FAQ
1. For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?
—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.
2. What is the MOQ for this tile?
—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.
3. Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?
—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.
- Q: I‘m redoing my shower and want a tile floor at least. The bottom of the floor is about 6‘x6‘. I either want big tiles or the smaller tiles that are already connected on the back of them. Ideas?
- You need smaller tiles for the floor because of the slope it should have so the water will drain. Home depot carries the very basic sheets of small floor tiles. It's not a very expensive project and if you take your time and do it right it should last you many years. If you want to tile the walls around the shower go big! Less grout lines, less tile and it will make the shower look huge. Good luck!!
- Q: I just can‘t figure out how to get the holes through them to string them on the bracelet.I have a drill, but no access to a vice or clamp. It‘s also a really old drill and the bit looks bent. I just tried hammering holes in with nails, but it wouldn‘t even go in very far before splintering the tile. What do I do??
- I use a very fine drill bit and a Dremel tool. You need line up your holes and mark them on either side of the scrabble tile. Then you drill about half way in from each side. This lessens your chances of drilling through at an angle and ruining your tile. You need to be very careful and use a vise or clamp so you do not injure yourself. If you need a new drill bit, get a very small bit. You might even take a scrabble tile with you to be sure the drill bit is small enough. You cannot use a nail as it puts too much pressure on the wood and it will split on you every time.
- Q: tiles at the top of my pool have fallen off, these tiles are in the water. what is best or suggested adhesive to reinstall them?
- If you are redoing your tile,it means they have fallen off from one of two things: 1)movement.....clean the areas where tiles fell off with alcohol, then use silicone to put tiles back on and colored silicone for the grout....wipe excess silicone off tile face with scour pad and dish soap..looks fantastic and gives a little with movement! 2)water got behind tile..you must first fix mastic around pool or area where water is getting behind tile, then put tiles back on as above....the area must be bone dry before you atempt to put tiles back on....alcohol helps dry and clean..
- Q: i am getting my kitchen done over in 2 weeks cost is not a factor i cant decide to do tiles or harwood flooring which is better for the kitchen. i have two kids 2 and 5
- I am a kitchen designer and have seen so many clients go through this debate :) The problem is that every type of floor has its advantages and disadvantages. A lot of times, it really comes down to considering your lifestyle and what will be easiest for you. Tile is very durable, but will crack with time. As the house settles and the floor becomes uneven, there will be higher risk of cracking. Also if you drop something heavy on it. It is very easy to mop clean, but you do have to consider grout issues. The grout can be tough to clean if you choose a lighter color. Grout is also porous, so if you are worried about bacteria, you will have to keep up with sealing it. Hardwood is also durable, but you must be careful of water damage. If you spill water on it or have a leak under the sink, get it cleaned up as soon as you can. I don't think that means you have to mop up spills the second they hit the floor, but if there's an area in the kitchen that gets splashed a lot, you'll see the damage with time. Wood also needs to be refinished now and again, but not so frequently that it will stop you from purchasing it. There are also some really nice vinyl floors out there that look a lot like tile but are not as cold, hard and prone to cracking. However, if you drop a sharp knife on it or if a child wears soccer cleats around the kitchen, you'll see dents and punctures :) Some laminate flooring (like the brand name Pergo) have flooring that looks either like wood or tile. These floors are durable, but you'll have to beware water damage, just like with wood. This flooring is easy to install and take out. It also doesn't need to be refinished like hardwood. It's a lot to take in, but my advice is to consider the pros and cons of each, then think of your lifestyle and who lives in your house, then make a decision based on that. Good luck!
- Q: i have vinyl tile in my dinning room(high traffic) its new but its not brillant ,and i saw a mantenance guy last night in wallmart using a buffer machine to pollish the tile..my question what kind of pad the used?they use any quimical with this pad?..how often this treatment its needed?
- it was a buffer pad used after wax was applied and let dry on a clean floor
- Q: My kitchen is 15x11 and I am buying 18x18 tiles I need to know how many to buy.
- Your 1 st 2 answers are wrong or partly wrong. 18x18 tile is 324 square inches, divide by 144 ( 1 s/f) and you get 2.25 s/f per tile. Divide that into the 15x11 area(which is 165 s/f) You get 73.33 tiles or a bare minimum of 74 tile. I would most definitely get 7/10 extra tile to cover scrapes and cuts. You may need more or less depending on your layout and pattern you put in ( if any). Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. GL
- Q: How to quickly remove the transparent tape on the tiles
- 1, with a steel ball rub can solve the problem. 2, first with water and detergent mixture pour up the transparent tape on the residue, so 5 minutes or so let him wet with a damp cloth can be a direct rub 3, art knife oblique scraping about. 4, to the paint shop to buy rosemary, it is easy to wipe off 5, the most simple to take washing water spray, clean with a clean ball 6, very easy to do, with a wet towel dipped in detergent do not melt, just fine. 7, to the paint shop to buy a bottle of perfume, fell on the cloth. Soon you can wipe, with the next cover can also be used in the next. 8, there is gasoline can quickly erase 9, with a large treasure or other paint on the face of oil can be 10, with soapy water or pure alcohol can get 11, you can use hot water plus detergent scrub 12, there is a special adhesive cleaning agent, you can buy to the supermarket. At least online.
- Q: My house that we moved into has the original small tiled ugly green floor in the bathroom. I would love not having to rip it up and replace it before we sell it this spring. Is it possible to paint the tile. And if so how or where do I go to learn how to do this.Thanks.
- There okorder / it recommends not using floor tile paint in places such as bathrooms where there is moisture. I guess you could paint the floor a week or two before putting it on the market - a case of buyer beware if it all scrapes off 6 months later - but the paint is quite expensive so I wouldn't personally go down this route myself - as it's not a nice thing to happen for the unsuspecting buyers. I'm guessing that currently the floor is more of an eyesore as you haven't integrated this into your current bathroom design? Personally, I would ditch the painting idea and buy a decent off-cut of lino and cover up the old floor tiles since you only have a small area to work with. Lino nowadays comes in many guises/patterns and since it's a small area you can check all local companies for offcuts of perhaps the more expensive pseudo 'wood' type lino etc... You may spend ?50 but it will brighten the room and transform it into a more modern look - and ultimately will help you get your asking price. (You could also tell the buyers that the original green tiles are still underneath and they could reveal them if they wanted to...just don't tell them how ugly they are...the secret is to get them excited about new possibilities in the future!!) LOL Fingers crossed that your house sells quickly in the Spring. xx
- Q: Hey!,I want to know how to make handmade tiles that you can paint and stuff....I need step-by-step instructions please !!
- In some measure it depends on how strong you want the tiles to be. Fired clay, in even a tile sense, is usually done at 3600 degrees in a kiln. Then cooled, painted/glazed/ etc. and fired again. At a decent pottery retailer you can find dozens of types of clay, and in fact some that is low fire, or even oven bake, which can be hand painted, and perhaps glazed over with a clear coat and no re-firing, but the strength and durability issue will still exist. Clay for tile, Ceramic or Porcelain, is slab rolled for consistency, Cut precisely, fired in kilns, cooled, then is decorated variously. Some larger houses will sell blanks that one can decorate themselves, even coffee mugs/cups/ bathroom sinks. etc. Obviously with a rolling pin and some risers, at 3/8 or 1/4, you could hand roll the clay and cut it, but then what? Below is a link for a general search to a company that can give you all the info you need in various methods and types of clay used. I spent a lot of $$$ with them in the early part of this decade. Steven Wolf Just my two sense
- Q: Wondered what people‘s experiences were of the above in kitchens. The kitchen leads out into the back garden so the floor will be walked on an awful lot. Would flooring last or look as good after a year or would tiles be the way to go. Any info would be great before I make a purchase. Thanks
- Tile would be more durable. Wood will require more refinishing, but is more comfortable to stand on. Small area rugs/mats at entryways can go a long way to keeping the grit down and helping the wood floor surface last longer. It is a personal choice.
