Press fitting system joins pipe without welding or bolting. The components fit by crimping through the use of a special pressing tool. An O-ring that is inserted in the fitting ends of the pipe ensures a leak-proof connection. Press fitting system is the trend of pipeline industry. It is widely used in cold and hot water supply, heating supply, fire protection, medicinal gas, industrial petroleum pipeline system etc.

Q:Can you put auto locks in a 2001 sunfire that before didn't have any: Don't use pvc. Cpvc or pex is the better choice. Pex is faster to run and the fittings are crimped on.Cpvc takes longer a needs the glue to set up before turning on the water, but is cheaper and easier than copper.

What you are proposing would create a butt joint and they are very weak. There are some types of rubber boots that might allow this to be done but I've not seen anything exactly like what you are requesting.
