- Q: I have a Eureka canister, model 1620 B. I am trying to find HEPA bags for the canister. Eureka no longer makes quot;type Squot;, but I have found Hoover quot;type SHEPA bags and am wondering if they are compatible.
- Yes! That is how you tell which bag you should be buying. The LETTER S fits all vacuum cleaners that use an S bag. If you're using an S bag now, then any S bag will work for you. Hope this helps!!

- I have a couple of Oreck vacuum cleaners. They have disposable bags. They are powerful and light weight. You need the Oreck hand vacuum that goes with the upright Oreck as there is no hose on the main unit. Oreck has a small vacuum with all the hose attachments and it also has a disposable bag. Very handy for doing stairs. I've had mine for about eight years with no problems at all.

- To be honest I have an Oreck and although I do love it, I had just vacuumed my floors when a salesman from Kirby came to my door and it was incredible the amount of dirt that it picked up, AFTER I had just vacuumed with my Oreck. i don't have any experience with Dyson although the turnoff with that for me was the fact that you have to send it out to have any repairs on it, including the belt changed. I think if you can afford it the kirby is your best bet, if not then the Oreck. Also just a tip. If you do go with the Kirby, talk the salesperson down, they went lower with my twice with interest free financing for a year after I kept saying that I couldn't afford it. Unfortunately I wasn't lying so I didn't buy it but would if I could.

- The quietest one I know is a Ghibli. I have one. If you're standing beside it, you can talk to someone in a normal voice. Mine doesn't have a beater bar which is the noisiest part of a vacuum cleaner but has lots of suction and does a very good job on carpets without it. Go to a vacuum specialty store and see what they have. I understand that Miele is very quiet too. When you're checking out vacuum cleaners, note that most of them give a decibel rating in the specs
