- Q: I wondered if you could break a bracket by flossing because if then i wouldn't want to floss that often.
- I don't think so they r like glue on your teeth I think it won't break
- Q: (x+1)^2 (2x-7)How would you expand these three brackets?I've tried working it out and this is what I got:x^2+2x+1 (2x-7)and I don't know what to do after that. Can somebody please explain? Thanks a lot.
- 2x^3 - 3x^2 - 12x - 7
- Q: I currently live in a state that doesn't require a front plate, but I'm moving to a state that does. My front bumper doesn't have a bracket to hold the license plate, or a place to zip tie it to. Can I just put the front plate up in the windshield? If not, is that something I have to pay to have put on?
- You can purchase the bracket at a junkyard and either install it yourself or have someone else (perhaps a dealer) install it for you. The cost is yours to pay.
- Q: I would like to install Quick Release Saddlebag brackets to my stock saddlebags, Any experience or suggestions?
- bolt on seems to be better, someone can steal your bags with quick release. Bubbas heres the number 800) 953-6930
- Q: How do i solve this equation:5x^2 - 4(2x - 3)(x - 5)How do i solve double brackets in general?example: (a -b)(c + d) ?
- First I'll start with the general, and then we'll apply it to the problem you have. For most double bracket problems you would work them out by FOIL-ing them. If you've never heard of it before, FOIL is the method given by: First Outside Inside Last These are the orders that you would multiply your terms, so lets take your example. (a-b)(c+d) FIRST, meaning the first numbers in the backets, in this case, we have a and c. so lets multiply them together. ac OUTSIDE, meaning the two numbers that form the outside of your problem, here we have a and d ad INSIDE, meaning the two numbers that form the inside of your problem, here we have -b and c. -bc LAST, the last number in each bracket, here we have -b and d -bd Now lets put them all together into one problem, and this would be your solution. In most cases, when you have one variable (just x usually), and youget to this point, you will have terms that you can combine, typically giving you a 3 term problem. If you have more than one variable (like x AND y) then you may have more. ac + ad - bc - bd Now, lets take a look at your problem. 5x^2 - 4(2x - 3)(x - 5) Let's apply our FOIL method to the numbers in the bracket. FIRST 2x*x 2x^2 OUTSIDE 2x*-5 -10x INSIDE -3*x -3x LAST -3*-5 +15 Now lets combine, what can we combine? How about the terms with x! 2x^2 -10x - 3x +15 Giving us 2x^2 -13x +15 BUT remember, that we're just dealing with the part in the bracket. The whole quantity is multiplied by 4! 8x^2 -52x +60 Then, remember that we also have the whole equation, which is now. (We use the parenthesis/brackets here because if you think about it, the problem is asking for 5x^2 less the QUANTITY of everything we did, so dont write it as 5x^2 - 8x^2 etc. you have to distribute the minus! 5x^2 - (8x^2-52x+60) So now our problem is 5x^2 - 8x^2 + 52x - 60 Simplify, and you have your answer! -3x^2 +52x -60
- Q: I was interested in purchasing a Fuji digital camera that takes two quick shots consecuitively, one with the flash and one without the flash so that the user can choose which picture turned out better. After looking at some of HP's cameras they have a feature called bracketing. Is it the same as the 2 quick shots? Can anyone tell me just what the bracketing feature on the HP cameras does and how it works?
- Bracketing lets you take several shots in a row with a range of EV settings, say 5 pictures from EV -2 to EV +2, or three shots from EV zero to EV +1.5 it's whatever you set the range to be. This way, when you hold down the shutter button, the camera will take a series of shots from slightly under exposed to slightly over exposed (hopefully including a shot with the perfect exposure). It's a nifty feature for tricky lighting conditions, but not what you were looking for. To take one shot with flash and one without, you'll have to change the settings manually (ie turn off the flash, and possibly crank up the ISO to compensate).
- Q: does it happen just randomly out of no where, I want to avoid my brackets from just popping off ?????????????
- Sticky, hard, chewy, and stringy foods.
- Q: I have a window that is 8 feet long. I am going to hang up curtains today but wasn't sure how far apart to space the brackets that hold the curtain rod. I was thinking of four total, spaced evenly. Does this sound right?
- That should be fine for most curtains. If the fabric is heavier such as a brocade, or a velvet, you might want to add one more bracket. Since you called them curtains and not drapes, it sounds like they are more lightweight and should be ok.
- Q: Can I put crazy glue to make it stay 2 my tooth and call my orthodontist tomorrow? -I think crazy glue or some cement my mom has to make the front mirror of her car stay up. Just as long as it is glued onto the tooth is fine. Otherwise if there is any 'danger' please let me kno, cuz i will proceed. Thanks
- Ack! Don't glue it back on, whatever you do! :( Even if you put it back carefully, you can't see it like the orthodontist sees it, and it could cause complications. Let the orthodontist handle it, just take the bracket to the appointment in a little bag or something.
- Q: for example, if it was 8(5-3x4/6) i have to simplify the number inside the bracket. do i do it from left to right, or do i do the multiplication and division before the subtracting?
- yes order of operations do apply
