- Q: I would to find out the cost of mobile phone. Thank you,Beth Crawford
- YOU SHOULD KNOW!!
- Q: I have a t-mobile phone and a plan. But i'm only a year into my contract. I don't want to change the plan but i want to change the phone. I was wondering if i can buy the phone i want from t-mobile which is a SIDEKICK LX- carbon. and just insert my SIM CARD into it and use it. Will it work if i just put my SIM card into it? and will i be able to access the network AIM. i don't need anything else. i just want to be able to receive and send calls and log into AIM, keep the same phone number and listen to my music thats it. can someone help me out plz. Thanks in Advance
- I also have t-mobile and they have good customer service well if you buy one for t-mobile i think you can buy the full price which about $200 or they could extend your contract and give it to you with a discount. I would rather just buy the phone. Not having a contract makes you monthly bills a little lower for like 20 less. It does have AIM so don't worry and yes you can just insert the Sim card to you new phone with the same number.
- Q: For Christmas I got a T-Mobile Sidekick Id cell phone. Is it possible for me to transfer my Sprint Samsung Rant Sim card into my T-Mobile sidekick?
- Sprint doesnt use sim cards. They use CDMA networking ( no sim cards) TMobile and atT use sim cards. Plus sprint wont activate a nonsprint branded phone. The phone has to be from sprint
- Q: i want mobile phone tracking software
- no such thing unless a phone company made one WHICH THEY WONT because its classified as a whats the word. evading peroples privacy. and if youve seen that one on the internet that advertised one? its nothing but a click-and-auto download-virus. and it requires you to give your info and then the phone company sells it to marketers and thats how you gett annoying telly marketers
- Q: How does a mobile come to know that which operator is meant for it. What exactly happens and how a mobile phone attach to the network. How it is different if the mobile is in roaming area?
- A cell phone network is made up of the cell phones themselves, base stations, and the mobile switching center (MSC) hardware which does call routing, etc. The base stations (cell towers) are always broadcasting out control signals that contain a System ID (SID) and how it expects cell phones to identify themselves. When you power up a cell phone, it hears this and registers with the nearest base station and your cell phone sends its Mobile ID Number. This Mobile ID Number is more than just your cell phone number, it also contains its own system ID (SID) number, and it also contains the ESN, Electronic Serial Number that identifies that specific phone. If the base station's SID and cell phone's SID match, then the phone is on its home network. If not, then you are roaming and connect to another provider's network, usually for additional charges. Your phone usually can hear multiple cell towers but connects to the one that has the best signal (signal to noise ratio). After your phone is registered, your cell phone number plus ESN are forwarded to the MSC, which sends this to a home location register or HLR. If it turns out you're not on your home provider's network, it goes to a VLR, Visiting Location Register. This way the cellular network always knows where you are, that is, which cell you're in (what cell tower) so calls can be router to/from your cell phone.
- Q: Hi, I have an old t-mobile phone. The 2 year contract expired probably 5 years ago. Now I want to get a new phone and also want to move to pageplus. I am wondering how should I do it?Should I get a CDMA phone, then stick my SIM card from my old t-mobile phone to this new phone, then call pageplus to port the number to my new phone? How exactly does it work? Thanks.
- T-Mobile phones are not compatable with Page Plus. Page Plus uses Verizon phones. Page Plus does not use sim card with their phones. You will need to buy a Verizon phone that works with Page Plus. Then you will have to call/contact Page Plus and have them Port your phone number with T-Mobile to Page Plus. You may want to contact Page Plus and see if they will port a phone number from T-Mobile, before you buy a phone.
- Q: can anyone tell me websites for cellular / mobile phone companies in Taipei. I will be travelling to taipei next week will need a pre-paid GSM mobile phone connection
- Hi, okorder
- Q: Firstly how come a mobile phone gets 'locked'?What does it mean?
- Every mobile phone is locked when it is purchased new, say that it was purchased with a Vodaphone sim card in it it is locked to Vodafone, you can get it unlocked (meaning that you could use any simcard eg. TMobile, O2, Orange etc. You can ge this done by the network itself in a shop or search for the unlock code on the internet.
- Q: A message has been posted on my mum's workplace notice board saying that if you don't have a mobile phone signal dialing 112 will still connect you to the emergency services.Does anyone know if this is true or a hoax? I have found something online about it but it was from 6 years ago. If anyone has a link to any mobile phone company's website in the UK that says it's false which I can print off for my mum to take to work would be appreciated.Thanks.
- A mobile phone is a radio device. Hence, if there is really no signal at all, it cannot work: it cannot communicate with the base station, for any purpose. On the other hand, when the network is overloaded the system will often refuse normal calls and prioritise emergency numbers. When this happens my phone shows 'Emergency only' - if it says 'No signal' it is totally out of contact. It is possible that some phones are programmed to show 'No signal' when they will still accept emergency calls. Check with your provider.
