Press fitting system joins pipe without welding or bolting. The components fit by crimping through the use of a special pressing tool. An O-ring that is inserted in the fitting ends of the pipe ensures a leak-proof connection. Press fitting system is the trend of pipeline industry. It is widely used in cold and hot water supply, heating supply, fire protection, medicinal gas, industrial petroleum pipeline system etc.

- I have fixed this many times, it is one of two things, most likley the first, it needs to be vaccumed or blown out because of dust build up, if that dose not work, it needs to be replaced. as well depending on the age of the smoke detector, it should simply twist off its mounting brachet, and unplug. even after that, it might still beep due to the new battery, so chuck it somewhere it can't be heard for your own sanity.

- If they're standard pipe sizes and the join is purely functional then why not a standard compression fitting from a plumbing hardware store? If you want it to look better then you could insert one pipe inside the other and glue the overlap together- an expoxy should bond to both or silicone sealant for a more flexible bond If you have workshop tools, you could try threading the ends and bolting them together with o-rings to seal What is the fluid to be carried, how permanent a join and what environment will it operate in all need to be defined to give a better answer really!
- Q: I have a 99 Dodge Neon and I bought it used. I don't think the alarm in it is factory.I went to start it after it sat for a while and the alarm started going off, and the car wouldn't start. Wouldn't even try.The only way to make the alarm stop was to unplug the speaker with the alarm. The battery eventually died but a few days ago I went checking around.I found a small switch and a small black button wayy underneath my dash on the left had side close to the pedals. - Q: Lets say i am in 5th gear, i see some traffic ahead of me that is moving but its just really slow. I will downshift to 2nd, but i sometimes feel like the car is going to stall because it is going so slow. I do not want to full stop because the traffic IS moving, and i do not downshift to 1st. What do you normally do in this situation. It happens a lot to me during stop SIGNS. when i am waiting in line at stop SIGNS.another question is speed bumps: lets say i am in 2nd gear and i approach a speed bump. i start braking but as soon as i hit the speed bump my car starts to shake and rumble. should i press the clutch in as i go over speed bumps and just re-accelerate in the same gear? or what?

- if this is a water line u must shut the water off to the home. take a torch and heat the damaged area. take some flux( its a solder paste) and brush it over the area. then take some solder and add to the area. do this while u have the torch heating the pipe. it will not work without the heat if u never did this before u may be better off contacting a plumber. good luck
