Q: My Vacbag keeps splitting when I use it, why does it keep doing that?

Your Vacbag may not be the one suited for your unit, as it will split if it is not the right size for the vacuum cleaner. The bag itself is not an issue with size or shape, but if the hose doesn’t fit into it then it breaks it. We have a range of Vacbags for many models of vacuum cleaners, we can always see if one fits your model or if there is a distributor near you.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

The canister vacuums get tangled and caught on furniture. 4. The cords get in the way and easily fall out of the electrical socket. 5. They are too powerful and suck up bathroom rugs and fringe on rugs, or not enough suction. 6. Hardwood floor attachments only have a small hole in the center instead of the entire width of the attachment. 7. Rug beater (carpet attachments) eat rugs and get hair wrapped around the beater bar. 8. They are too loud. 9. Bags are difficult to find and are expensive. 10. Bagless vacuums are difficult to empty. 11. They start to smell like something is burning. Hope that helps!

Q: I currently have a Bissell bagless. It just seems where I live (rural area) I am vacuuming 3-4 times a week and although I take the vacuum apart and clean regularly, it just doesn't seem to pick-up like I think it should. Anyone have an opinion on the Dyson vacuum cleaners? I am considering purchasing one and would like to know what you like or dislike about it. Thank you: I LOVE mine! I had a Kirby for a few years and was never all that thrilled with it. I was always told those were one of the best vacuums you could buy (I would hope so for the amount of money I spent for it). I went and bought a Dyson Animal and am soooooo much happier with it. I am constantly recommending it to people. In fact, my boss actually had me order one for him since I talked about it so much! :o) My favorite part about the Dyson is how you can see how well its working by how often you have to empty the collection chamber. I've heard some people complain about it not holding enough, but I look at it like it's actually doing an awesome job if I have to empty it a couple of times in one vacuuming session. And this is when I vacuum twice a week! Also, I love how easy it is to go from carpet to hard floors. Since I have a lot of tile in my house, it's nice to be able to vacuum the floors then go straight to cleaning the tile without having to pull out the broom. Plus, you can easily pull out the hose from the handle to clean corners, tight spaces, etc. without having to fumble with attachments. Even though $500 is a lot of money for a vacuum (I stupidly spent more for my Kirby), the Dyson is definately worth every penny!

Please help!: Consumer Reports does an excellent job of reviewing vacuums. For this purchase alone it is worth the online subscription price. No one vacuum is best for all persons. It depends on your floors (carpet or hard surface) the predominate dirt you will be dealing with (pet hair vs. heavy) your willingsness to work with a heavy machine, whether you have one or two machines (floor vs. steps and furniture) etc. From my personal experience, the right vacuum for you is wonderful and should last for years. The wrong one will make you crazy and you will want to throw it out the window.

Q: And why is it that once you've run out of bags, you can never find the ones for your vacuum at the store?(Anyone who uses the word suck in their answer will not get 10 points.): It is part of the disposable plan in our shaky economy. Nothing is made to last. I have given up on regular vacuum cleaners because the belts constantly break and, of course, your problem...noone carried the bags. Also, if you have a vacuum with a filter, they dont carry the filter either. I have gone 100% to a shop vac. These devils almost never cave in and it appears that you can always get the parts.
