Q: how do you hold insulated plasterboard on the ceiling while you drill it?: you have about 3 choices..... rent a stand you put the bord on it then hand crank it to the cieling......or get some 1 to help you....or make a tool its just a couple of 2x4's nailed together to form a T make the long part of the T a little bit longer and just kick it in on a slight angle

Q: hello I intend on insulating and plaster boarding my shed soon. However I am not entirely sure of the best way to plasterboard onto a metal frame, because I do not want screws poking out of the board because you cannot nail into metal obviously. So I was wondering do most people use only liquid nails or how else is the board applied to the frame? I heard you can put small pieces of wood between the frame and the board then nail to the wood, is this a good technique? advice and opinions would be much appreciated thanks: use bolts. plaster and paint over to hide them. get the rounded, covered nuts to go on the outside of the shed.

Is there a british standard ?: I would nail it with sheetrock nails.......but if you are pounding on someone else's half of the wall I would use sheet rock screws. You can put one in about every 8 across a stud. Try not to break the paper. For the joints instead of paper tape I use fiberglass self sticking tape.........it's usually blue or yellow and mud right over it. If you are going to plaster it well that's the same tape but a little different application of the mud. I just hand texture the mud and do a knock down trowel finish.......it looks nice.......and is fairly simple to do.

Q: Hi! I want to hang my electric guitars on my wall which is made of plasterboard! Each guitar with have it's own hanger with two screws holding it on the wall. I will also use plasterboard wall plugs to hold the screws in place&gt; I am just wondering if the walls will be able to support the weight of the guitars at all or is this going to be a disaster?
