Q: Greetings, all! I am currently cleaning my room, as in looking for dust spots and trying to sweep it up. I tried vacuuming, but my bird got scared and jumped to the bottom of the cage, so I figured to get a little birdhouse to move him while I did it. I also cleaned the lamp that I was using to give him light at night, and I accidentally swept too fast, I saw the particles rise around the cage. I got so worried. Should I be worried? Or is it only a large accumulation that could damage the bird? What can I do?Thanks in advance!
Get a vacuum cleaner that will pick up dust. These new vacuum cleaners they've come up with have Hepa filters in them and are supposed to be good if you have allergies and such. Might be helpful for the bird as well. I have one myself because I have 2 cats and a lot of hair shedding. It works great. Might want to try that.
Q: The one that starts out with vacuum cleaners making a squeaking noise? Damn i hate that commercial.
LOL LOL lucky lucky me I havent had the extreme displeasure of seeing that one!
Q: I should also add that I need a vacuum cleaner that has strong suction and is good for picking up cat hair.
I have a couple of Oreck vacuum cleaners. They have disposable bags. They are powerful and light weight. You need the Oreck hand vacuum that goes with the upright Oreck as there is no hose on the main unit. Oreck has a small vacuum with all the hose attachments and it also has a disposable bag. Very handy for doing stairs. I've had mine for about eight years with no problems at all.
Q: Should I spend a lot and expect it to last for years, or should I spend a little and expect to replace it next year. What brand and model should I buy. Please help!
We've got a Hooray Henry - great little worker and even has a cheery face! Got him after 2-3 others in recent years who literally bit the dust - Henry was recommended as can cope with more hoovering than a little dust so if you're doing renovations and have clumps of plaster it will suck 'em up and not wear out the motor.
Q: Is it safe to vacuum dust out of my Xbox 360 with no harm to the Xbox if I have not cleaned the inside of the Xbox for 7 years?
It's absolutely not safe, vacuum cleaners produce static electricity which can fry the system.
Q: Where is the cheapest place to find a Dyson vacuum cleaner? I missed out on a sale at HomeDepot and am kicking myself for it! Anyone know someplace good?? They usually retail for $399. Thanks!
The Dyson DC04 is one of the lower priced vacuums from this manufacturer at around $250. This was also the first upright vacuum that had a clutch system on the carpet cleaning brush. This mechanism allows for the brush to stop automatically if an object becomes obstructed in the roller. No more melting the power band. This unit has a 1200 watt motor that is never clogged. The tank capacity is 1.06 gallons and the cord is 27 ? feet long. Best of all, it is equipped with a HEPA filter for cleaner breathing by the user.
Q: Why do cats hate vacuum cleaners so much? We have three loud kids in our household, dishwasher, washing machine, motor bike etc and the cat doesn't worry. Start the vacuum cleaner and that is a whole other story. She will bolt and hide under my doona. Why do cats hate them so much and has anybody ever had or met a cat that doesn't mind vacuum cleaners?
our cats hate them too. I think its because there louder the washing machines and dishwashers. motor bikes are loud but they are kept out side or in a garage not inside. I also think there scared of them because you move them about and they might think you you will hit them with it or suck them up (lol) or something. No need to worry if your that worried about it put them in a different room or put them out side. All cats are the same!! Our cats hate them our white cat runs and stays on the window sill and the other stays on the sofa!!
Q: I had sales people come to my door last night. I was just getting in the shower. I told them I had very little time. Two came in and demostrated. The woman was very understand and went through it fast. When they were getting ready to leave the big boss came in. I am assuming to close the deal. He went throught the demo all over again. I kept telling him I have been through it already. Three hours later they were leaving!! She apologized. It seems like an amazing vacuum, but a lot of work. In addition to the work it was going to cost me 1900.00! I hear they Dyson (misspelled I am sure) is good. Does anyone know anything about the Dyson?
My momloves her Dyson, I personally own a Kirby and love it except the weight of it. Kirby's do last but if you have a 2 story then get a easier to lift model. I loke the fact that it has the hepa filter because my son has serious asthma and that is why I purchased it and that I am a clean freak so dust mites gross me out. You can't go wrong with a kirby I would go on OKorder or something and see what they run. Even one that is ten years old can be fixed up at the local Kirby shop. I would definately file a complaint against the salesmen, they are very good but that is ridiculous.
Q: I had two vacuum cleaners from Bissell. One has a problem with the belt piece and can't be repaired, and the other has started to come apart (roller and roller pin, belt latch, and even the dust cup has come off the vacuum cleaner on its own and not even full.)I have been meaning to get a new vacuum cleaner since both cleaners are pretty old. I have a hard tiled floor in the bathroom, kitchen, and pantry (where my cat has her litter box), and I have a carpeted floor in both the living room and bedroom. I'm on a tight budget and I have to keep my apartment extremely clean for my landlord's random inspections,
check with Which? - an excellent unbiased publication.
Q: My 6 month old Sammys in love with our vacuum, any time I try to vacuum the house he crawls around trying to grab at it, and if its just sitting there, he's practically tackle it and try to climb on it! All my siblings were scared horrible of vacuums, so i find this hilarious! Who else babies love vacuum cleaners??? And is there anything I can do to differ this attraction? Lol, its adorable, but makes cleaning harder!
That's too cute. I think he'll grow out of it though. My 17 month old is STILL terrified of the vacuum cleaner. She doesn't mind it if it's off, but the moment I turn it on she just starts screaming bloody murder. It's not a quiet machine by any means, so I think she's just intimidated by the noise.
