Q: I need to have something that makes you think of a tiled bathroom with flair. My work tends to be creative and one of a kind because I work with people to give them the project they didn‘t know they wanted. It really is my passion to keep the customer happy that they had a hand in the layout. So how do you have a quick name that‘s memorable and not a commercial mess like Tile and Bathrooms Incorporated Industries. Anyone‘s help is much appreciated on this. Its been like thinking about the perfect kids name for your future child at this point. Thanks
Luxury Tile Bath Studios Executive Bath Tiles Goddess Bath Tiles Creative Bath Tile Studio DaVinci Bath Tiles . I figure something that makes me think of Mount Olympus Gods Goddesses using the can or something. Not Turkish Baths, though, 'cuz that makes me think you'll stumble upon some gay orgy inside or something. The Studio-bit makes me think that you're really creating a work of art. Maybe, Masterpiece Bath Tile Designs ?
Q: If you can tile on top do i need to prepare the old tile surface?
yes you can
Q: Some people say that only natural tiles have radiation. Cheap certainly not a natural stone, there will be no radiation, is that right?
All the objects in nature, as long as the temperature above the absolute temperature of zero, are in the form of electromagnetic waves to keep out the heat, this way of transmitting energy called radiation. The energy emitted by an object through radiation is called radiant energy. Radiation is calculated according to Roentgen / Hour (R) The media claims that the so-called granite that can cause radioactive damage to the human body, mainly refers to the relatively long decay time radon 22 (half-time of 3.83 days). In fact, since ancient times human beings live in a radioactive environment. Radioactive is not only natural stone, paint, cement, red brick, ceramics and other building materials are also. Need to be properly understood and treated correctly. Scientific development shows that a certain dose of radiation will not cause harm to the human body and the environment, the rational use can also benefit mankind. The use of stone in the home, the release of radiation from the tiles on the human body is negligible. If too concerned about the words of their own modern housing can not live, and modern residential structure of the main concrete, and concrete material is sand, sand is actually a small point of the stone .... dizzy dare not want to live to the moon is not the same kind of radiation
Q: What is the tile?
The so-called tiles are made of refractory metal oxides and semi-metallic oxides, through the process of grinding, mixing, pressing, glazing, sintering, and forming an acid-resistant ceramic or stone building , Collectively referred to as tiles. The raw materials are mostly made of clay, quartz sand and so on.
Q: Hey there. We are in the process of adding a half bath to our home. We purchased tiles months ago at a tent sale at out local tile store. We have some wall corners that might require bullnosed corner tiles but this wasnt taken into account when we purchased the tiles and now we cannot find matching bullnose tiles anywhere.......Is there any was to finish the wall edges without using bullnosed tiles and have it still look good???
Bnose tile is a new simplified way of doing tile and was to remove one of the grout edges. So all you have to do is grout the top like they did in the old days a few years ago. You could also use a thin lat of flat trim, a brass or stainless steel edging, or caulking that matches the wall or tile. I think the simple grout is your best bet. PS. Where corners meet If the tile is same color through they can show. If it is glazed colored or just a thin color on top then no. In that case cut the tile back so that they do not quite reach the corner. Then there will be a slight inverted corner where you will grout or caulk. In neither case would you want to miter the corner. It will be too sharp and thin corners would be weak enough to chip.
Q: Have you used the marble tiles, the quality, the price?
5. Try the water. Consumers can pour some water on the back of the tiles, pay attention to observe the speed of water absorption of tiles. After a few minutes, look at the positive water left the mark is obvious. After the water is spread, the density of the tiles is so long, and the water is not obvious. 6. Warping. Take two brick back to the back and face to face to see whether it can be in close contact with the phenomenon of excessive gap can determine whether there is warping. 7. infiltration. Find ink painted on the surface after 1 hour after scrub to see if there are traces, no trace is a good brick, there is a strong choice of infiltration.
Q: I have slate tile in now, but with sand underneath it. Is it possible for me to grout it into the cage? Is there a guide for this? Thanks.
A slate tile sounds great, I never thought of that. But grout is a terrible idea! It's chemical. Animals, esp. small ones with heat mats lamps, cannot be around chemicals like that. You're not even supposed to clean their cages with a sponge because of minor chemicals-they're very sensitive. There is no guide because that's a jerry rigged solution that isn't good for animals. And anyways if you grouted the tile in, you wouldn't be able to clean the cage good enough.
Q: i‘m having an investigatory project and its all about making tiles out of broken glass and rice hull. help me pls.
I'm not at all familiar with tile making using rice hulls, but certainly I'm curious. I've installed multiple thousands of sq. ft. of tile; as well as having sculpted clay to fire in my kiln. You don't state that the glass will be in chip form, or has to be fired/melted. I profess some ignorance but it seems that in some way, the process would require a Forge or kiln, and when and how would the rice hull be infused,,,and more importantly how might one expect Rice Hull to stand up to the same temps as it would take to liquify glass? Q: The walls of the decorative panels and tiles two materials in the interface where how to close the mouth
If the two are in a plane, the operation is relatively simple, you can use natural sewing, sealing sealant closed, embedded in the T-shaped aluminum and other methods; if not in a plane, there are high and low, you can use L-shaped aluminum or stainless steel cover Prominent side.
Q: im going to tile the floor next weekend with 16x16 ceramic tile, and i could use some advice2 questions actually...1. when i lay my backerboard, and tape the staggered seams, do i keep that thinset over the tape very thin? im afraid of a hump in the floor when i go to lay tile.2. how much pressure do i apply when seting the tiles in the thinset? ive seen websites that show very little pressure..and some that show alot of pressure. does it need to float on the thinset or mash it down in the thinset. i just want this to turn out good...its my 1st time, and ive done alot of research, but the information varies from person to person. any added advice or tips on this project would be greatly appreciated.
There is a really neat product called anti-fracture membrane available at most tile stores or in the tile section at home depot. The product is applied with a roller over your substrate whether concrete or backer board. A couple coats will prevent cracks from telegraphing up through your floor and prevent moisture from migrating up or down. Thinset is applied directly over the membrane. At work we trowell the thinset as flat as possible, no more than 1/2 thick and no more than 1/4 high. We also apply thinset to the back of the tile to insure a good bond. You shouldn't have to press the tile down very hard. Apply firm and even pressure to the tile pressing it down to your line. You can tap lightly on the tile to check for voids, you can hear if it is hollow. If you have to press really hard or if lots of thinset squeezes up between the tiles use less thinset. It can be frustrating at first but after a few tiles you should get the hang of it. A bucket of clean water and a sponge are helpful as even the best of us get a little thinset on the tile. good luck
