The wet felt is made from ceramic fiber blanket and inorganic bonder resulting in a flexible insulation that air dries to a hard, rigid structure, ideal for insulation of complex shapes, resistant to high hot gas velocities. The material is packaged in a clear polyethylene bag to retain the wet binder during shipment and storage. Care should be taken to prevent freezing of the product. Curing to remove water in the product can be accomplished by air drying for some days or by immediate temperature exposure in the application.

- I would ignore that previous statement.some companies are better than others.in how its built, options and pricing I have an Injen IS intake.its short ram but the amazing thing about that company is when Im able I can buy the cold air extension and throw it through the bumperWhen I bought it i couldnt afford a full CAI and I wanted to do some other engine work first.Im so glad I went with the option that offered the extensionIt was cheap too!
- Q: My attic has only 4 vertical joists and is about 72 tall at its peak in the middle, so I can't stand upright in most parts, and it tapers steeply towards the edges of the roof, limiting my space for adding insulationI have, at most, 4 of blown-in insulation right now and I'd like to add sufficient insulation to bring my attic to an R-49 value, which is recommended for where we live. After adding sufficient blown-in insulation to bring to the top of the joists (remember, they're only 4 tall), what's my best option for insulation? Should I just use rolled insulation and make it thicker towards the middle? Is there a rigid foam or other product I can use?
- You want 10 minimum on the attic floor, and then staple in styro foam joist vents in between each joist so the roof can breath in the summerThen staple in fiberglass batt insulation according to whatever size joist you haveShould be good to go.

- Q: Hello, I am an average Joe when it comes to piping and insulation work so I wanted to ask, in the case where there is a snow storm outside and I can t get supplies, is it best to cover a wire with the little amount of insulation I have or put insulation on the walls next to the pipes? (Water system)
- First off, there's only some relation between snow and cold weatherThe second one, if cold enough, can freeze a pipe, and it's usually coldest on a clear night, with no clouds at allAs y suggested, getting some insulation between a risky pipe and an outside wall is fine, but do NOT just insulate over such a pipe against the wall, or you increase the risk, as it keeps warm house air awayIf you're one of our Southern neighbors new to nasty winter weather, do more searching on preventing frozen pipes and winterizing a homeIncluded are some old-time tricks, like leaving cabinet doors open where there are risky pipes, leaving a trickle of water on in a faucet, and so forthGood chance you'll be fineIf you do get bit, find out exactly what happened where, then upgrade to prevent it happening againHappy New Year.
