Q: I have seen it done both ways.: It would depend on which way is easier to access and which will give you a better seal. one benefit to outside is that you can often extend the plastic on past the window panes easier to be sure you seal air not only from the glass but also from any gaps in woodwork. Either way will be beneficial. I would look at where you will get the best seal and where you will do the least damage to trim etc when you staple it, tape it, or however you choose to adhere it

Q: I would like to completely remove it off of the car without removing the whole top? (The zipper broke): You may not want to permanently remove the window on your own. If you have the $$$ bring it to a shop. They will sew on a new window and then remove your old one. If you remove it first you will make it very difficult to get the new one on straight. Enjoy!

Q: they are white and look dingy: I have found using a product called Mean Green does a lovely job on the new vinyl windows. I use it on mine and found it great. I smoke and the place we live leaves road crud on them on the outside. This handles it great. Any good department store carries it, spray it on use warm water to wash off and rinse. Good to go.

Q: I'm tired of buying those window insulation kits that cost a lot and have a postage stamp's worth of plastic inside that covers maybe 1 1/2 windows.Is there a way to buy that type of plastic in bulk from somewhere? What is the brand, and where do they sell it?: You can apply Duck Roll-On 3-Window Film or 3M window insulation Kit this product will increase the insulation value in your windows. You can purchase this product at your local hardware store.

Q: need to cover out of reach windows with textured plastic sticky paper: Unfortunately the film can not be applied without close access to the inside or outside of the window. You or whoever applies it needs an extension ladder if it's above 16 ft. Taller ladders or what you need can be rented for a whole or half day at any rental store. Be very careful, falling from above 6 ft can be very traumatic and even deadly. If your not comfortable with heights you should seek out a handyman or a window tinting company and get a quote. If your injured, whatever they charge will appear cheep. Remember if you pay to have it done you won't have to rent a latter or buy the film. Whatever your charged to rent a latter and buy the film may be a good part of a tinting job by someone who does that and has what you want. Factor that in before you do it yourself. Good luck. SS
