- Q: I want a blank bracket that I can fill out as the selections are made.

- Q: I just got braces about 3 weeks ago and one of the brackets on my braces are loose. My next orthodontist appointment is coming up it will be on Monday which is December 5, so should I just wait until then to get it fixed?? I mean tomorrow is Thanksgiving so the place will definitely be closed. Would a loose bracket result in longer treatment?? What if a bracket falls off? Is it normal/typical for brackets to be loose in a while for everyone (because I wasn't even eating anything hard and suddenly it got loose). Sorry if I'm asking too many questions! But please help!!
- Brackets occasionally come off. One (or even 2) isn't going to set you back. Call your orthodontist. (December 5 is a Thursday, by the way) They may want to see you earlier than your scheduled appointment. Even if they don't, it's nice to let them know ahead of time that you have something that will need repaired.
- Q: Are loose brackets normal? I had a loose bracket and got it fixed today. They said not to fiddle with it or anything, but when I eat, my tooth bites down on the bracket, causing it to shift downwards.What am I to do? If I try to not hit the bracket when eating, i won't be able to chew properly.
- I know you were just at the office today, but I would call them and tell them that when you chew, you are hitting the bracket and you don't want it to come loose again. They may have you go in so they can adjust it, or they may tell you that you need to get used to it. Either way, if it does come loose again, you will have mentioned it to them.

- No single instrument would be bracketed, ever. Brackets are used to enclose groups of instruments. If you've got a quartet (violin 1, violin 2, viola, violoncello) the four instruments would be grouped together. If you were to write the violoncello solo over a piano reduction, you would have the piano (grand) staff braced { together, the violoncello would have no bracket or brace; just a normal barline at the beginning of each system.
- Q: I am trying to find an electrical conduit bracket that mounts conduit to a wall, but spaced away from the wall to negate the need to bend the conduit to fit a junction box. The conduit trade size is 1 1/4 and I attached a picture of the bracket in question

- x(x+6) multiply the first term in the bracket by the term outside the bracket to get x^2 multiply the second term in the bracket by the term outside the bracket to get +6x Answer x^2 + 6x 10g(g+6) multiply the first term in the bracket by the term outside the bracket to get 10g^2 multiply the second term in the bracket by the term outside the bracket to get +60g Answer 10g^2 + 60g

- brackets don't actually break like in half. When someone says they're broken a bracket, it means it got loose. You will be able to feel it move around with your tongue Basically, you will know when the happens. If nothing looks or feels out of the ordinary, it means it's fine
- Q: I am planning a cutthroat billiards tournament, but cannot find a bracket suitable for the event. Our tournament will be once a week for 6 weeks. Also, we don't always have the same number of people each week. Does anyone have an idea?
- The easiest way to figure out a bracket is to use a 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 player format. Say you had 6 players. You would use an 8-player bracket. This means you would have 2 byes. Draw out 8 lines on a sheet of paper. Write the word bye on the first line and the 8th line. Put the names of the players in a hat, on 6 pieces of paper. From top to bottom, from line 2 to line 7, draw a name and put it on line 2. Continue to do this until all 6 names are drawn. The first game, in the first round, is between the player on line 2 and the bye on line 1. Since the first game was a bye, advance the player on line 2 to the 2nd round. Next, the player on line 3 plays the player on line 4, with the winner advancing to play the player on line 2 who got a first round bye. Line 5 plays line 6, line 7 has the bye on line 8, so they automatically advance to the second round. In the second round, the line 1-2 winner plays the line 3-4 winner, the line 5-6 winner plays the line 7-8 winner. You should have 4 players left on 4 lines, for round 3. The first 2 players play each other and the bottom 2 play each other. After the third round is played, it's time for the final between the last 2 remaining players. Now say you have 12 players. You would use the 16-player format, you just have to put 2 byes at the top half of the bracket (lines 1 3), and 2 byes at the bottom half (lines 14 16). This will give you 1 more round than an 8-player format. If you end up with an odd number of players, just put 1 more bye on the top half of the bracket. If you have any problems just e-mail me.
