You could just get window hardware that takes the place of a tieback, that matches your drapery hardware and the curtain/drape just hooks over that rather than using an actual tieback. To use your tieback, you need a hook that will hold the two ends. Depending on how you want the curtains/drapes to fall and the fullness of them will depend on where you put the hook - further out from the window if very full. Yes, generally you would just leave the tieback there, hanging out, until you use them again. Usually though, where you place the hook will allow the drapes/curtains to cover the tieback when not in use (as well as the hook).

- Go to the hardware store or walmart and get some wall anchors. They have some that you can hammer in and don't even have to drill.You only need one in each bracket to hold it and just put a screw in the bottom hole.

- How about a patterned curtain with all 3 or even 2 of those colors? You could check at local stores for this, or even try a fabric store and have them made (or make them yourself if you are handy). But here's something to think about..What if you take the existing brown curtains pull them back and either have a cream colored sheer curtain or even cream colored vinyl mini-blinds? That way you are using up what you already have. The brown makes the room seem dark,but it will act as a great accent when pulled back. You could get something red for your tiebacks...ribbon, beads, whatever will look fun and different. Personally it sounds darling, have fun with it!!

- Are you allowed to use wall paper. If you are you can use that. It's a little hard to get of the wall but it's so much fun to take off. You just get a steamer or steam blower cleaning thing and steam the walls. It won't peel off but it will loosen the glue so you can peel it. You can hang curtains on the window instead of the wall. And fill up the wall with pictures and shelves with small nic nacks. I have these squares and they are 3 different sizes, you hang them on the wall and put like flowers or books inside. It's like having a book shelf but only a very small square bookshelf...if that makes sense

- Without an image, it's hard to say--what color are the eyes? I think you might be safe in choosing white or another neutral color, perhaps even gray. You don't want colors competing with each other, especially in a small space, and I think if you choose something neutral, it would allow your wonderful shower curtain to really take center stage. I'd consider the gray, myself, but not just any old gray. Look at many of them, and get just the right depth of color to show off your shower curtain without making your bath look like a dungeon.
