Q: What are the different types of steel surface finishes for coils?
There are several types of steel surface finishes for coils, including hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanized, and coated finishes. Each finish offers unique properties and characteristics, such as improved strength, corrosion resistance, or aesthetic appeal. The choice of finish depends on the specific application and desired outcome for the steel coils.
Q: Guitar?I have a steel- string, but prefer nylon.:)
As people say, nylon strings are (generally) for classical/spanish acoustic guitars - put steel on those and goodbye guitar; the neck will bow and can break.. On other guitars then steel is what you need - if you put nylon on you will have no sustain and tonality. A reasonable guide is the string winding mechanism of the classical guitar. Actually, steel is a pretty much generic term as lots of steel strings are now coated or wound with bronze or phosphor-bronze etc. Strings also come in different gauges or thicknesses depending on what you play. Lighter strings are best for finger-picking and heavier for strumming. Electric guitar strings tend to be strung lighter than acoustic. Finally, a guitar is built for a certain string gauge. If you put strings on that are too light then you may get fret buzz but if you put strings on that are too heavy you could bow the neck of the guitar.
Q: Fallout 3 take it back quest?if i am in the rotunda and dont have broken steel installed yet so i cant leave if i instal it will i be able to continue the game even if im seconds away from the end without it Additional Detailsi know it continues on but im not sure if it will let me cause i got this far without it 1 objective away from finishing the quest idk if it will change that little bit so i can continue (ps3)already in the purifier place kill col. autum liek i said just gotta do the code thing to it idk if im to far for broken steel to effect this save file
Yes. The Broken Steel add-on goes automatically where ever you are. The thing is, I would like stand around the control room for a little while until the Broken Steel add-on is completely downloaded (Basically pop A LOT of rad-x and radaway). You should see a pop-up message saying that Broken Steel is installed and the level cap is now at 30.
Q: How are steel coils protected from chemical damage?
Steel coils are typically protected from chemical damage through the application of a protective coating or by storing them in a controlled environment to prevent exposure to corrosive substances.
Q: I was wondering what material most common motorcycle gas tanks are made out of? is it steel? stainless steel? aluminum? what are the advantages and disadvantages or each?
Steel is most common. Aluminum is lighter but it's harder to form, so more expensive. Plus it dents more easily. And you can't use a magnetic tank bag. I've seen stainless steel tanks but they were usually specially made.
Q: Also, what is the top best slow cooker that is 100% stainless steel? Thank you!
You do not want 100% stainless steel cookware, because it's a poor conductor of heat. All high quality stainless cookware is layered with stainless steel only on the exterior and interior surfaces, while having at least an internal heat spreading core of aluminum or copper. Not all stainless steel is sufficiently ferrous (magnetic) to work with electric inductive cooktops, so some stainless cookware adds an additional layer of ferrous steel in addition to the thermal cores. You also wouldn't want a slow cooker that's 100% stainless steel, because the uneven heating would cause food to burn more quickly. They are usually made of ceramic stoneware for a reason, even heating. Besides, a stainless pressure cooker (with alum/copper) core can in less than an hour everything a slow cooker does in 3+ hours, with better flavor, color, and nutritional content. By the way, the Prestige stainless cookware isn't 100% stainless, of course, and that's a GOOD thing.
Q: days. Use your knowledge of the corrosion of steel and aluminum to predict how they would look different after a week exposed to rainy weather. Explain your prediction.
I'd expect appearance of reddish dots or stains of rust on steel, while aluminium should stay virtually unchanged. Explanation: Both materials oxidize in natural environment because of atmospheric moist, but in very different ways. As for steel, oxidation begins as reddish dots of rust which grow and become stains. Oxidation then progresses in depth causing decay of material, compromising its strength and structural integrity.
Q: How are steel coils used in the manufacturing of safety systems?
Steel coils are commonly used in the manufacturing of safety systems such as airbags and seat belts. The steel coils are formed into springs which provide the necessary tension and force to ensure the proper functioning of these safety devices. The coils are carefully designed and integrated into the system to enhance its performance and reliability, ultimately helping to protect occupants in the event of a collision.
Q: How are steel coils used in the production of steel clamps?
Steel coils are used in the production of steel clamps as the primary raw material. The coils are fed into a machine that cuts, shapes, and bends them to create the desired clamp design. The strength and durability of the steel coils ensure that the resulting clamps are capable of securely holding objects together.
Q: Is there any other way of testing whether or not you have a 1944 Steel penny that won't damage the penny. The magnet test doesn't seem to work cause even when I try to get a 2007 penny to stick to the magnet...it won't. So is there some kind of magnet needed? Like power wise or anything like that, if not then I need to know what are other ways of testing the 1944 penny.
Weigh it. I'm not an expert on coins, but if the 1944 was 100% steel, I would expect it to weigh something different then modern pennies. Another test would be to measure the resistance with a micro-ohm meter. This is a specialized device that can measure resistance to a millionth of an ohm. Steel should have a different resistance than the metals used on other pennies. Here are some comments from wikipedia: In 1943, at the peak of World War II, cents of zinc-coated steel were made for a short time due to war demands for copper. A few (the U.S. Mint reports forty) copper cents from 1943 were produced from the 1942 planchets remaining in the bins. Similarly, some 1944 steel cents have been reported. Following 1943, salvaged ammunition shells made their way into the minting process, and it was not uncommon to see coins featuring streaks of brass or having a considerably darker finish than other issues.
