Q: I've had my scaffolding piercing for about a week now and when cleaning i've just dabbed the hydrogen peroxide and salt water around my ear. However i read that i should be rotating it when cleaning it. Should i rotate it after only a week?: you dont need to rotate a scaffolding piercing because its in such a place that it will rotate on its own throughout the day/night

Q: Im hoping to get an industrial/scaffold piercing done at the very beginning of the summer holidays.Is it possible that they can be pierced with 2 separate pieces of jewellery rather than one bar.Also would it be healed in time to take it out once the holidays are over (6 weeks)??Please help??!?Thanks x: Yep, some piercers prefer to do it that way. Just make sure you let them know that that's what you want when you go into the shop and they can accommodate you. No cartilage piercing is healed enough to remove in 6 weeks. Cartilage piercings can take anywhere from 6-12 MONTHS to fully heal.

Q: i had my scaffold piercing done in the summer holidays and wen i went back to school (currently in my last year) they told me to take it out so i had to go back to the piercer. They changed the bar to two clear retainers in the holes so they wouldn't heal, now it hurts all the time and is red with a bubble on the top of my ear, any suggestions as to what i should do? :/: try drying it out with sea salt soaks, tea tree oil, aspirin paste (crushed aspirin and water) , chamomile tea bag soaks !!! keloids are unpredictable , you can get them anytime from changing the jewelry early, irritation, bumping it on stuff or accidentally yanking it , and they will either stay or go away !!! you can prevent infections by cleaning the piercing regularly with anti bacterial soap and sea salt soaks , making sure to use clean hands when handling the piercing and not letting anyone touch the piercing

Q: What heights do u need a harness for(had to repost as didnt explain correctly in last 1): That first answer is correct. When I worked as a construction electrician back in the 1980's the OSHA requirements were not so strict, but now the harnesses and tie-offs are required for any work platform over 6' from the ground.

Q: Im a wimp for pain and im looking to get my scaffolding done. i want to know how painful it isI already have both lobs pierced and stretched to an 8mm, will the pain be similar to that?: You sound like you have a low tolerance for pain if you say you're a wimp haha, which means yeah it'll probably hurt you. It'll hurt more than the lobes because it's cartilage, and for the same reason you'll hear a popping noise as the hole is made. You won't be taken over by deathly pain or anything like that, it'll probably be sensitive for a few days after too so careful not to knock it against anyone/ anything. But if you want it bad enough, the pain will be bearable.
