1. Structure introduction :
The boiler is a double-drum longitudinal natural circulation assembled water-tube boiler. The combustion equipment adopts light chain grate and equipped with stepless speed transmission device. The front, rear and two sides of the water-cooled wall are arranged in the furnace, and the water-cooled wall on both sides adopts the membrane wall structure. The front and rear water-cooled wall hanging special-shaped refractory bricks form a high and short front arch and a low and long rear arch above the grate, covering about 75 % of the length of the grate. The convection tube bundle is composed of boiler steel tubes, and the flue gas is folded into three return strokes with a partition wall. A cast iron economizer and a horizontal steel tube air preheater are arranged at the tail.
The blower blows cold air into the air preheater from the left side of the boiler, and enters the hot air ducts on both sides of the boiler after heat exchange. It rises to the furnace through nine independent grate air chambers. Each air inlet pipe is provided with an adjustment door, which makes the air distribution adjustment on the grate simple. The coal hopper is arranged in front of the combustion equipment, and the coal gate adopts a water-cooled cast steel serrated shape, which effectively increases the surface area of the coal seam and is conducive to the full combustion of coal.
The fuel enters the furnace through the coal hopper device and burns. The high-temperature flue gas absorbed by the water-cooled wall of the furnace enters the cooling chamber and convection tube bundle. After heat exchange, the furnace body is discharged into the cast iron economizer and tubular air preheater, and then through the dust collector. Finally, the induced draft fan is drawn from the chimney to the atmosphere.
2.Product features :
The membrane water-cooled wall boiler is one of the characteristic products of our factory. Because this type of boiler adopts a variety of new technologies and new structures, it has the characteristics that other boiler manufacturers do not have :
a.The burner, upper & lower drums and convective tube banks are assembled in workshop to reduce to workload at site, shorten the assembly period,ensure the assembly quality and cut the investment for client.
b.The boiler has double drums, total water tube and natural circulation, with large water capacit, large radiation heating surface,,large output capacity and safe & reliable operation.
c.Our boiler is featured in the left & right sides of furnace, where are all membrane walls. This feature helps enlarge the radiation heating surface effectively and enable the boiler with excellent workload capacity. Detailed explanation is follwed:
Ⅰ、Membrane walls have great rigidity and are well sealed, so there will be no transformation of two sides during operation and no need of refractory material, which can be replaced with light insulation material. The light of boiler brickwork and workload & cost of brickwork is less than others.
Ⅱ、Due to the well sealed membrane wall, less heat loss and flue gas loss, and higher boiler efficiency.
Ⅲ、The boiler temperature can rise up and cool down more quickly, shortening the start up and shut up time.
d.For ash cleaning of convective tube bank, we provide bypass ash dropped unit and internal ash dropped unit for your choice. Both of them can help keep the cleanness of tube bank and maintain the effective heat exchange between water in the tube and gas. e.The front and rear membrane wall can extend to the end of fore -and-aft arches, helping them attached to the membrane walls and not breaking downing during cooling.
f.The left & right membrane walls extend until the side sealing, to reduce the coking on the furnace, which affects the burning.。
g.The rear membrane wall is sparse with two rows with fire wall in middle. The fire wall can protect the walls and form a reburning chamber. The carbon in the fly ash can be burned totally in the chamber so that the boiler efficiency is higher and the exhausted gas is cleaner.
h. In the aspect of combustion equipment, the enhanced active grate is adopted to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the grate.. To reduce the coal leak, we apply big grate for passive ones, and seven independent wind chambers under grate, which provide uniformly and adjusted wind from two sides. We can control the wind to meet different working condition's need.
i.The coal gate is water-cooled sawtooth type, which can loosen the coal to improve the burning surface. After years' practice, it's proven that this type coal gate can help the coal burned totally and there will be less coal in slag, and less incomplete combustion loss.
j.Finned tube of economizer can reduce the ash deposition in economizer. There is manhole for check and maintain above economizer.

- Q: because the fact at high altitude water boils faster, steam generated will be much faster, is it true?
- A boiler is a sealed container being heated to turn water into steam. Because it is sealed from outside influences the height above sea level makes very little difference to savings of energy required to do that boiling it might even be a cost more situation due to depleted oxygen levels at higher altitudes .~~
- Q: anti cycling mode active on vailant boiler, what does it mean?
- The boiler incorporates an anti-cycling economiser control to prevent energy wasteful ON and OFF operation of the boiler for short periods when in the central heating mode. When turning the room thermostat to a higher setting there may therefore be a short delay before the boiler operates.

- I am surprised by this question as actually iron has, and is, used in boiler manufacture. You have not said of what kind of boilers you are thinking. In general, iron has been replaced by steel as steel is both stronger and cheaper, and can be welded which makes the manufacturing process cheaper too. Cast iron is also more brittle than steel.

- does the boiler ignite............. if not your problem is in the boiler. call the technical dept from the boiler manufacturer. if the boiler does ignite, check any isolating valves close to the tap. someone may be having a laugh with you.
- Q: I used a boiler to heat milk (the one with the coil inside) after a few seconds it started smelling bad like burnt food, i immediately drained the milk inside i noticed the coil was burnt it had this cracked up texture .. why did this happen? i had no idea it was wrong to use other liquid products with this heater besides water :(
- What happened is that the milk solids congealed on the coil and insulated it so that it overheated. If the cracked-up material does not clean off or if any part of the coil is now exposed, the boiler is toast and must be discarded.
- Q: The existing furnace is a natural gas furnace and I need a rough estimate to replace it. 1200 sq. ft cape cod home. zoned for 3 levels with one pump. I live in dupage county IL. The little research I did I found out I may need 130,000 btu furnace load. Recently we put in a new pump. One pump for the 3 levels of the house. The zones are controlled by closing down how much water to each level with valves by hand. Our bills in the winter have gone to 250 to 300. So we need to get that down a bit. Anybody out there had to have a similar job done? I don't want to get ripped off.
- Since the efficiency is the driving force you would be looking at a condensing type boiler. These are different than the old cast iron boilers that had some mass and water content. The condensing type boilers need good water movement through the heat exchanger and a primary loop installed. You would also need to have each zone controlled by a pump. So there would be some piping changes involved. The vent pipe would also need to be changed. Prices would vary with the specifics of your system so a job visit would be required to give a good estimate. Just roughly you could figure $5000 for a boiler, $2000 for piping changes and $2000 for labor.
- Q: help me guys on this. We have a 100BHP York-Shipley Global boiler, that has a maximum capacity of 3450 lb/hr. We use bunker fuel or # 6 oil (LSFO). My problem is how to compute if my boiler is efficient enough in giving the right heat to our cleaning machine? the cleaning machine has caustic inside which we will heat to about 60 to 65C. Addition:1. Boiler is dryback and firetube boiler2. Lets use ambient temperature example 32C for our water condensate tankSo i can prove that there are heat losses in our system.Pls reply if u need additional data. Thank u
- To determine the efficiency of the boiler you need to determine the amount of heat that goes into the feed water to make steam. You also need to know how much heat is in the fuel oil that is used in the burner(s). You divide the heat out by the heat in and then multiply by 100 that is the efficiency of the boiler. To determine the heat in, you have to know the actual composition of the fuel oil or it BTU content as well as the amount burned over a fixed period of time. For the heat out, you have to know the temperature and quantity of water into the boiler and the pressure and temperature of the steam out. The difference in the heat content of these two streams is the amount of the heat from the burned fuel that actually converts the water to steam. If you are just looking for heat losses then there are two possible areas. You may have too much air being used to combust the fuel. That can be determined by taking a composition of the flue gases to see if there is too much oxygen in the flue gases. The area for heat loss is the casing of the boiler. You can look for hot stops using an infrared camera. It is not clear what your actual interest is. Does the boiler seem to be short of capacity? Are you using more fuel than you think you should? Are you just trying to be sure the boiler is operating at it guaranteed efficiency? In all cases you really need to have an experienced engineer or technician took at your system and do the necessary tests.
