13.Product advantages

1. Via a series of processing procedures such as cutting and welding, Yuhong plastic steel door and window sections used for doors and windows are made into door and window frames. Meanwhile, steel lining is added into the cavities of sections to enhance their rigidity. Then a high-quality plastic steel door or and window is assembled as a whole, with an error of not more than 0.2mm.

2. By developing independently accessory moulds to optimize the features of its plastic steel doors and windows, Yuhong plastic steel doors and windows are free from the problem with inferior performance caused by the inadequate adaptability between sections and hardware, which are always from different manufactures.

3. Corrosion resistance: Yuhong doors and windows have good corrosion resistance due to the unique formulation of their sections, and all the accessories all dedicated anti-corrosive hardware, which will not be corroded even in severe circumstances.

4. Weathering resistance: the addition of stabilizer, anti-ager and modifying agent to the section formulation in a suitable proportion enhances the weathering resistance of sections, which will not discolor even after many years of service.

5. Fire retardancy: Yuhong doors and windows, which do not combust themselves, nor contribute to combustion, is safe and reliable.

6. Insulation property: Yuhong doors and windows do not conduct electricity due to their superior electric insulation property, and thus have a high level of safety factor.

Q: We live in an old, very poorly insulated house, and it's very drafty/cold during the winter. We've tried two-sided insulating tape that you put in the window sills, caulk strips that you put around the frame, etc. and none of it works. Is it worth the money to buy the plastic that you can put over the outside of your windows? The draft seems to be coming from where the window itself meets the sill, but also around the perimeter of the window (where the edging/molding is attached to the wall). I've read a few articles online about quot;how toquot; install plastic, but they all say that the plastic comes in kits and you need to attach it with the included double sided tape to your wooden window frame. our house is brick and there's not much of a frame outside. What little wood there is has been painted over many times, and I doubt tape would stick to it. Should I try to do it anyway? Is it worth the cost?
You can caulk around the windows first. That should have been done at instalation. If you need to, you can use 100% silicone to adhear the plastic to plastic and it is easily removed in the spring. Do a test section and let it cure for 48 hours and see how it holds and removes. I never did it but I do alot of caulking. If you dont seal the draft, no matter what you do, it will eventually blow off.
Q: I have a '97 Wrangler w/ soft top, the windows are scratched from tree limbs and I would like to take them out. Any suggestions, or tips?
The best thing to do is go to a marine supply store they have special products to clean and take the haze off plastic windows which are used on boat side curtains. Provided your windows are soft plastic.
Q: What exactly is this clear plastic window called and can I replace it? If so, where would I find the part? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Do I need to replace the entire cluster panel?
It is called the instrument cluster Bezel Lens. Get a bad instrument cluster out of a salvage yard with a good lens and figure out how to remove the lens without breaking the cluster. I did this for a rare BMW once, and I will tell you what I learned from the experience: After I unscrewed the back of the cluster, i had to go around the plastic housing sealed joint with a utility knife and carefully cut the two halves away from each other while running a screwdriver along to act as a wedge to apply a parting force. When I managed to to that, I found the lens was just sandwiched in between the two, so I was able to cut the new lens piece into the proper size and shape to match the old one. The new on came from another instrument cluster which had a larger lens, but the same thickness and same plexiglass material. I fitted it into place, and glued the two halves back together with super glue, and re-installed the back panel, and it was good to go.
Q: I'm about to move into an apartment room that I have been warned gets very cold in the winter (I live in MN). However, the person telling me this also mentioned that the windows had not been plastic wrapped the previous winter. In her opinion, however, plastic wrapping the windows would do no good because according to her quot;you can actually feel the cold coming up through the floor.quot; I think it's possible though that what she felt coming in through the floor was actually the drafts from the window sinking to the ground and spreading. Would plastic wrapping my windows eliminate this problem? Or would the room still be cold/I should request a different one? Thanks
Plastic around windows, if done correctly will help keep most of the cold air from entering windows..one draw back is not being able to see clearly through plastic..
Q: Looking for an actual number, not a quot;go call the builderquot; response. I already did that. Still looking for an actual savings amount though. Anybody do this and can give an example of energy savings?
Add figures for size of window, type of heating system, where you live, etc. Then the application will do the calculation.
Q: When is it ok to take the plastic off my windows for summer? (the weatherization plastic that you blow-dry tight in the fall) I want some fresh air in my house but am not sure if it's the right time yet. I live in upstate NY.
When you know you'll be comfortable in the house without the plastic on the windows. Some people are comfortable when the weather gets into the 50's, some at other temperatures.
Q: I don't mind if its designed for another brand but I am getting very frustrated because I can't find it on GE's site or any other. I bought the unit without it in hopes I could find one online but can't find the specific one. HELP! The piece is the one that sits in the window to hold the hose in the window. The unit is a Portable AC which means it sits on the floor not in the window so its got specially designed plastic plate piece that is adjustable for your window size.
Measure the window opening and go to a glass place with the hose and have them make you a lexan piece to fit the window with a hole in it. Lexan is very sturdy. You can run a rod straight thru the outside part of hose to keep it in place or tape it. It isn't like some technically expensive part to make. Actually it will probably be better than original. BTW, keep the hose as short as you can as it gets warm and heats the room as the compressor cools it. I had one and the closest I could get was 5 feet and it didn't help at all.
Q: I want to tag my boyfriends car, but is there an easy way to get the chalk off the plastic or will it stain it?
It may or may not stain it. But the chalk will scratch it. So its not a good idea...................md
Q: I'm tired of buying those window insulation kits that cost a lot and have a postage stamp's worth of plastic inside that covers maybe 1 1/2 windows. Is there a way to buy that type of plastic in bulk from somewhere? What is the brand, and where do they sell it?
You can apply Duck Roll-On 3-Window Film or 3M window insulation Kit this product will increase the insulation value in your windows. You can purchase this product at your local hardware store.
Q: I have tried the heating up shrink wrap and the double sided sticky tape won't hold on my wall. So I bought a thick layer of plastic and tried to hold it up with tacks and just duct tape around it. The duct tape also comes peeling of my walls. Is there some kind of tape/glue that can hold this plastic up and not peel off my walls?
If the walls are dirty, or painted with flat sheen paint, no tape will stick
