Press fitting system joins pipe without welding or bolting. The components fit by crimping through the use of a special pressing tool. An O-ring that is inserted in the fitting ends of the pipe ensures a leak-proof connection. Press fitting system is the trend of pipeline industry. It is widely used in cold and hot water supply, heating supply, fire protection, medicinal gas, industrial petroleum pipeline system etc.

The pressure drop in a full size globe valve even if it is fully open is much greater than a ball valve fully open. You also have to look at the pressure source. What happens to the pressure source when there is a change in flow rate or what happens to the flow rate when there is a change in the pressure source.

- technically speaking you cant really put an arch in it you can get different fittings to create an arch. what is it for? you can try heating it but if the pvc bubbles or burns the plastic will become thinner and it will also make it more brittle

- Do you mean lock nut? The question you are asking could have many answers. For example there is a lock nut that has a molly type locking thread. There is a liquid type nut lock. Its called loctite. Actually this is called thread locks. There is another type of nut lock. It is used for locking lug nuts on to rims. More of an anti theft lug nut. Then there is a nut lock that is actually a lock washer for locking the nut on to a threaded bolt. So the answer could be so many things. We need more information to answer the question.

Chains you will probably not need them but again it is compulsory to have some with you in case of heavy snowfall which can occur all winter. EDIT Studded tyres or Spikes as we call them in Germany and Austria are banned since at least 20 years over here. You need Winterreifen (S) or Allwetterreifen ( MS) tyres
