Q: We have 2 vacuum cleaners. Both are bagless, only 7 months old and both have weird smell .whenever they are used, smell spreads throughout the house. They have hepa filters, even changed them but still no change. After investigating more, found that the smell is coming from the cyclonic assembly of the vacuum. The assembly is filled with fine dirt, as it cant be cleaned or washed out, there is nothing we can do. Is there a way to get rid of it without opening and cleaning the cyclonic assembly or bagged vacuum is the only way to go. Plz any suggestions? . This smell even bothers in breathing and flares up my asthma also.: I have yet to see a vacuum cleaner that don't add a smell to the air. Try vacuuming up some backing soda this helps.

I don't have $70-$100 every month to go and buy new one especially knowing that it's not gonna pick up what it's supposed to. I don't have pets and the carpet is short. Q: I am looking to replace a vacuum cleaner. I have had several Hoover Windtunnels and just purchased and returned a Bissell Pet Vac. I have five dogs and three cats and have been going thru vacuum cleaners about every two years. I am considering spending a bit more money hoping to have a vacuum last longer and was looking into the Dyson. I hate to blindly spend that kind of money on something when all of the reviews are from people who haven't had theirs very long. I am looking for people who have had their Dyson 4 or more years and I am interested in the good, the bad and the ugly. I am looking into the DC07 animal and the DC17 absolute animal.
