- Q:Do you know how fabric is made?
- Fabric is made by weaving threads or yarn togetherIf something is knitted, there is usually just one piece of yarn involved, but most fabric is made from many threads thread traveling in two directions.
- Q:I am thinking about putting a sheet on my horse for turnout and while he is in his stallWhat are the advantages to this? I'm not trying to prevent hair growth.just keep him clean and keep him a bit warmI bought a weathabeeta waterproof sheetThanks! :)
- Pizza Hut are just changing the name of a few of its stores as a temporary thing.its all to do with a marketing campaign and trying to advertise the new range of pastasOf course, everything else on the menu will stay the sameIm a Pizza Hut manager and believe me, we are all as confused about the silly name change as the customers! If the pasta is like any of the other products our 'amazing' marketing team have previously thought up, it wont sell and be off the menu in a few monthsTry not to be too hard on the staff at pizza hut.Ive just had to break the news to my staff that my assistant managers WONT recieve a payrise (even in line with the new minimum wage!) and now theyre also stopping bank holiday pay!!
- Q:Anyone have an easy pattern for crochet rectangle? I did a search in Google but only found one.?
- Excellent answer from Kim, very valid pointsIt appears that someone who may not really understand the processes involved has got themselves confused and decided that recycling aluminium isn’t such a good thingBut as Kim says, recycling saves a huge amount of energy, no need to extract and process the raw materials, and costs less.
- Q:help help
- You are correct, the average price of gas is approaching $4.00 a gallon but in all honesty, I am not really certain that this will change my mindset much concerning vacationIf you are going to pinch pennies, or in this case dollars, then the word vacation shouldn't even be in your vocabularyIf I want to go, then I will.
- Q:I'm finishing my basement, and in a few places there is a gap between the walls that are being built and and the concrete basement wallHow to keep the fiberglass insulation from sliding down over time? If I staple it, what would I staple it to? If I need some electrical work done, is it done before or after I put in the insulation (the studs will be there, of course).
- If you can reach it and the insulation you have has a kraft paper backing - they are designed with a 2 edge to staple to the studsIf you don't have studs to staple to or can't access them - then I have used packing tape to hold insulation in place - the 2 wide very stickly clear tape I would recommend getting all the wiring in before you insulate - best of luck
- Q:I've been clean for about a week and a half (Last time I smoked Marijuana was on the 22 of April), I exercise everyday for 15-20 mins, plus a one hour long bike ride, drink about 40oz of water daily, take multi-vitamin pill's daily and eat lots of apple's carrot's spinach things of that sortI have a urine test coming this Wednesday (May 7)I have at home test's but I keep coming up dirty and I'm really starting to freak outIs there anything else I can do to help rid my body of the THC?My (now former) smoking habits were pretty randomSometime's I would go a week without smoking and other times I would blaze maybe 3-4 times a weekI was never a super heavy toker1 small bowl and I was goodI was never the type of person who would sit and blaze bowl after bowl.
- This question gets asked so oftenOf course, the answer is that you can pass every drug test every time by not doing drugsBut anyway, here's my standard answer: The drug in marijuana, THC, is fat solubleThat means it gets stored in your fat reserves, so unfortunately it can be hard to get out of your systemYour body removes the THC through two routes: your kidneys and your liverSo, I would try to stay well hydratedThis will simply pass a lot of filtrate through your kidneys and allow the THC to leave your body at an accelerated rateI would drink plenty of water - say the 8 glasses everyone talks about - every dayAnd I would eat oatmealI don't mean mountains of the stuff, but for breakfast and maybe for an afternoon snackOats have something called soluble fiberThis is healthy because it binds up bile permanently in the intestine and causes it to be lost from the bodyYour liver detoxifies drugs by chewing them up and dumping them into the bileIf you shift the balance so that more bile is lost instead of being recycled, then it should help lower your THC levelsModerate exercise like a brisk walk around the block might help tooA crash diet or lots of exercise might backfire by releasing more THC than would normally leak out of your fat cellsUsually people say that drug tests will detect THC for 30 days, so I am not sure you have left yourself enough time - although I am a bit surprised at your failed tests because you seem to be miles ahead of the average stoner in terms of health and awarenessTry to be well hydrated when you take the test, so that your urine is diluteHTH, good luck, and I would appreciate it if you would pick a Best Answer since we cannot vote for Best Answers anymore.
- Q:I am planning to knit a few bikinis for the summer to be a little creative and I wannna know what would be the materials that I should look for in a yarn in order for it to be able to be used while swimmingAlso, I would like to know if I can find them at places like Walm art or Michaels.
- I agree with the first answer - NOTHING that stretches when it gets wetCotton is an excellent choice, and the smaller the yarn/thread, the less of a problem you'll have with things poking through that you'd rather didn't (or else you can line it with light-weight cotton fabric)'Knit-cro-sheen' or 'speed-cro-sheen' weight thread was the preferred weight for bikinis back in the 60's and 70'sCream, beige, or pastels are good colors to go for - white can turn yellow in chlorine or mottled brown in lake water, and bright/deep colors can fade rapidly in chlorineGood luck!
- Q:I live in Crowley Texas, and I need to file with the renters grievance board because the landlord refuses to fix my leaking kitchen faucet, the terrible insulation making the air conditioner run all day long and not cool the house also making me pay a $350 electric bill every monthKeep in mind i live in a one bedroom one bath 650 square foot houseMy neighbor has complained as well and the landlord told him There's nothing I'm going to doIt's only going to get hotterThis was after we had an a/c guy come out and tell us exactly what we thought- poor insulation in the attic, non thermal pane windows, and gaps in the foundation (can see daylight through cracks in door)Now she is refusing to even have a lawn care crew tend to the little bit of grass we actually haveIt has become more of a pain to live here yet im stuck to my lease ends.
- Hot water bottle helps a lot
- Q:My first year of college my cousin bought me an electric blanket for the winter(Lived in orders dorm where temperature was controlled by the building not by individual rooms) well that was ten years ago and needless to say my sweet blanket isn't as greater as he used to beCut itself off sometimes What is the average span of a blanket?
- Most electric blankets will last from 10 to 15 yearsThe less expensive ones are typically in the 10 year areaBasically, you should feel you've gotten a fair life from your blanket at 10 years.
