- Bad wiring in the house? Sounds at least like a situation like that. Not uncommon in buildings of certain times.. older types of wiring used. And worse not ready for todays amount of electronics. So yeah check the wiring. In between time buy a few extension boxes, you know the type with more then 1 electronic socket. But most important a switch. That way you can switch it off and that way such discharges won't happen any more.

- If it powers.. then that's getting juice so that's no longer the means provide. attempt unplugging all demanding drives and CD force.. means it on.. Do you get a show? Plug each and each device in a million at a time until eventually eventually you artwork out which one it really is... also verify to make useful your demanding force wouldn't have any bent pints and make useful that that's totally plugged in.

- Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

- I agree completely with the reply above However SOME eSATA cards that have external power jacks to power the external drive will have either a four pin Molex plug (same as an IDE/PATA drive) or a Floppy power plug. And back in the day when Firewire was more common any good firewire card had a power socket on it, again, either a Molex plug or a floppy power plug. AD

- What is your question? Does such a cable exist? Probably but you'll have to be more specific. High efficiency = low loss or low resistance per foot? Double shielded = is the shielding (in dB) critical? Transmission = What frequency, 60 Hz, 1 MHz, 100 MHz, ? Power = Watts, KW, MW Is weight or cost important?
- Q: My system was working fine until today. The bass stopped hitting to the music and thumps in intervals of about 5 seconds regardless of whether the music is turned up or down. I hooked up my system without my capacitor to see if this was the problem. It worked...but only for a minute. The bass was hitting like it was suppose to but all of a sudden it went back to the interval thumping and the power cable got hot to the touch and the fuse inside the holder was melted. What the heck is the problem?
- Not the fuse. You're power wire is too small to handle the load. For 800-1100 watts RMS systems use 4 AWG wire. The main fuse should be the sum of the fuse ratings on the amp.
- Q: we need to feed power of 60kW to island villa
- You probably need a higher voltage than that, depending on the distance. That is 1500 amps which needs a hugh cable. This should be stepped up to a much higher voltage. And yes, cables are available. If you don't know that, then you need to hire a qualified electrician to do this. edit, sorry, 150 amps, less if this is 3 phase. But still a lot of current. AND the wire size will depend on the distance. More than a few hundred feet and the size has to go up to keep the voltage drop below 5% .

- Very simple...remove the negative clamp from the battery in your car before you attempt to do any thing. now the circuit is broken... make sure your ground for your amp is going to something metal on your car... I imagine you are trying to hook your power cable to the positive clamp on your battery... After the amp is grounded. you may now hook-up the power cable on to the positive terminal of the battery. tighten the positive terminal with your amp power line together. Then when you are sure the amp is grounded...( ground wire to metal )...you have a ground wire from the amp also. take the positive battery post wire and reattach... then the negative battery post wire... the battery wires sould not get hot or change temp, you will know as it happens quickly... now if all the wires are done right and your cables don't heat up, it is safe. if you turn on the stereo now and it dosen't work, it just means you blew the fuse on the line to the stereo. find on the line, replace it... it is a safety thing so you don't blow the amp or burn the car down... When ever you work on a car always remove the NEGITIVE post on the battery...
