- Q: My dad just got a job as the Manager of a Hotel. What vacuums are good for housekeeping and don't cost alot?
- Not yet, but I pray to the Scandinavian gods every night that IKEA will formulate a Dyson vacuum for the masses, perhaps called a Suctionflugen or a Vacuumuum.
- Q: what is the history behind it, future designs background research.
- No one really knows when the first hand held vacuum cleaner was created but it was long after first vacuum cleaners were invented. First portable cleaners were carried on back until technology allowed to minimised their size. Future designs? Dyson DC30 Hand Held is a future IMO, but who knows? FOr sure they will be lighter and more compact.
- Q: i forced her before will she hate me forever and never take bath
- give her a bath in the dutch oven with LOTS of cooking oil. She wont resist ;u)
- Q: I need to buy a vacuum but I don't know what one I should get! Some help please? It needs to be able to go from carpet to hardwood. Actual Hardwood. And I would rather have bag less then bagged.Any suggestions?
- I recommend the Dyson. They are bagless and you can just wash out the filter and the canister. I got mine last year and I love it! In fact, I've never vacuumed so much! We have 2 dogs and it works well on both the carpet and the hard floor with the fur. I chose the canister model rather than the stand up, but that is personal choice. They only offer one canister model, but they offer many stand up models. LOVE IT!!!
- Q: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know I can buy a new, high tech(and plastic, foreign made piece of crap)vacuum. However, my Dad worked for Hoover for 40 years and built THIS one over 15 years ago. I've been able to maintain and repair it fine so far, but it's been having trouble with suction. I think the composite material of the fan blades is worn down.
- Hey okorder /... Is there any design flaws or anything I should know about this machine? Is it crap? Should I pass on it?
- Q: Is there a term for phobia of vacuum cleaners?
- vacuum phobia vacuum cleaner phobia dust-free phobia? suction phobia? dysonphobia? !*you can come up with your own*! ;)
- Q: What Materials are used to make the latest Dyson Vacuum cleaners, and what techniques were used to make them.
- Various polymers and injection molding. THe motor will use copper wire, which was drawn. Look on their website for more info.
- Q: My son just started crawling and of course tries to pick up every little thing on the carpet...heres the problem, he is terrified of the vacuum and too heavy for me to hold or keep in a carrier as I do it. How often do you do these chores, does anyone have a way for me to help my son not be afraid?
- When my children were smaller I use to sweep and mop once a day (usually in the evenings after they went to bed), and vacuum every other day (depending on how much stuff they were sticking in their mouths). One of my sons was terrified of the vacuum (he use to scream!) but then he got to where he liked to chase the vacuum...it just depends on your kid, I don't know how to help you there.
- Q: I am planning to buy a moderately priced vacuum cleaner at a target/walmart etc. This will be my first vacuum cleaner of my own and was hoping someone could recommend me a brand that makes moderately priced vacuum cleaners
- Eureka has great moderately priced vacuums. I am on a budget too, but the BEST purchase I ever made was my Dyson. Target carries then, they never loose suction, they come with an 5 year manufacturer's warranty and its amazing what it picks up that your old vacuum didn't.
- Q: My wife and I are looking into getting a new vacuum cleaner. My sister has a Dyson, and she is just in love with it. We know that there is a Dyson out there specifically made for pets (we have a black lab), which is what we are leaning towards. However, we have also heard that there have been a number of Dysons that have been returned due to problems with them. We've also heard that there is a brand of vacuum out there that is supposed to be almost exactly like the Dyson but with limited issues.Does anyone out thereknow of what this other brand is, and what are your experiences with either (Dyson or this other brand)? Good/bad?
- It depends on whether you really want a bagless Upright, a bagged upright or bagged canister. Dyson is the best bagless Upright. Sebo is the best Upright. Miele is the best vacuum cleaner period. Although it is a canister and if you not like canisters you may want to look at the Sebo. The Miele Callisto has an awesome SEB 217 Powerhead. It has the best edge cleaning ever. If you use this vacuum to pick up bird seed on a carpeted floor along the edges of your wall it will pick up ever piece guarantee it. You can use the powerhead on the bare floor which does a wonderful job. It has a squeegee underneath to really seal to the ground as well as all rubber wheels that will not scratch your floors. But if you want to use an even nicer tool it comes with an SBB 300-3 Floorbrush which is amazing. It has super wide holes all around and it will pick every up as well. it barely feels like you are pushing anything and it has a knuckle which allows you to twist and turn into and spot you want like behind the toilets, buffet table, couches and the floorbrush itself is low enough to get under the baseboards and kickjams. The filtration is 99.95% effective at 0.3 microns which is amazing. Thanks to its HEPA filter and super intensive clean bags the vacuum is able to achieve this kind of filtration. This a much better cleaner machine. Of course I enjoy using a canister. I bought my Miele Callisto from Mr. Vac and Mrs. Sew for only $699 with free shipping and no tax (because I do not live in new york). They were wonderful to deal with and they made my shopping experience a pleasant one. Here is their number (you have to call them up to get that price because that price can not be found anywhere on the Internet): 1-800-640-8227 Tell Lisa and Joe Kevin told you about it.
