1.    Structure introduction :

The boiler is a double-drum longitudinal natural circulation assembled water-tube boiler. The combustion equipment adopts light chain grate and equipped with stepless speed transmission device. The front, rear and two sides of the water-cooled wall are arranged in the furnace, and the water-cooled wall on both sides adopts the membrane wall structure. The front and rear water-cooled wall hanging special-shaped refractory bricks form a high and short front arch and a low and long rear arch above the grate, covering about 75 % of the length of the grate. The convection tube bundle is composed of boiler steel tubes, and the flue gas is folded into three return strokes with a partition wall. A cast iron economizer and a horizontal steel tube air preheater are arranged at the tail.

The blower blows cold air into the air preheater from the left side of the boiler, and enters the hot air ducts on both sides of the boiler after heat exchange. It rises to the furnace through nine independent grate air chambers. Each air inlet pipe is provided with an adjustment door, which makes the air distribution adjustment on the grate simple. The coal hopper is arranged in front of the combustion equipment, and the coal gate adopts a water-cooled cast steel serrated shape, which effectively increases the surface area of the coal seam and is conducive to the full combustion of coal.

The fuel enters the furnace through the coal hopper device and burns. The high-temperature flue gas absorbed by the water-cooled wall of the furnace enters the cooling chamber and convection tube bundle. After heat exchange, the furnace body is discharged into the cast iron economizer and tubular air preheater, and then through the dust collector. Finally, the induced draft fan is drawn from the chimney to the atmosphere.

2.Product features :

The membrane water-cooled wall boiler is one of the characteristic products of our factory. Because this type of boiler adopts a variety of new technologies and new structures, it has the characteristics that other boiler manufacturers do not have :

a.The burner, upper & lower drums and convective tube banks are assembled in workshop to reduce to workload at site, shorten the assembly period, ensure the assembly quality and cut the investment for client.

b.The boiler has double drums, total water tube and natural circulation, with large water capacit, large radiation heating surface,,large output capacity and safe & reliable operation.

c.Our boiler is featured in the left & right sides of furnace, where are all membrane walls. This feature helps enlarge the radiation heating surface effectively and enable the boiler with excellent workload capacity. Detailed explanation is follwed:

Ⅰ、Membrane walls have great rigidity and are well sealed, so there will be no transformation of two sides during operation and no need of refractory material, which can be replaced with light insulation material. The light of boiler brickwork and workload & cost of brickwork is less than others.

Ⅱ、Due to the well sealed membrane wall, less heat loss and flue gas loss, and higher boiler efficiency.

Ⅲ、The boiler temperature can rise up and cool down more quickly, shortening the start up and shut up time.

d.For ash cleaning of convective tube bank, we provide bypass ash dropped unit and internal ash dropped unit for your choice. Both of them can help keep the cleanness of tube bank and maintain the effective heat exchange between water in the tube and gas.                                                     e.The front and rear membrane wall can extend to the end of fore -and-aft arches, helping them attached to the membrane walls and not breaking downing during cooling.

f.The left & right membrane walls extend until the side sealing, to reduce the coking on the furnace, which affects the burning.

g.The rear membrane wall is sparse with two rows with fire wall in middle. The fire wall can protect the walls and form a reburning chamber. The carbon in the fly ash can be burned totally in the chamber so that the boiler efficiency is higher and the exhausted gas is cleaner.

h. In the aspect of combustion equipment, the enhanced active grate is adopted to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the grate.. To reduce the coal leak, we apply big grate for passive ones, and seven independent wind chambers under grate, which provide uniformly and adjusted wind from two sides. We can control the wind to meet different working condition's need.

i.The coal gate is water-cooled sawtooth type, which can loosen the coal to improve the burning surface. After years' practice, it's proven that this type coal gate can help the coal burned totally and there will be less coal in slag, and less incomplete combustion loss.

j.Finned tube of economizer can reduce the ash deposition in economizer. There is manhole for check and maintain above economizer.

Since the shop-assembled boiler of our factory has been put into the market, it has been welcomed by customers with its unique design, good operating performance and low supporting investment.

This series of products was awarded the National New Product Award by the Ministry of Economy and Trade in 1997, and the Golden Bull Award for Excellent New Products of Jiangsu Province in 1998.

Q:my boiler keeps going out after it lights for about an hour or two. it seems that the only way it will re-light is when the boiler is left idle or cooled down and I press the re-set switch then it re-lights for another hour or two. Anyone got any idea whats going wrong please??
Has it ever worked properly? Is the condensate drain clear? Many boilers react to buildup of condensate by cutting the flame sense signal to the ignition sequence controller. Loss of flame (real or fake) usually requires a manual reset. Is the gas pipe 22mm. all the way from the meter? Insufficient gas flow will cause the flame to go out. It could be overheating; try turning down the boiler thermostat. (If the thermostat is satisfied, it will go off but then come on again later without a manual reset.)
Q:Needed for licensing exam
1. Before attempting to start up the boiler, check to ensure that all systems are in good operation condition. Items to be given special attention are; a. Boiler water supply and feed system b. Fuel supply and feed system c. Forced draft blowers d. Steam valves, and pressure relief valves e. Boiler casing f. Steam drum and mud drums manhole covers, and super heater header handhole covers g. Ensure that the level of the water in the steam drum is at half full. h. Check to ensure that fuel spray nozzles are properly installed. 2. If all systems are OK then start up as follows; a. Recirculate the fuel to warm it. b. Run the force draft blower for about five minutes to purge the fire box of any explosive gas accummulation. c. Open the fuel valve to the fuel spray nozzle. d. Press the ignition switch. e. If the fuel fails to ignite, close the fuel valve then repeat procedure from b. f. After the fuel is ignited switch on the automatic combustion control. Don't attempt to repeatedly press on the ignition switch if the fuel does not ignite on the first attempt because atomized fuel would already have accummulated in the fire box and may explode.
Q:I have to design a boiler including the economizer, air preheater and superheater as an assignment. where can i find design equations for these? Any recommended ebooks?
See the link below. It is a boiler manufacturer's site, but I have found this 'Boiler Book' to contain a lot of good information. ASHRAE also has information regarding boiler room layouts.
Q:I just bought a house and had it's old Crane boiler inspected. The tech wouldn't even touch it on account of a large amount of soot build up on the inside and some outside. He said that we need a new one and said that the current one is dangerous. Is this true?
The following pertains to gas boilers. Soot is easy to cleanup. You become a mess but that's a part of the job. But worry about what caused the soot buildup. There is either a vent problem, like a blockage, or there is something wrong with the boiler's burner assembly. Get the problem fixed first, then clean the boiler system up. Vent piping can be taken down and hosed out in the back yard. You can clean the boiler up using a vacuum, and air pressure. But when you can, wash it out without damaging anything else. That's that's the best way. Wear your worst clothes and maybe consider breathing protection.
Q:I cannot find anything on the manufacturer website, and they don't reply to my e-mails.Boiler Model Num: JOT-3H-WBoiler Serial Num: JO-68035I am looking for a best case scenario - how efficient are boilers made in 1980's?...Thanks!
This Site Might Help You. RE: How efficient (approx) is the Peerless Oil Boiler made in 1985? I cannot find anything on the manufacturer website, and they don't reply to my e-mails. Boiler Model Num: JOT-3H-W Boiler Serial Num: JO-68035 I am looking for a best case scenario - how efficient are boilers made in 1980's?... Thanks!
Q:I have a HS TARM Multi-fuel Boiler # OT 35 It was made in Denmark around 1977. Any suggestions on how to convert this to burn pellets? Thanks for your help!
yes. central heaters which burn pellets
Q:I asked earlier about replacing my cylinder, now im wondering as this needs to be done, would it be better at this time if i could afford it, to actually change my whole system, as in a new boiler which does not need a water tank.My current boiler is a Potterton Netaheat 50e. What is the going rate for this work please? Thanks again in advance :)
you are thinking of a combi. dont get one, when it goes you have no heating or hotwater
Q:Boiler flue gas treatment
Boiler flue dust (including fly ash and carbon black), sulfur and nitrogen oxides are polluting the atmosphere of the material, without purification when the emission targets may meet the environmental protection requirements of several times to several times.
Q:I just had a new system put in 2 years ago. The heat worked last week, all of sudden, the circulator is making a humming/buzzing noise and my heat is not working. I follow the pipes and the water comes in cold, goes through the boiler, the pipe is then HOT, but then it connects to the pump, and the circulator and by that time, the pipes are cold. The circulator is also making a humming/buzzing noise. I've tried to reset the circuit breaker, but that hasn't fixed the problem. Please help...its getting cold up here in the northeast!
Gizmo is right again! I would try a rap with rubber hammer while the pump is energized. Sometimes this will free the pump. But, you should probably get a new one , just in case. Find out why it failed. Is it sized right, is the feed valve working? Call a trusted plumber and have him look for an hour! Good luck!................
Q:Please help me out with the detail regarding minuimum percentage of NDT to be done in construction of high pressure boilers with reference to relevant codes Standards (ASME).
The amount of non-destructive testing depends upon the design safety factor used for the boiler, which in turn determines the plate thicknesses used to fabricate it. The design safety factor is determined by the types of welds used and the amount of radiographic inspection performed on the welds. These are all as specified in the code. After completion of fabrication of the boiler and of all radiographic inspection, the boiler must then be hydrostatically pressure tested to 1 1/12 times the design pressure. Spot radiography of all the welded seams is usually performed as a minimum, but in many cases the shell will be 100% radiographed to save on material and fabrication costs. An increase in the amount of radiographic inspection allows them to use thinner plate materials.
