Q:There is probably a square of a box of composite flooring
The brand of different packaging specifications, the brand under the variety of packaging specifications are also different. But the general conventional packaging specifications, a box of the basic area of about 2-3 square. Look at his packaging specifications, the length of the floor specifications
Q:Our builder is suggesting radiant heat floors and I think though I'd like the warm floors; if we have a problem with it, we would have to tear up tile floors. Anybody had experience with this?
I have personal friends in Colorado who had this system installed in their home in Ouray. I've stayed with them during colder weather and the house was very comfortable. They've lived there for 3 years and say the utility costs are minimal. Installed properly, you should never have to tear up the tile floors either. It's simply continuous tubing embedded in the cement floor or sub floor. In my Texas home I do not have radiant heat, but I do have a circulating pump on my water heater. My bathroom floor is noticeably more comfortable during winter months. It really depends on what region you live, but in colder climates I would seriously investigate it as a viable heating system.
Q:Can radiant floor heating be installed in the concrete pour, then after concrete has sufficiently cured (28 days) can a resinous coating, such as a epoxy/polyurethane floor coating be installed on a floor that will later be radiant heated. My concern is that these coatings are very moisture intolerant. Does radiant floor products, create any moisture in the slab that could rise to the surface. Does changes in temps affect the moisture levels in concrete. Electric radiant floor products seem to be best.Pipes filled with hot water to me is a concern. Do the pipes "sweat" causing condensation or are they wrapped. I am currently on a large project and these questions are coming up in the design forum.
According to the above site, water heating is the least wastefull and the most easily controlled.
Q:in an home with a dirt floor basement.
how tall do the 4x4inch posts need to be to work === if I were you I would place the cement block that is made to hold these 4x4's off the dirt .... just count the number of posts needed and go to the wood giants and multiply that number by blocks and
Q:what's a cheap and easy way to clean my kitchen and floor grout? can i use the oxy clean?
Sweep away the trash out of the way, with a floor brush, broom, or a swiffer. Try a small spot first, to see which product works well enough, the Vinegar & Baking Soda, or the Chlorine Bleach. Pour enough Baking Soda on the dirty grout, covering the dirt, then pour enough Vinegar over the Baking Soda, enough to make a small volcano. Both Vinegar and Baking Soda together will make a Little Bubbling Volcano. If the Baking Soda & Vinegar does not work as well, try pouring Chlorine Bleach instead. You can use a little bit of water with the bleach if you don't like the strong smell of Chlorine. After letting the little volcano set for a while, scrub it with the Floor Brush, until most of the dirt is gone. Or if you used the Chlorine Bleach, instead of the Baking Soda & Vinegar, also scrub the floor with the brush or electric machine. If some dirt is still left on the Tile Grout, use a floor steamer to absorb and clean the rest of the dirt inside the tile grout. After using the floor steamer, use a wet mop to wipe off the residue from the product you used. Let it dry completely, before stepping and enjoying your clean Tile Floor.
Q:The floors are brand new laminate floors, only about 2 months old. We just moved in here and our realtor told us to use Orange Glo to make them shiny. Biggest mistake I have ever made. It looked great at first but now the floors look like crap. They are hazy, no longer shiny, and collect dirt like you wouldn't believe. I just now used ammonia, vinegar, baking soda and water to remove the left over wax build up. It helped a little and right after I did that I went over the floors with Bruce laminate cleaner. I thought it worked really well until I walked over the floor and then looked back and saw my foot prints all over the floor. So my question is, why on these newly cleaned floors can you see my foot print where ever I walk and what can I do to stop that? Also, do you have any suggestions on removing the wax buildup? Thanks
Scrub the floors with plain water and microfiber cloths or a microfiber mop. Repeat if necessary. The microfiber will remove the build up without using chemicals. Laminate floors are very low maintenance. Ironically, if you use a lot of cleaning products on them, they will actually look worse...they will get smudges and streaks, like you're experiencing. And steam can absolutely ruin laminate floors. It can cause warping and even cause the veneer to peel right off. Having said this, exactly how do you maintain a laminate floor? Mostly just by vacuuming it. When you need more than a vacuuming, use a microfiber mop and plain old water. No cleanser, no vinegar, no nothing...just water. Let the mop do the work. Microfiber is fantastic at removing dirt and streaks and doesn't need a cleanser to help. And you want the microfiber very wet, but you don't want to have pools of water on the floor....a wet cloth or mop, but not dripping. If you don't already have a microfiber mop, you can buy them at Walmart, Target, Kmart, Home Depot, and even Dollar General. I've never used anything but a vacuum and a microfiber mop (plus water) on our laminate floors and they still look fantastic after many years and many cleanings. Hope this helps. -
Q:I am considering pulling up my carpet and painting the cement. I do not like the carpet, but I would not mind hard woods, but that is a little too much money. I have also thought of tiling the floors. How hard is it to pull the carpet up, ready the cement, and eventually paint the floor? How much money will I be needing? Suggestions please!
Stained concrete and clear sealer can look very nice. Painting is also an option. Just be sure the product you use is specifically for concrete floors and read the direction carefully. The main thing is to have a clean surface with no dust and dirt. If you just use regular wall paint you will be in trouble.
Q:Home decoration, to the building materials market to buy wood flooring, to hear more business description of heavy ants wood is oily, better! However, the color of heavy ants I do not like, I prefer two wings and bones of the heart of the book to fly yao read Yue Sao advocate nature, I ask why the oil is good, two wings beans oily? More
Natural oily can no longer brush the floor paint, the moisture has some help, in addition to anti-dry. A kind of oil-filled two-winged beans
Q:We have engineered 'click' laminate floating floor with a thick underlay which comes in panels. Our neighbors complain about the noise- they can hear each step we make. How can we make the flooring soundproof while maintaining the strength of the floor?
in case you merely want a rapid restoration and are going to the two redo the floor later, or once you're merely removing the valuables all collectively, you are able to lay the hot tiles over existion vinyl floor overlaying. be beneficial to point off any chipped away factors with drywall mudd and make beneficial the floor is thoroughly swept and wiped sparkling before you practice the bew tiles. despite if !!!! in case you opt to do the activity properly, take the previous floors up, sweep the floor. Use a keep vac if available, and point those chipped out or gashed factors with genuine floor leveling cement. THEN, lay your tiles.
Q:I've seen in some retail spaces a glittery floor and I would love to know what it is! Or any suggestions for a glitter/sparkly floor?
idk. if you have hard wood flooring then you could buy some clear stain then add a bunch of glitter to it? that'll work... other wise i have never heard of glittery flooring?
