Press fitting system joins pipe without welding or bolting. The components fit by crimping through the use of a special pressing tool. An O-ring that is inserted in the fitting ends of the pipe ensures a leak-proof connection. Press fitting system is the trend of pipeline industry. It is widely used in cold and hot water supply, heating supply, fire protection, medicinal gas, industrial petroleum pipeline system etc.

- Q: What is a more rugged trip: Alaska or Boston?
- 1 meter 3.2809 feet 3.2809 ft X lbf/ft? / 62.4 lbm/ft? 3.2809 ft x 62.4 lbm/ft? 204.72816 lbf/ft? 204.72816 lbf/ft? / 144 in?/ 1 ft? 1.421723 lbf/in? Since there is a hydrostatic head of 1.421723 psi per meter of elevation, they want a 4 psi increase per meter elevation to ensure sufficient flow and to take into account any minor additional head losses (due to piping length and any equivalent lengths for fittings and friction factor) to the point of delivery. The diameter is important due to friction head losses over a long length of pipeline and the Darcy-Weisbach equation applies. I responded to a similar inquiry regarding static head loss over a long length of pipeline. Edit: I forgot to mention that there are many tables which apply Hazen-Williams equation for head losses specifically for water piping systems. This approach is probably more appropriate for your water delivery design work. Both the Darcy-Weisbach and Hazen-Williams equations require the inside pipe diameter.
- Q: Can anyone please tell me what is the BMS (Bulilding Management System). Is there any regulation for BMS system?Where it has to be fitted and who are the approval authorities.
- It depends an what those same specifications are. If it is 1/2 low pressure low carbon steel pipe with malleable iron fittings, threaded will be cheaper. If it is 12 high pressure pipe, welded would probably be cheaper. Exactly where the crossover is I don't know, I suspect it might be around 2 pipe, but again it depends on the application.
- Q: I have a question regarding helmets. Please answer this question.?
- you can share, just talk about exactly what you will share and for what show with lots of days in advance. so, if you both wanted the same thing on the same day, then use your friend skills and say: well, how about this time, you use it and next time we both want the same thing, I'll get first pick. take turns on the favorite items in other words. sharing can be fine.and making it work is easy if you are truly friends, then you simply take turns. If you don't think you want to do it though, then if you are truly friends, she'll understand. If you're not really friends, then she'll get mad because she can't control you. So, you can just say, No thanks. I think it'll be too complicated. A true friend would then say, ok, cool. I just thought I'd ask. and would then move on and forget about it. simple as that.
- Q: I was talking to this jerk online, and I said I didn't want to date someone who felt the way he did about an important issue. He said I didn't realize you were such a lightning rod. What does that mean?
- Ultimate Underoos Man: Look- Would have emblem of UU (except more butt-shaped) on chest. Wardrobe would consist of yellow spandex, red cape and outer pair of Fruit of the Looms (with easy access front). Powers- Would possess ability to leap tall buildings and fart simutaneously in single bound. Ultimate underwear-spoiling powers in heat of battle would send menacing villains headed towards hills.
- Q: Does anyone know why this is happening? The battery is good, but after a medium length shower with the shower door open a little the alarm goes off. I plan to talk to the apartment office, but just wonder if it is defective. Thanks.
- Sounds kind of complicated to me. Why not just stabalize a wormhole and bring the oganism into the future alive? All you have to do is aim a large particle accellerator at the event horizon of a black hole. Then you harvest one end of the wormhole using magnetic forces. The other end of the wormhole at this point will remain at the moment the wormhole was made and aimed at the black hole. However, you simply travel through the wormhole and move it to the location you want. Then you use magnetic forces to push the wormhole into the blackhole, which should move the other end of the wormhole back billions of years. You thread the wormhole through, and bring the other end back to earth. What you have is a wormhole in the present, which passes through a blackhole, and points to the earth billions of years ago. By adjusting the central location of the wormhole. you can adjust where in the past the other end of the wormhole will point, kind of like moving the needle on a phonograph player. Granted, you wouldn't be able to use it to fight fires, but it would save you from having to reproduce the organism from their genetic samples.
- Q: My husband and I are trying to figure out how to save money on all our bills: electric, home gas, water, and grocery. Grocery is kind of obvious For electric, we obviously turn out all lights when not in use and we also let our dishes air dry. For home gas, we wash all our clothes in cold water and turned the heat from 67 to 60 degrees. We have re-sealed the doors and windows. For water, we only wash dishes in dishwasher and do laundry when it is full. No small loadsAnything you can add to this?
- It was a pretty descent list but as I read at the bottom you started to get a little crazy, why can't they watch tv on weekends or change the channel when they want to watch something else? Why must they be positive? So you are now controlling how they think too? I especially don't agree with you saying that all there grades must be 85 or above, what if they have a learning disability? Or what if they just simply can't reach that goal? Some courses are quite tough you know. I'm hoping this rule only applies to elementary and middle school, you can't expect them to reach 85 or higher in like an advanced physics class
- Q: A man handling a chemical gets a phone call and accidentally spills the chemical onto his hands without wearing safety gloves. All I wanna know is if this is related to workplace safety.
- It sounds like you have a water hammer. There might be air in your pipes. There are certain fittings that can be placed along the pipe to stop this. I forgot what it's called. Explain your problem to someone in the hardware store.
- Q: Even though his face looked more messed up GSP was clearly outstriking Shields for at least 3 or 4 of the 5 rounds and was never in danger of losing. After 4 rounds of futility why didn't Shields or his corner try a different gameplan? Would have made for a much more entertaining fight.
- Pump performance drops off sharply with increases in the Total Dynamic Head. TDH is the sum of the static head (height of discharge) and the dynamic head (resistance of pipe and fittings). Only small pumps are measured in GPH instead of GPM. 125 GPM (7500 GPH) is not a small pump. Their instructions call for a 18 dia. basin 30 deep. I would not go less than 24x36 for a basin on that size pump. If the basin is too small, the pump will short cycle, and even with internal temperature protection, it could burn out in a few days of short cycling. Be sure to put some holes into the bottom of the basin even if you are filling it from a drainage pipe from the side, as water pressure from the ground will float the basin up out of the hole. The weight of the pump is not enough to hold it down, in most cases. Be sure to drill a 3/16 hole in the pipe between the pump and check valve, preferably just above the pump discharge outlet, to prevent an airlock from damaging the shaft seal. It also needs a dedicated 15 amp circuit, with nothing else plugged into it. Personally, I would go with a Zoeller model 292, for that application, but the price would be much higher for a pump of Zoeller quality. They also have excellent technical support.
- Q: when shaving down there, how to avoid bumps?
- Here's what I do in that instance. I get a hack saw with a fine blade like a 24tpi or better yet a 32tpi. Cut back far enough to be able to put a gray boot then new plastic or brass from the Garbage Disposal thru the P-trap and waste arm. Just take the old drains out and put back new. I use plastic due to it's more convenient and it's hard to mess up. But if you want to go with the Brass, that's ok too. Don't try mixing the two cause your chances for leaks between the to fittings.
- Q: I am taking a chemistry course in college and will be taking more in the future due to my major so I want to buy a pair of nice safety goggles. Which stores can I go to buy them? I've searched online, and only Home Depot and Staples have limited selections. I cannot buy them online because I need them in a couple of days, so there is not enough time for shipping. thanks
- I always wondered that too until I looked into it more. This country is build on morals and religion, christianity/GOD and it is for a MAN AND A WOMAN. Everyone who gets married has to get married by someone who is licensed, that person is usually a minister or priest so they're just trying to say that it goes against the FACT of marriage. I don't care if gays get married or not, that has nothing to do with me that's them, but I guess I do understand the reason behind it, I don't agree but I do understand.
