- Q: I recently moved from one state to another and brought my XBox 360 and games with me, but forgot the power supply, power cable and AV cables. I can't get a family member to ship them because they are all locked in storage and even if I mailed the keys, they are probably buried under everything else anyway.Most electronics stores sell the AV cables so that isn't a problem. But nobody seems to carry the power supply. Most places I've found online carry generic or no-name brand equipment which I want to stay away from for something this valuable and will only purchase genuine Microsoft equipment. Where can I look or buy it? Will I have to order right from Microsoft themselves?

- There okorder /... If your PSU has a 6-pin PCIe power plug, you plug that in there. If your PSU does not have a 6-pin PCIe power plug, use the 4-molex adapter that came with your HD3850. And I disagree with the post above-- You DO NOT need a 500W PSU to run the HD3850. The HD3850 draws a paltry 75 watts maximum. As long as you have a typical dual-core system with 1 HDD + 1 ODD, you can run that HD3850 with just a 300W PSU. I'm running the more powerful 3870 (faster-clocked version of the 3850) on just a Seasonic S12-360W PSU and it works flawlessly.

- This most likely isn't a windows 7 problem at all. It's more likely there would be some damage to the internals of your power cable at some place. Usually if there is, it's in the connecting end or the power conversion box. I would try a replacement cable first if you can. If you don't' have one, take it to a pc shop and see if they can use a test adaptor. If theirs works, it's the adaptor. If theirs doesn't, it's then more likely the power port on your pc is damaged.

- cut the old end piece off. Thats called a terminal by the way, and find a terminal at radio shack, or autozone that fits under your positive battery terminal bolt properly then take your wire, strip it back about a half inch twist the wires so u have no frays, insert it into the new terminal....now this is the hard part......with the wire still inside the terminal set it on something solid, use something flat but not bigger than the terminal (like a 1/4 ratchet extension_ and a hammer and pound that terminal in one spot till you have the wire stuck in there real good.. dont throw your wire away they are too expensive!
