Q:Can YOUHOOS at Yahoos give me an idea where I can find a sheetof heavy clear/ or even transparent plastic to put over my window thatnot like this cheap garbage I used from Frost King at home depot.. The last stuff came from a roll and was heavy duty and I don't need a roll of it, I'm just drawing a blank here. And this boxed up stuff sold in cheap discount stores really is garbage 1 mil junk.. Oh, and yes, this is their outdoor stuff , not the shrink indoor kit.... The window is about 4 ft x 6 ft..... 1950 era.....(hence the need for plastic ). I've got a few smaller as well... Q:will the house retain heat if plastic windows and frames are installed?: Very little. It is the trapped air inside insulation that makes it work. If the windows and or frames are insulated, then yes. The problem is, the gas used to insulate windows is not a do it yourself thing.

Q:Where can I buy some plastic to put up to my windows for the winter? ?: Stores like Lowes, Home Depot and hardware, have whole plastic kits to furnish low efficient windows in winter. Just go to the seasonal department and ask one of the associates for. Good luck...!

Q:Will window chalk(window marker) come off of Soft top plastic windows?: NO!!! i just put on the window chalk paint on my cousins cars headlights during his wedding and now they are stained red! and whatever you do don't put it on the grill. it took the silver paint off that too!

I want to know if condo buildings ever build their windows with plastic.: In all the years I've worked as an agent, I have yet to see a condo that uses plastic windows. All windows I've seen are glass, even in 1970s condos. I have never heard news reports of broken glass falling from condos. If that happens, obviously an incident has taken place, but it's not a reflection on the material or the installation quality.

Q:a$$hole, right? and what are they officially called, so i can look them up?: confident you may... yet do not. it is going to take you a minimum of three tries to get it to look halfways good and except you will get actual each and every bubble out and each factor suited, it is going to peel off finally do to the flex of the backside window. in simple terms my 2 cents, regardless of if it won't seem the way you like it to.

Q:The city requires me to separate paper and plastic into two different bins. I have been tearing the plastic windows out of envelopes (you know the kind you get from businesses) before sticking them into the paper bin. Do I even have to do this? And if I do, can I put the plastic window part I rip out into the plastic recycling bin?: You don't have to do this, but it will be easier for the city recycling center to recycle it. Yes, you can put the plastic window part into the plastic recycling bin. :D
