Tower crane is a modern form of balance crane that consist of the same basic parts. - Of course you need specialised training! Crane operators have to sit several courses in safe crane operations. Crane operators tend to just work cranes and not help with general building work as they earn more money and it is only cost effective to have them on site when they are actually needing to use the crane.
