The first horizontal biomass boiler in China

Technical features:

By the great effort, we have developed the first biomass boiler without grate. There are three kinds of hot water boilers as following:

A: blue touchscreen control system, burning any biomass fuel without dark smoke.

B: colorful touchscreen control system. motor frequency control system. drain the coked fuel in the combustion procession. burning all coked biomass fuel.

C: large colorful touchscreen control system. intelligent control system, internet control system. drain the coked fuel in the combustion. burning all coked biomass fuel.

 

Characteristics:

1. Different from tradition vertical boiler, any parts of boiler could be checked and repaired. Even the fire pipes in the boiler could be replaced without boiler disassembled.

2. It adopts world leading patent combustion system. Boilers without grate will need no more grate transporting to solve coked fuel burning problem.

3. High temperature in the hearth could be controlled to make sure that temperature is enough high to do biomass pyrolysis gasification and complete combustion. With specially designed airflow spraying, tar will not be attached to the hearth after long-time combustion and pipes will not be blocked by the attached tar, it will do little effect on the boiler's efficiency after long time using, this is what users will neglect. Long-time energy saving is what matters.

4. As store is directly connected to the hearth, many biomass boilers catch fire easily. Applying anti-back fire structure and back-flow prevention device, so that only biomass fuel can be put  into hearth, high temperature airflow can't flow into bunker. We are equipped with safety fire protection device, even when the back-flow  prevention device fails, automatic monitoring feeding system will start to force high temperature into hearth. Boiler will stop working only after cleaning all the fuels.

5. Change the traditional boiler feeding way, decrease the feeding height of bunker, increase the capacity, reduce the labor strength.

6. Traditional biomass boiler only monitor output water temperature, Longxiao series adopts touchscreen control system, clients can monitor the parameters of temperature of input water, output water, smoke, fuels in bunker, combustion in hearth etc. After the change of relevant data, it will timely remind the user of maintenance, so that to allow user to get more information about running status and energy-saving data.

Q: Hi, I want to know is it good or bad practice to install a boiler in the bathroom? I have been told because the wet enviroment, the boiler is likely to ware quickly. How bad is it for a boiler to be installed in the bathroom?Thank you.
A boiler or a water heater (there is a difference.) I wouldn't put a boiler in the bathroom (or any other frequently occupied space) but a water heater does not build up much pressure so can be placed in a bathroom without any problem (besides having to look at it.) If it is a water-heater your talking about I would look into a tankless.
Q: The pilot light was still on, and no breakers were tripped. This wouldn't so bad except for the fact that it's snowing outside and the inside of my house is sitting at 52 degrees and falling. I called for a repair and they can't come out until tomorrow unless it was life threatening which it obviously isn't, but it sure does stink! As I'm typing this I am dressed like I'm camping, baklava and all!
Please forgive my answer, as I am only an electrician, who has never even seen a boiler. If your pilot light is working, that means you have gas to it, but just not enough for a larger fire. Whatever gives it more gas seems to be the problem. It might be a faulty thermostat or something. Can you manually increase the gas flow? Not sure why a gas thingy would need electrical power, but sometimes breakers dont appear to be tripped, but they are. If you see something labeled boiler, turn it off then back on. Now some advice: buy an electric heater for about 30 bucks for times like this, and it will atleast keep your room or several warm. Cover your windows with blankets, towels, as most of the cold air seeps thru windows. You can use a hairdryer or even an iron temp. in your bedroom to warm the room. The smaller the room your in the better, as your body heat will also help. Seal the bottoms of the doors with towels, as the heavier cold air will seep thru underneath. This should get you thru the night. Good luck to you
Q: Boiler seems to be hot but I am getting little or no hot water. We just started hitting the 70 degree mark here in CT so it is not running often but I never had this hot water issue before. The boiler is about 6 years old
If you still have hot water pressure, than I would assume the hot water coil is not stopped up. Your boiler should maintain approx. 160 degrees if you are heating domestic hot water with it. Your problem may be in the Aquastat.
Q: The water content in the boiler is 180 kg. The connected electric heater is 20 kW. Temperature of the water in starting is 27 Deg C. The final steam pressure required is 85 PSI.
First you have to heat the water and the boiler. Since you say nothing about the boiler you have to neglect the boiler part. You need to look up in a steam table the enthalpy of saturated liquid and vapor at 85 psi (99.7 psia, probably 100 psia is close enough) and figure out how much it changed. The part I don't know is how you know how much liquid you have and how much vapor you have without knowing the volume of the boiler. The two most plausible assumptions you can make here is that the boiler volume will only be large enough to hold the saturated liquid or that it will be so large as to require all the water to be vapor to be able to get to 85 psi. I would guess that you need to convert it all to steam so use that. So you compute the change in enthalpy from water to steam for the whole 180 kg and divide by the power input to get time to get there. Make sure to keep track of the unit conversions between metric and English units.

Q: I want to build a monotube boiler. I have plenty of muffler pipe in the garage, and its thickness complies with the ASME formulas for the design pressure, but the type of steel may not be boiler type. What do you think?
No for the following reasons. 1) the thickness may meet ASME requirements but what type of steel is it? 2) I'm sure the grade of steel is NOT sufficient for boiler tube applications, 3) the muffler tube is seamed and is NOT sufficient for boiler tube application, 4) is the muffler tube aluminized or galvanized because the coating may react with your fluid at higher temperatures, 5) the corrosion of the muffler tube may be accelerated at elevated temperatures when in contact with your fluid. You need to consider operating pressures, the ease of overheating, appropriate materials, heat flow, adequate safety valves, etc. Sorry, but don't take this too lightly and get yourself or others hurt.
