- Q: I'm eligible for an upgrade, and I would like to know your opinions on whether I should get the G2, or MyTouch 4G. Before anyone answers, yes I am aware T-Mobile (like many other carriers) may not be as strong in your area, as it is in mine. I'm not looking for any comments about T-Mobile, or how the IPhone is so much better than any of them etcI'm seeking what owners have found as Pro's Con's of each type of phone. Like what's the difference between G2's Stock Android, and MyTouch's adaptation of it. If you are a current owner of either of these phones, you're experiences be they positive or negative. - Although I haven't owned a MyTouch 4G, all I ever see on the Android market is MT4G owners complaining about apps because they don't work. I can only imagine that is a problem with the phone, and not the apps

- You need to get a SIM subsidy unlock codeif any of you have a T-Mobile account, T-Mobile will give you the unlock code for free. In addition to your account information you'll need to give them the IMEI (serial code) of that particular phone. You get that by dialing *#06# (star pound zero six pound.) This does not apply if it's a Sidekick cause T-Mobile won't unlock those.

- Q: I was planning on buying a cell phone from t-mobile, the motorola cliq xt. i was gonna buy the phone with a 2 year contract since it's cheaper, but i noticed the cheapest plan is $39.99. I also noticed that once i click the plan, it brings me to a services page where it says required services are android and T-Mobile Android Unlimited Web. do i REALLY need the unlimited web plan or can i just buy the phone/39.99 plan? the unlimited web plan is $30 alone so it would cost 69.99/month. this is my first phone with an actual plan(currently mine is pre-paid), so i don't know much about them. thanks for any input!
- i recommend staying with prepaid. with that said, yes, most of there phones require an unlimited data plan for 30 dollars. and it's not just t-mobile that requires it, verizon is the same way. i say it's just another way for phone companies to get more money. i have straight talk and i love it. it's prepaid and it runs on the verizon network so it has great service. for 30 dollars a month you get 1,000 minutes, 1,000 text/picture messages and 30 MB of data or for 45 dollars a month you get unlimited everything. there's no roaming fees. unlimited calls to 411 at no extra charge, where on other providers it could cost any where from 1.29 to 1.99 for a 411 call. but that's up to you. i have had service with verizon postpaid, t-mobile, tracfone, net10, straight talk, verizon prepaid, t-mobile prepaid, u.s. cellular postpaid and i have to say prepaid wins. contracts really suck. yes the phones are nicer, but unless you pay full retail for the phone and not sign a contract, i don't recommend going with a postpaid account. good luck deciding.

- You have them added to your messenger contact list ? If so,go to their name and right click and go to contact details, enter their mobile phone number, then you will be able to send them text messages(SMS message) or if they have yahoo messenger on their mobile phone, you can send them an instant message that way just like if they were on the computer. Or if they are not on your messenger contact list, then go to actions drop down menu at the top of your messenger window, and from there you can send an instant message, an SMS message, and some other stuff. But under SMS message, there are two tabs shown. One is for your messenger contacts and the other is for other contacts-for example if the friends you want to send a text message to are not on your messenger contact list, this is the tab you want. When you click on the other contact tab, there will be a box you can enter someone's mobile phone number to send them a text message from your messenger. I hope this helps.
