- Q: I have braces and two of my bottom brackets got loose today, they're the brackets on the left side of my back bottom teeth.When I go back to the orthodontist will they have to redo all my bottom braces, or they just fix those two? What should I do this is my second time breaking my braces, and I just got them January. Will this increase the amount of time I have to wear braces for? I have to wear them for two years and I hate them soooooooooo much! By the way is there anytime to decrease the amount of time I have to wear them for?

It will increase the time you have to wear the braces for, because when they put on the wire after fixing your loose brackets, the wire has to be the same size as it was before instead of a tighter size that will tighten your teeth more. There isn't really any way to decrease the amount of time you wear your braces for; just try not to get any more loose brackets.

- i got mine on about 2 weeks ago. They put this thing on you that stretches out ur mouth alot(put chapstick on before you go) then they apply primer, so the brackets will stay on. then they fit bands around your back molars, and that hurts a little bit. then they put the brackets on. and the worst part of that is when they secure the wire with little rubber bands(the colored parts of ur brackets) you can feel pressure when they do that. but dont worry, its kinda fun !!!
