Q: Denny Crane (played by William Shattner), and Alan Shore (played by James Spader) are partners in a Boston law firm. I would like to know if those those two are father and son in the series,
NO. They are good friends.
Q: i live in cali and these things are really starting to piss me off!!!!!!! I never noticed any before ( when i lived in colorado) but it seems lately that they are all over!!!! every time i open my damn door AT LEAST 5 of them come in! THERE SO GROSS with there big hanging legs! EWWWWW! Anyways, when will they go away and what do i do to keep them from getting in my house?
The crane fly season only last for a month or so. There are years when they can reach almost plague proportions but within another 2-3 years their numbers should return to normal.. They can cause some damage to farm crops but the good news is that they are harmless to us.
Q: how do they get cranes on top of building sites?
One way is another crane, although I think you are talking about the ones for really tall buildings. In those cases, they use a crane (self-hoisting tower crane) that is able to raise or hoist itself up as construction continues. For example, it will be working on the 10th floor, and then it will climb the recently placed girders to the 11th floor, and so and so forth. Sometimes the crane is disassembled at the top... other times, it is kept there to aid in window washing.
Q: WHAT IS A WADDLE CRANE?
Well okorder / but I couldn't find any reference to them being called waddle cranes. While the W on a key board is close to the S, you'd have to miss the TR for waddle to be misspelling of straddle, so I have no idea, sorry.
Q: How to calculate life span of steel structure? for example, crane?
With bridges that you would be able to calculate an anticipated lifespan. It is going to now not be very particular. You measure the deflection as a given load goes over it. You also measure deflection with average site visitors. You are taking measurements of what normal visitors is. With this knowledge that you would be able to undertaking lifespan and prefer exchanging bridges earlier than they crumple. Once I was once a engineering student I had a summer time job serving to to experiment bridges. Most bridges and gigantic constructions are designed to are living 50 years I believe. For constructions I have no idea of any measurements you would take. I think it is most often a matter of periodic inspections. The things to seem for are basis problems, cracking of concrete, exposed re-bar, concrete flaking off etc.
Q: I am writing an annotated bib about this topic and I'm not sure where to start looking or what could and couldn't be considered as a theme.
Crane's work is often thematically driven by Naturalistic and Realistic concerns, including ideals versus realities, spiritual crises and fear. These themes are particularly evident in Crane's first three novels, Maggie: A Girl of the Streets, The Red Badge of Courage and George's Mother.[171] The three main characters search for a way to make their dreams come true, but ultimately suffer from crises of identity.[172] In The Red Badge of Courage, the main character both longs for the heroics of battle but ultimately fears it, demonstrating the dichotomy of courage and cowardice. He experiences the threat of death, misery and a loss of self.[173] Extreme isolation from society and community is also apparent in Crane's work. During the most intense battle scenes in The Red Badge of Courage, for example, the story's focus is predominately on the inner responses of a self unaware of others.[174] In The Open Boat, An Experiment in Misery and other short stories, Crane uses experiments with light, motion and color to express different degrees of epistemological uncertainty.[175] Similar to other Naturalistic works, Crane scrutinizes the position of man, who has been isolated not only from society, but also from God and nature. The Open Boat, for example, distances itself from the old Romantic optimism and affirmation of man's place in the world by concentrating on the characters' isolation.
Q: I've only seen one book that has it.I can't buy it until I get more money. That's the only one from that book I really wanted though...Is there any site that has it?With a diagram. Thanks!
Here okorder /. I will say that using a light-weight paper like origami paper (not printer paper like I was using) will make it easier to fold. Have fun! And thanks--I never knew about Kissing Cranes until I read your question...and I like them too!
Q: Today, my boyfriend surprised me with an origami bird he'd made for me the night before, just for no reason. He told me he'd tried to make a crane but it got to be to complicated. I thought an was an incredibly sweet gesture, and I thanked him thoroughly. I was wondering if it would be nice to give him an origami something back? I found a really easy video on how to make cranes and I made one, but I don't want it to seem like I'm trying to show him up, I just want to show my gratitude. Would it be best to give him the crane, give him a different origami animal, or just let the whole thing go? Sorry if it seems like I'm over thinking this, I just really like him :)
i really dont think he would want a crane back... because he made that crane especially for you ^_^ and you should just tell him how sweet you thought it was that he made one for u =]
Q: I've come up with a few reasons, if someone could add on to it then that would be wonderful!Thank you for answering my question :D
A crane allows us to place light or heavy loads with precession and safety; on top of buildings, across water ways, down mine shafts and over obstacles. Building a pyramid today would be done with cranes, instead of building ramps to slide the massive stone blocks up. Cranes speed up any construction project. Cranes eliminate a lot of manual labor. Cranes prevent injuries by doing the hard work. One example, we used a crane to lift off an entire house roof, in one piece. We then built a second story and then used the crane again to put the roof back on. Without a crane, it would have taken several days to tear off the shingles, remove the roof sheeting and the trusses, not to mention the money saved. The building codes do not allow the reuse of wood trusses, yet not taking the roof apart, allowed use to reuse the trusses, a savings of hundreds of dollars. Wingman
