- the problem is that tracking is not aligned properly. it means you might have touched the curb and tracking its out of line when speeding up the steering vibrates the faster you go the more it vibrates. i know it because i had same problem a while ago! ps. could also be because one of the wheels i buckled. make sure that the the tyre pressure is the same for the front 2 and same for the back.
- Q: I was cooking earlier and my smoke detectors went off. I live in an apartment complex and have three alarms (one in the hallway, and one in each bedroom). My husband had to take the one in the hall and one of the alarms in a bedroom off and unplug the alarm completely. The one in the other bedroom at that time was not going off so he left it up. Yet, that alarm is blinking rapidly a green light. An hour or so later we tried to plug in the other two alarms, yet they won't stop going off once attached by a/c power. I can't figure out what I need to do, I am so tired of listening to this alarm and I am worried to unplug the only remaining working alarm. (even though it is flashing rapidly a green light)Any help is appreciated, thanks!
- Sounds as though the detector is an AC power w/battery backup unit. Usually speaking: * it is connected to a house circuit (wires) using a breaker for a disconnecting means - you might need a competent electrician to shut off/disconnect the power to the detector for service/replacement * there is a battery to provide backup power * 'chirping' sounds are usually trouble indicators - battery needs replacement, sensor needs cleaning, etc. Prolly your best best is contact the detector manufacturer for assistance as we can only guess based on the info you've provided.

- galvanized pipe means just that it is coated with galvanize to help keep it from rusting. blk pipe has no coating inside and a blk finish outside, normally used for natural gas piping installations. wall thickness is either schedule 40, or 80. 40 is the standard 80 is a much thicker wall used for high pressure applications. the 1inch pipe and the 1inch nipples are the same wall thickness. the threads on both all taper inwards. by drilling a hole in galvanized pipe you will expose the inside wall of the hole to water,gas,oil, or what ever you are using the piping syatem for. therefore you are defeating the porpous of the galvanizd coating. hope this helped

- For starters, how old is the detector? You should replace them every ten years, battery and hardwired models both. Next, push the TEST button. If the unit squeals, it's probably okay. But that green LED should come on, if it doesn't check to be sure you have the battery in correctly.

- The sealing effect is better than the traditional O ring. The elastomeric seals are used as axial static seals for threaded oil and screw ends, and the cross section remains almost constant at high pressure.

- EDIT: There are systems that can install an epoxy liner in an existing sewer lateral. One of many is linked below. They will come into your house with a camera system and run it down the main sewer and find out where the break(s) occur. From there they will install an inflatable pipe within the system that will extrude the new epoxy liner. It may take a few hours, and it will cost about 40% of what a new pipe would cost, but there is little or no digging, and certainly nothing under your house. Ask around in your ara or search No Dig Sewer Repair or similar words. END EDIT. Clay sewer pipe of that vintage used mostly a mortar mix for the sealant - and some very few used rubber gaskets in addition to the mortar. Between settling and normal aging, the joints tend to move a little. And then between heating and cooling, hot water from a bath followed by cold water from a toilet flush, even more stress is put on the joints. Do this for 30 - 40 years and the joints get loose. An air-blaster system will blow the mortar right out of the joints, possibly split the pipes themselves and possibly even move the pipes themselves. It is absolutely the worst possible thing to do with a vitreous-pipe system. Keep in mind that the pipe itself tends to be pretty impervious to wear and tear - it is usually joint failure, movement and roots (causing joint failure and movement) that causes problems. Good luck with it. When/if you have to replace the pipes, consider Schedule 80 PVC if permitted by code. It is much stronger than Schedule 40, and should last at least 100 years, probably much more, if installed correctly. Use 304-stainless no-hub mechanical fittings rated for underground use, *NOT* solvent fittings. Or go straight to ductile iron and similar fittings.
