Q:My vacuum cleaner has recently lost all suction. I've cleaned out the filters, and made sure the tubes aren't clogged with gunk, and everything is pretty clear. Any other suggestions? I'd rather try to fix it then buy yet another new vacuum.
What type of vacuum do you own (make/model #)? If you could tell me the make/model then I could probably help you a little better. However, if the vacuum you own cost less than $100, then unfortunately it's probably time to buy a new one. Most cheap vacuums tend to loose suction over time, and repairing them can cost almost as much as a new one. It sounds like you have purchased quite a few vacuums, and are probably tired of doing so. Unfortunately, it seems that most vacuum manufacturers now days make vacuums so they only last 3-5 years (and some even less). However, there still are some good vacuums for less than $150 (if you do need to purchase one): the Shark Navigator is a great one and comes with a 5 Year Warranty, the Eureka Airspeed Bagless is another great one that doesn't cost that much. If you want to have a vacuum that will last 20 years, then you are going to need to spend a little more money. If you can do this, then I would recommend looking at a Miele - they have some great options, and are tested to literally run for 20 years, and come with a 7 year warranty. They are expensive, but if you take into consideration the cost of 5+ cheap vacuums, then it's not that bad in the long-run. Anyways, I hope this helps. Good luck.
Q:Should I spend a lot and expect it to last for years, or should I spend a little and expect to replace it next year. What brand and model should I buy. Please help!
Buy a Dyson or a Miele, you can't go wrong. You'll be buying quality for maybe twice the price of one that wouldn't do as good a job and that you'll replace in a year. They will last you 10 years no problem and do a better job than the lesser vacuum cleaner too. So you'll save money in the long run too. It's a win win situation.
Q:Hi,I am looking to buy a vacuum cleaners but am unsure on which one to get? Does anyone have any good recommendations. My price range is about ?150, preferably not a Dyson; and obviously lots of suction lolI have some animal so maybe one with a animal section or something.Oh, BTW i would preferably upright. Thanks
Well, amongst folks with animals, the Dyson is the favorite. We had the supposedly top-rated (by Consumer Reports) Hoover Windtunnel upright prior to our Dyson (which Consumer Reports has no use for). There is no comparison. I have to empty the Dyson at least three times every time we vacuum our 1400 sf house. I could go a month without replacing the bag on the Hoover. Plus, Dysons don't catch fire. I've seen ads for other makes showing their models picking up ball bearings and all kinds of stuff. Next time I need to pick up hundreds of marble-sized steel ball bearings, I'll buy it.
Q:Hello,I am looking for sanitaire vacuum cleaners online i can purchasewhere can i do my research except google
your okorder I personally buy from that store
Q:it annoys me so much, i wish they would make a quiet one
Well, consider that most dogs don't make the connection between the vacuum cleaner and the fact that you're using it to clean the house. It's just a noisy, scary looking contraption that you turn on once a week and wipe all over the floor, usually shooing them away from the place that they've been resting. Many dogs like vacuum cleaners, but the ones who don't are usually just scared of them because they don't understand them.
Q:Especially that guy who sells vacuum cleaners.
Same reason all American accents make the speaker sound slow and stupid.
Q:I've been working on a couple projects in one room in my house. The room really needs to be vacuumed but there is aquarium gravel scattered around as well as a bunch of tiny screws. I have a shark vacuum. There's no threat of puncturing a bag because this vacuum doesn't use a bag - it uses a canister. I could easily empty the canister and then go over the floor with the hose. I'm wondering if it's an ok idea though because I don't want to damage anything in the vacuum. Occasionally, my battery powered aquarium vacuum will suck up a couple pieces of gravel, they'll get stuck, stop the vacuum, and I have to get them out for the vacuum to work again. I don't know how house vacuums work, but I don't want that to happen. If there aren't any mechanical components to be damaged, then I guess the only other worry would be the hose, but the hose on this vacuum feels pretty sturdy, and I would just be vacuuming tiny gravel and tiny, corroded screws - nothing sharp like tacks or nails. What do you guys think?
really?...really?
Q:What are the filtration methods for vacuum cleaners?
Water filtration using water as filter medium makes the dust and microorganisms in the most of them will be dissolved in water and the rest of the lock, through the filter after further filtering, the exhaust cleaner may breathe cleaner air than. The utility model has the advantages of dry and wet use, and the disadvantage is that the dust is cleaned after being finished.
Q:I am in desperate need of a new vacuum cleaner - I have just bought a vax after the sales lady recommended but am taking it back due to its poor performance its so noisy my neighbours hear me hoovering at the end of the street ! far too heavy and hardly picks up a thing !! I have had a dyson before which was fab but really cannot stretch to a new one far too pricy - perhaps i am always going to compare performance to this anyone know anything as good but not as expensive all opinions greatly appreciated
i became thinking the comparable element. I easily have a eureka vacuum. it particularly is common according to probability spent $60 from walmart. I easily have had it for a jointly as now. 4+ years according to probability. the trick is you ought to tutor any vacuum TLC. sparkling the comb and alter the bag many times. do no longer permit it top off even 0.5 finished till now you regulate it. the priority with all vacuums that have luggage is the bag is likewise the exhaust. the air comes out and as quickly as the dirt clogs up the tiny holes. then it would not paintings besides. ALL vacuums paintings large at first while they're sparkling and with a sparkling bag. you basically ought to take the attempt to maintain them that way.
Q:You can't vacuum if there's no power, so why would you need the light? You can't get into the corners of the carpet anyhow, so why taunt you by showing you the extra dust?
Well.. I am sure that it is NOT because they expect people to vacumn at night but there are rooms that are dimly light and the light helps a little... but when one really thinks about it.. it was a poor question and obviously the person who thought of the IDEA of putting a light on a vacumn did not have his IDEA BULB brightly lit
