FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 30*60 available?

—— Yes, 30*60 is available. Due to the basic size is 60*60, we need to cut 60*60 tile into 30*60. 6 pcs are packed into one carton.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q: I think the thinset under some of my ceramic tiles is crumbling. I have a concrete slab floor and it involves about 12 tiles between my kitchen and dining room. The grout and tiles have not cracked yet, but how would I fix the thinset without breaking up the good tiles?
It's rather difficult to diagnose the problem without seeing what is under your tile. It could be that you had a thinset failure, or perhaps you have a moisture problem within the slab. I would try and take up the full tiles where you hear the crumbling. It is possible that you allowed traffic on the tile too soon after setting. The concrete might have not been cleaned well enough prior to thinset application, thus thinset bonded to tile but not to slab in this area. Pull up some tile and write back with what you found out. I would bet the thinset is bonded to the tile, but not to the slab.
Q: is it better to rent a wet saw, or will a tile cutter be less expensive and less messy
It okorder /
Q: You are tiling a room with 1 foot squares tiles. The room is 11 feet 8 in wide and 15 ft 8 in long. How many whole tiles will you need? How many tiles will need to be cut? Each box of tiles covers 10 square feet. How many boxes of tiles will you need?
I believe the answer for the first question is 192. You are ASSUMING that you need not to count the cut ones. The first part of the problem saids You are tiling a room therefore you need to supply with whole tiles, a store will not sell cut and you cannot cut what you have not purchased. For any engineer, architect, builder the order of process is total needed, and then how many need to be cut and then you place your order so you need to know the number of packages. If answered your way that is when you see people going back to the store to buy more because they did not think orderly.
Q: Is it good to use a white cement?
Paste the tiles with cement paste, back seam with a good sealant, because the hook is not easy to change color, will not seepage, we do when the external walls are used
Q: I have a couple of tiles that have fell off and need to be put back on, what type glue do you apply to make them stick. They fell off due to foundation problems which is now fixed.
i would not use a torch. It probably could desire to reason any moisture trapped in the back of the tiles to enhance and then it may reason steam that could desire to pop the tiles off. What i could do is circulate to homestead Depot and purchase Krud Kutter. It softens paint and is quite gentle. Spray on wait slightly and scrub the paint off. As for the caulking there is caulking remover in an analogous area because of the fact the caulk is offered. good luck and effective %.
Q: i have just put down adhesive floor tiles in my bathroom, do i now need to use an extra sealant/pvc wash to seal the joins between the tiles as my kids enjoy splashing in the bath and i dont want the floor ( pvc sealed boards ) to lift if water gets in the gaps?
positively, yes, I am aware of the consequences if you don't, from personal experience
Q: How do I clean the grout on my tiled floor. It has become quite discoloured over the last two years, especially in the kitchen. I live in a company apartment and it is very important that it is kept sparkling clean. There are very pale, large, limestone tiles throughout with matching grout. Thank you.
There is fairly new cleaning technology out that uses peroxide based cleaners, which do an excellent job if used on a regular basis. I have only seen it in the commercial sector so far, but it replaces alot of the cleaning supplies used for numerous tasks. Hopefully it will soon come out for residential use. The biggest upside? It is 100% environmentally safe. Go to a custodial supply distributor to see if they carry some. Spartan Chemical has a product called Clean by Peroxy.
Q: we are installing 2inch hexagonal tile on the shower floor. anyone have any special tricks to getting them lined up properly? the tile guys have put it down and a lot of the spaces between the tiles are uneven. keep in mind the shower floor slopes a little towards the drain
They should have been set using spacers. It is VERY difficult to get the spacing even without some form of spacers. You can use just about anything for spacers. On occasion I have cut up paint stirring sticks and used those. The point is you need something to accurately set the spacing. If they did not do it right tell them to rip it all out and do it over. The fact that it slopes slightly towards the drain should have no bearing on the spacing at all.
Q: My wife noticed that our kitchen tile is made of a stone type substance not the traditional shiny type. well, i have to re grout the floor but now i also want to put a sealant on top of the whole floor. whats the best stuff and way? ty
Tile Lab, Cerama Seal and Miracle 511 is the 3 main ones I ve used over the years with out a problem. Get one that is a penetrating sealer which can be used on grout as soon as 72 hrs after grouting. But if you truly have a stone and not a glazed product you ll want to seal the tiles before grouting and then 72 hrs after to seal the grout and then seal the grout twice, Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there.
