- Q: i need a good vacuum that won't break. my family and i had one that lasted for about 5-6 years then we kept buying vacuums for under $100 after that one broke then those broke within a month or two .. i need one that will last and won't be a waste of my money. one that is under $200 ... please help me...?? :-(
- Depending where you live you can check discount stores that may have some good ones for less money. that's how I found mine- for $50. a couple of years ago. It's a Hoover and has a removeable cannister so you don't have to deal with messy paper filter bags. I can't recommend one brand over the other since I don't have that much experience. Just be sure you do the necessary maintenance once you buy one so that it doesn't become clogged with dirt and other debree. None of them will last forever but if you get 5-6 years that's not bad
- Q: I am looking to spend up to $400 on a new vacuum as my wife has some pretty nasty allergies to dust mites and molds. Any suggestions as to make/models or even just types of vacuums (bagless/bag) that I should consider. Thanks!
- Dyson are really good and around $400-$500. They are bagless and they really pick up the dirt. Target carries them for sure. Good Luck
- Q: I essentially am looking for a carpet/floor upright vaccum cleaner. I was looking around in stores and found a lot of choice however. I notieced the following things about various brands.1. Bissell = Seems to be the cheapest and offers more features for it's price but looks kind of flimsy. Is this a good brand. Offers 1 yr warranty.2. Dirt devel = Cost a little more and looks better. Offers 2 yr warranty?3. Hoover = I know this is a well known brand but all I was able to see was the steamvacs. My mom had one and it's about 4 yrs old. Its very good still cleans up.Also I noticed Canaster Vacuum cleaners. What are the advantages of these? What is the purpose of having a canaster? I just don't want to get a habbit of purchasing a vacuum every 1 year because it breaks....
- About canister vacs: Canisters are great at cleaning hardwood floors, drapes and hard to reach spots. Most canisters also come with an assortment of tools and attachments for special cleaning jobs. Some may find it awkward because you pull the vacuum from behind. If you don't want to replace your vacuum every year, go with a Dyson. It is the best purchase you will ever make. I spent hours looking in stores for the perfect vacuum and ended up finding just what I needed, the dyson dc15 animal, online (MUCH lower prices and better info) The suction never wears out, so you won't need to replace it. It is great at getting up hair and for people with allergies.
- Q: I have bought 4 vacuum cleaners in the past that all have fallen apart or just quit running right in the middle of using them, and all were less than 6 months old. I got tired of buying high price vacuum cleaners and them not lasting even 90 days. I have bought Hoover, Eureka, Dirt devil, and Phantom vacuums all of them turning out to be what I would say to be large rip offs.
- i have same problem, so I bought a Craftsman wet dry canitster vac, its normally used for garages but i use it in the home with its HEPA filter. it may sound weird but it works great even my mother is using one too. You need to get a Craftsman with at least a 4 Peak Horsepower to get it to really clean well. they have them at home improvement stores and are alot cheaper then those others. good luck
- Q: I have a pug that sheds constantly and I have gone through a few vacuum cleaners.
- I've found its better to invest in a high quality vacuum than to just keep buying cheap ones. I have a Dyson Pet Hair vacuum and it works great. It's out lasted all my other vacuums.
- Q: Is it safe to vacuum dust out of my Xbox 360 with no harm to the Xbox if I have not cleaned the inside of the Xbox for 7 years?
- It's absolutely not safe, vacuum cleaners produce static electricity which can fry the system.
- Q: especially for philips brand vacuum cleaners
- try it in Mock Kong ( may my spelling is wrong ).. near hong kong.... been once where u can find any thing .... it very cheap... there... buddy just try and write to me on this.... bye !!
- Q: Besides the price, are their any major differences between the two vacuum cleaners?
- Only difference I see is the Animal comes with dry powder and spot spray cleaners. The technical specs are the exact same. I'd say save the $50 and get the Full Kit.
- Q: I desperately need a small canister vacuum as my husband and I are disabled and they are very easy to use. Also has to be reasonably priced, new or used.
- The Ecovacs picked up debris well on bare floor, but performed poorly on carpet.
- Q: We know that black holes do not suck up everything in the universe; you have to cross the event horizon before you get sucked in forever. Does this make black holes comparable with vacuum cleaners? After all, vacuum cleaners do have a finite effective radius themselves
- interesting analogy! it would seem that most galaxies are pretty much in balance with their central black holes. Sure, it just keeps eating away at the core, but it seems we still have several billions of years left to us. Could get dicey when Andromeda comes to call. The Battle of the Black Holes?
