try putting in a raised platform and putting dirt in it to grow a bigger assortment of flowers plants. If you live in a generally sandy area, you should be able to go to your local home garden center and ask them for recommendations. They always seem to know whats best for your area! Good Luck! P.S. Rock gardens are always an option as well. And they require very little maintenance.
Q: Mainly because the hamster lived her whole life in an aquarium (10 gallons with 2 other female syrians!) and because it gets really cold in my room because my mom turns the heat off for some reason at night! Anyway I know not everyone loves aquariums but She seems fine even with 2 other girls SO she must be thrilled in a 20 gallon +. Whats your opinion of these 2 cages? Is there another cage you would recommend? I do not want Habirtrai, Crittertrail, Or any cheap plastic ones.
Well the base may seem a little small but that's not the problem. That cage is a guinea pig cage, so the wire spacing is meant for guinea pigs, not for hamsters, even Syrian hamsters. A Syrian hamster would most likely be able to squeeze out of the space between the wires. I got a nice cage for my teddy bear hamster and I would give you the link but Petco took it off their website. It was blue and had 3 levels (wire cage) and was $40, not on sale. But a 20-gallon tank sounds great. They don't provide great ventilation, and it's hard to attach a water bottle, but other than that they are a popular choice for Syrians.
Q: Im 18 years old and i just moved out on my own. Im looking for a magazine that has, decorating tips, easy recipes, health tips, fashion and beauty. Q: i am looking for stuff for me and my fiance new apartmentsearsjcpennykholsikea...
jcpenny,Kohl's and ikea do not have a home and garden a garden is where they sell flowers
Q: Athiest, without the Bible's absolute authority, how do you decide which homes and gardens are better?
Dreamstuff, with the Bible's absolute authority, how do you decide which nations to utterly destroy, killing all men, women, children, and babies? (Numbers 31:1-18)
Q: Looking for a magazine that gives ideas for DIY improvements to increase the value of your house in various rooms
I always love better home and garden magazine. I got the subscription for the magazine two years ago when I planned to sell my house. Got couple of ideas for house reno spent 5K got back 18K when I sold my house. Very interesting articles I guess budgted house reno.
Q: How do u get rid of lizards & garden snakes outside your home? Pls help!?
The lizards don't worry me, I enjoy seeing them in the garden. I have only seen 2 snakes - both deadly, one slithered away and my hubby killed the other.
Q: cheapest, yet reliable and dependable,,,,,about one acre garden
Add salt solution to your water system and not to the garden. But they can be very expensive.
Q: I am a believer in providing my own food for myself, but i am worried that in the future the pollen of GMO's will contaminate the crops i am growing at home? Is this a possibility?
Yes, it is possible. In fact, there was a case a few years back where Monsanto was taking some farmers to court because their neighbors were growing GMO soy beans and Monsanto thought the others' soybeans may have been cross with their GMO soy beans. Since the farmers Monsanto took to court were saving seeds from their crop Monsanto claimed they were benefiting from their GMO work without paying for the benefit. In essence, the companies making GMO seeds can claim you owe them for using their product even if you did not know your crop had been crossed with their modified plants' pollen if you saved seeds to plant the following year. There are also some organic growers suing Monsanto for contaminating their organic and heirloom crops with GMO pollen as this would change their foods and seeds status, possibly (probably) making them unusable for their intended purpose. Personally, I hope they win and Monsanto has to pay such a large award they have to abandon their GMO projects entirely. Google 'Monsanto sues farmers' and read about the Canadian farmer they sued and the end result of the suit; it is very interesting. Good luck and enjoy!
