- Q:So healthy urine Track infection free cats.. who gets love attention, food water, 2 private litter boxes one self cleaning one standard. I have 4 cats, all spayed. I don't know what's wrong.. they don't pee anywhere but my living room mainly on my sofa when it's covered with plastic or fabric... otherwise under it or in the opposite corner. I don't know what's going on with them.. it's been months.. of a nearly daily occurance. Every morning and night they get cuddled and played with (they are only alone a few hours out of the day and that's not nessecarily when they pee.) don't know what else it can be. Any ideas would be great. I read stuff about Prozatc and l- lysin for cats.. Is this crazy? I love my cats but I can not live in thier little box.
- First of all, In my opinion, do not use a water spray bottle on your pet. It will only stress it out more as any physical discipline will. Second, cleaning the litter boxes daily may help. Cats like clean litterboxes. I prefer the scoopable litter. Makes cleaning much easier. Third, if your cat has already peed on your sofa, how did you get the scent out? Try using those enzyme cleaners which eat the odor causing bacteria, You do not want the cat returning to urinate or spray in the same place. It sounds like he is trying to communicate something. He is unhappy about something. Get a sisal rope scratching post sprinkled with catnip? This might get his mind off what is bothering him. Place a washable waterproof mattress cover with fitted sheet temporarily over your couch. The urine won't soak into your sofas fabric and you can wash out the accidents. Do you give your kitty attention for 10-15 minutes immediately when you come home from work or do you just ignore him? Try giving it more attention, toys, catnip, calm environment, and treats now and then. Maybe it is just seeking more attention. If he does pee on the sofa while you are home don't yell at it or punish it in any way. This will only create stress for him. Gently pick him up and place him in a just cleaned litter box and sroke his head afterwards. Reward his good behaviour when he does pee in the litter box with a treat, extra attention, or catnip and he may eventually learn that using the litter box is a positive experience. Also, I believe many things can upset animals, like household commotion, loud music or noises, harsh or toxic cleaning chemicals or room and carpet deodorizors. Do some more research online. there is a wealth of information out there and something will work. It just takes time, patience, compassion, and understanding. Good Luck.

- That is a classical Victorian Sofa (with a tufted back) tghey used to be made with horse hair; you will have to do some googling at some specialty sites as these aren't produced in abundance. YOu can find some antique ones as well.

Second to work with only a travel visa is illegal The SOFA is an agreement for the American forces stationed in Germany so unless your employer is the Army it does not help at all. No German can give you a job under SOFA you need a work visa and resident permit from Germany to get a job in Germany. If you are an American citizen you can within the first 60 days of your stay ask for the resident permit and work visa. If you decide later you need to leave Germany to ask for the visa.

- You Cannot dye a sofa. That'd be pretty awesome if you could though. The best option is getting a covering for it that you can buy to fit your sofa. Custom made- which can be costly, but looks fab!

- Hair spray. Try a small patch on a part of the sofa that won't be noticed prior, make sure that there is no discoloration, or damage to the material. If everything looks okay, spray a small amount on the effected area, let it sit for 10 minutes, wipe with a damp warm cloth the stain should start to fade, repeat until it is gone. Windex may also work (or any BLUE window cleaner) however there is a high likelihood that it will discolor. However if you find you have gotten ink on a non porous surface go ahead wit the Windex

- I second the first answer, IKEA is a great way to go, especially since a lot of their sofas are slipcovered so if you get sick of the orange sofa in two years instead of buying a brand new sofa you can go back to IKEA and buy a new slipcover in a different color.
