1. Environmental Friendliness

There are various decorative patterns on the surface of the glass tile, so the tile is non-perspective, indoor imperceptibility is realized, light rays are scattered around the room, discomfort caused by direct solar radiation is solved and the indoor luminous environment is improved.
5. Fireproof Performance
The fireproof level of hollow glass tile is GB class A. According to Japanese law, it is recognized that single-layer wall has the same performance as the second kind fire door and double-layer wall has one-hour fireproof performance.
6. High Compression Resistance and Shock Resistance

- Your tile should stay shiny for a long time....as long as it was sealed after it was installed. You may want to ask the installer if they sealed it. If they did not, perhaps you have a claim against them. I am sure your local home improvement store has a sealer and a chemical for getting your shine back. Take a sample of your tile when you go in so they can give you a better professional recommendation. Also, take the tile to a tile/flooring store as they specialize in that.

- I have no idea. I know when I had my house tiled, I bought about ten spares just in case. I haven't had to use them yet though. Do you know where you bought the tile? Maybe you could try looking at one of those special order books that they carry in the stores.
- Q: I have asbestos tiles in my basement (of a home I recently purchased). I sent them off to a lab for testing. The lab results came back 4% asbestos. I definitely want to remove the tiles. The majority of the tiles are in good shape. Some of the corners on a few of them are cracking. Right now I am considering the DIY vs. hiring the pros for removalI have been given conflicting advise thus far. Some say do it yourself, there is a very low percentage of asbestos in your tiles -- 4%. Others say Don‘t risk it, pay for the peace of mind. Here are my questions: Is 4% a low percentage for asbestos tiles? Is this low enough to be trivial or of lessor concern when taking on DIY removal? The pros quoted me $1300 for removal and an additional $275 for an air quality test/certification. Is this a fair price for about 500 square feet of tiles? Is air quality testing really necessary given the low percentage of asbestos in my tiles? Or, are they just making money off the fear and hysteria around asbestos?

Long term breathing problems are not worth saving a few hundred dollars, and seeing some of the health issues my coworkers deal with on a daily bases has reinforced this idea to me quite heavily. - Q: Which tile is best Porcelain or ceramic for a concrete floor?
- Well porcelain tile -is- ceramic tile. It's just a bit of a different mix and baked differently than the ceramic, so that the color goes through the entire tile and not just at the top. The porcelain is also a more durable tile, so if you plan on dropping heavy things on the floor down there, then that's the one for you. In a basement, both will be pretty cold underfoot too. Just check for moisture issues and that it's properly level first before doing anything, but either way you are good to go :)
- Q: Looking to install ceramic tile over concrete basement slab, 12x12 or 13x13 tiles. Main question is how perfectly level/flat does the concrete need to be. If I put a tile down and there is some minor rocking is that no good or will the thinset adhesive take care of that.
- Any rocking means the tile is hitting either a high spot or there is a low spot. Low spots can be dealt with the thin set. As long as its less than a 1/4. High spots usually needs to be ground down flat. So to answer your question , for ease of installation and the prevention of cracked tiles at a later date, floors need to be as flat as possible. If you have minor rocking with no thin set down, in some cases a larger sized trowel will do the trick. Each case is different and has to be dealt with differently. - Q: Can I use talavera tiles for this? The porch is concrete and was painted at one time. Looks like the last owners removed the paint, but then left it as is. Is talavera tile ok to use on an outdoor porch. I don‘t know much about it, I‘ve only seen pictures and think it‘s beautiful! Thanks!!
- any tile you like is okay to use. my advice would be to prepare the surface by cleaning it thoroughly then using a concrete adhesive before setting your tile with white thinset mortar. after grouting , be sure to use a sealer to prevent moisture getting under the tiles. the sunlight will expand the water and cause vaporlock that will pop your tiles. then maintain by resealing at least once ayear.
- Q: We are wanting to get rid of old wood floors. We are debating tile vs. concrete finished floors. Pro/cons? What about cost difference.
- Tile can cost from about $1 and sqaure foot plus, thinset and grout plus the cost to install it. If you do it yourself it's free of course if you hire someone then it can cost from about $2 a square foot on up. so, it depends on how manyh sqare feet you have. Concrete flooring looks okay. It has an industrial look. It cracks very often and costs around $3 a square foot according to a friend of mines estimate. I say go with tile. It's a lot easier to clean and more durable and lasts a lot longer.
- Q: self stick floor tile, vapor barrier
- Staple the Luan over the tile make sure you use alot of staples to make sure your floor doesn't give at all and use liquid nails adhesive to help hold the Luan down. Also make sure no staples are sticking up because that would damage the floor tile. Then use a primer to paint on the luan to help the adhesive stick. I would also reccomend using addional adhesive. The adhesive on the back of the tile doesn't hold up very well. Spread vinyl floor tile adhesive over the floor and once it is tacky put your floor down. Make sure to let the floor acclimate to the room at least 48 hrs before installation. After you lay the floor it needs to be rolled with a 100lb. roller.
- Q: I would like to remove some tiles from one area of my kitchen and save as many as possible for use in another area of the kitchen. They are heavy 1979 ceramic tiles. How do I get them up and save some of them?
- Having recently removed a s***load of tile during a kitchen remodel, I wish you luck in saving a whole lot of them! Carefully slide a prybar under the edge of the tile---wiggle til it loosens then use the prybar as a lever to remove the tile. It worked for me. Surprisingly many remained whole without chips or cracks, and I wasn't trying to save them. Just didn't want the huge mess involved in the sledgehammer method. LOL
