- Q:I have carpet all throughout my house, white carpet! I had 4 upright vacuums in the last 2 years. My first vacuum cleaner was a dirt devil and it would pick up stuff, then throw them back. The second was the same one, I thought that the first one messed up. My third vacuum was a Bissell and it picks up really good, but it gets clogged and I had unclogged it alot of times so I just got sick of it and threw it away. Now I just bought a eureka vacuum and it worked really really good but now it's not picking anything up. Now I just don't know what vacuum to get, because I had some many. Please suggest some really good vacuum cleaners. Thanks, :)

- Try a Royal Dirt Devil. I have had mine for 13 years and it still works great. It also works on hardwood floors.

- I have a Shop-Vac Wall Mount between my two garage doors so it will clean both cars. It came with a wall bracket, about 12 ft of plastic hose attachments. Lots of power, good filter, 120 V. easy to clean-out with a large holding tank. I found it at a Menard's for less than $60. Works great!

It just seems where I live (rural area) I am vacuuming 3-4 times a week and although I take the vacuum apart and clean regularly, it just doesn't seem to pick-up like I think it should. - I just brought home a new DC15 Animal. My first impression while unpacking was that the plastic felt very cheap and flimsy. This was for the main upright vacuum as well as the attachments. After turning it on and cleaning a very small section of the floor I was quite surprised by what was picked up. The carpet needed vacuuming, so I wasn't at all surprised by the dirt. Much of what accumulated in the canister was carpet fiber, even after a second or third cleaning. So much in fact, that I have to question whether it is causing damage to the carpet, not just removing loose fibers. This was on a pile type carpet, there was very little fiber after vacuuming a berber carpet. Releasing the support wheels to activate the brush is somewhat awkward. Hopefully I'll get more used to it and this won't be an issue. I'm optimistic that it will work well, but time will tell...
