- Hi. I study Fukien White Crane Boxing - Yong Chun Bai He Quan. It was developed by a young lady named Fang Chiniang. Its foundation in a practice called Sam Chien or 3 Conflicts. Through this training you develop internal power and strong foundation. From the Yong Chun, which is the original, came other branches that are practiced in Taiwan - Feeding Crane, Shouting Crane, Shaking Crane, Sleeping Crane, Flying Crane, and others. There is another Crane style that is known as Tibetant Crane and is not associated with the Fukien Crane. It was developed by a Tibetan Lama (Monk). Fukien Crane concepts are Float, Sink, Swallow, Spit. They dictate different aspects of application and are pretty clear as far as their attributes. The White Crane Style is not very common and you would have to do lots of research to find someone near you to train with. This is true about the Hakka Arts in general. Where are you located?
