Q: kitchen sink: it sounds like theres a waterfall underneath it and, from what we can tell, it seems to be leaking from the vertical pipe.bathroom sink: sounds like a very tiny waterfall. It mainly sounds like a water faucet does when you have it turned on at normal speed. Q: Over the weekend I put a reddish packet down on my NEW, WHITE bathroom sink. When I went to pick the packet up I saw it had left a PINK STAIN about the size of a half dollar on my new sink (I *think* the sink is porcelain but I'm not positive. It is *not* marble or any other stone. It is - I believe - basic bathroom sink material). Anyway, I used some Comet bathroom cleaner. Did nothing. I then tried bleach (big mistake! Q: My bathroom vanity and sinks are old. Instead of replacing them, I was wondering if they could be updated similar to the way bathtubs are updated?: What are they now? You can use that same stuff to do bathtubs on your porcelain sink. Maybe just stain the vanity. Putting in some new sink hardware if needed. I just did somewhat the same in my extra bathroom. I didnt want to spend alot or replace them either. Stain $6, Tub repair kit $45 (did tub and sink), Light fixture $30, Faucet $30. $100 total and a days work for a redone bathroom, wasnt bad. If you use the Tub Kit I would recommend getting the aerosol type. I used the brush on stuff before and It was much more of a hassle and didnt come out as nice as the aerosol. Not sure about durability tho, hopefully just as good.

THE BATHROOM SINK!): They are usually little squares with small holes in them that the ants can enter and remove some of the bait which they take back to the nest. It does take a week or so to accomplish this but its the best way. Once the ants are gone try to figure out what attracted them, do you pour soda down that drain and Is there a leak in that drain that allows them to enter it? Do not pour sweetened liquids on the ground anywhere around the house , even kids spilling their drinks will only magnify the problem.

Q: how do you unstop a bathroom sink?: Place a bucket under the U shaped pipe under the sink. Loosen the nut at each end of the U and then remove it. This is called the trap. Clean it out. Look inside the pipe going into the wall and check for hair and such. Remove any with a wire (coathanger etc). Look down from above the sink to see if any more debis is in the pipe. Reconnect the trap and run or pour hot water down it. If it is still clogged, use an enzyme drain cleaner such as DraineCare by Zep. Available at Big Box stores and hardwares.
